Overview of Research Studies on Forest Kindergartens

In the Bachelor thesis the author deals with the topic of forest kindergartens. Nowadays, the topic of forest kindergartens is becoming more and more topical. During the last few years, their number has started to increase both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Parents of young children often consider this alternative to traditional preschool education. This work examines what the authors of selected scientific articles from the Web of Science database on forest kindergartens are focusing on, which countries the published research is from, what are the differences on the topic in the countries examined and what findings the authors of the studies have come to. The bachelor's thesis, following the research, also presents a description of the author's own experience from the ERASMUS+ programme in Denmark, in Aarhus, at VIA University College from the programme "Nature and Social Education" and her own practical experience from a Czech forest kindergarten. Autism and Zootheraphy : Experiences from Special Centers

The aim of this thesis is to find out chat forms of zoorehabilitation exists and how it can help to people with autism and thein families. The work begins with a brief definitiv of autism and its history. The FIFA charter is devoted to autism spektrum disorders, its influence on social relationships, communication, imagination, games and interests. The sixth charter deals with disorders of the autism spektrum. I describe each disorder separately, its characteristics, even if there are not fixed boundaries between different disordes. The seventh charter is devoted to the diagnosis of autism spektrum disorders, chat are the metod sof diagnosis. Next charter describers chat options do parents of these childern have in education. Following charter describes Civic associations, that arise and hepl parents of childern affected by autism and ether formo f disabilities. Didactic utilization of selected woody plants around natural monument Čertova kazatelna

This diploma thesis is focused on the didactic use of woody plants in teaching at the secondary level of elementary schools and in the corresponding years of grammar schools. The purpose is to appropriately use trees and other woody plants that are close to schools and are available for teaching. The theoretical part deals with basic curricular documents, methods of teaching possibly used in science or biology that have been briefly characterized, and the representation of the topic of woody plants and their method of processing in commonly available textbooks. The following chapter provides a description of the woody plants used in the process of making of the practical materials. The research of the thesis includes a questionnaire survey done among teachers of science or biology at chosen elementary and grammar schools in Pilsen and surrounding towns. The research investigated the teaching methods and the actual use of woody plants in lessons and was evaluated afterwards. Based on the survey, a motivational teaching material was created and it was verified in practice with pupils of a specific grammar school. Vermicomposter as Teaching Aid in Environmental Education

In my bachelor thesis, I deal with a phenomenon which, in recent years, has become known among the general public - vermicomposting. This thesis is oriented to didactic application. It is aimed at verifying the possibility of creating and operating a vermicomposts at school environment and examining the possibilities of its usage in teaching to fulfil the objectives of Environmental Education. The main goal was to find out whether the vermicompost can serve as a full-fledged teaching aid both frontal education and project method of teaching. I have prepared several illustrative projects for this method. The location and operation of vermicomposts at school environment raises a number of other aspects that I have also mentioned. The course of the project implementation and usage of vermicomposts in the classroom is devoted to the practical part of my work. In the theoretical part, I try to approach the areas of dealing with the topic of biodegradable waste, the phenomenon of composting (with the emphasis on vermicomposting), Environmental Education and the status of learning aids and teaching methods. The realization of the project Vermicomposting at school was allowed at the place of my work - Santoška Primary School Prague 5. Lessons of Handicrafts, Biology and Chemistry were suitable for it....
Canistheraphy (zootherapy) in special education institutions

The bachelor thesis focuses on canistherapy as a possible therapeutic method, which uses the impact of animals on the human health and its use in practice. The thesis aims to verify in practice whether the dispositions of some dog breeds are more suitable for this method. It concentrates on the selection of the right canine regarding its sex, age and character. The theoretical part of the search deals with the forms, methods, concepts and principles of canistherapy. It focuses on its use in Rest Homes and Social Welfare Institutions. One part refers to the selection and preparation of a suitable dog and its use in health and social sphere. Practical part reviews the suitability of various breeds for specific methods of canistherapy. Questionnaire and a monitoring method were used for the purposes of the research. Conclusions were drawn from the analysis of replies to simple uestions and were further processed and converted to general charts. Most of the results comply with the professionals' views, e.g. they suggest the dog breed is not that significant as its character traits or positive approach to people. Use of animal assisted therapy and hippotherapy for children with physical and sensory disabilities and its application

The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of assisted therapy of dogs and horses for people with musculoskeletal disabilities and sensory impairments. The operational objective is to define the status and position of a therapy with the assistance of a dog and a horse in the context of the complex rehabilitation of a client. The theoretical part concentrates on the issues of zootherapy and zooasistance as supportive methods for easing muscle spasms, the development of fine and gross motor skills, development of verbal and nonverbal communication and development of orientation in space. In the research part of the thesis there are used qualitative techniques of data collection (history and observation), all rounded off by grounded theory. By the carried out research there were found positive manifestations in both the social and psychological areas, as well as in the areas of communication and development of fine and gross motor skills of children with disabilities.
Outdoor preschools

My diploma work is concerned with the themes of outdoor preschools and pre-school education. It searches for and is stemming from the similar subjects in foreign countries and within the Czech Republic. It shows what the benefits of children being outside are. It also searches and points out liabilities which are necessery to be taken into account. The work presents the used resources, which can lead to the foundation of the other outdoor preschools and their maintanence. The empirical study is managed as an action research. The first part of the practical section shows experiences of the outdoor preschools in general and it presents interviews with their pedagogues. The second part of the practical section deals with the opinion of experts and the non-professional community. Moving on, one then investigates the ideal level of achievement in separate competences in an ordinary preschool, and outdoor preschools. Further more, the next section is targeted at the expert's expectations and apprehensions about children staying at an outdoor preschool, taking into account their views in relation to outdoor preschools. Focus groups are being used to question the experts. The important part of the work is to analyse the legal enactments in relation to outdoor preschools motherly school.
Practical use of Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary School

The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden.
