Cluster analysis methods and their applications in marketing
Dvořák, Marek ; Vaněček, Pavel (advisor) ; Prášková, Zuzana (referee)
In this work we study algorithms for cluster analysis and their application to the real data. In the beginning, the various types of data are presented. We define dissimilarity measures for each type of data and for clusters to be able to do the clustering and evaluate the separation quantitatively. In the Chapter 2, there are described partitioning algorithms and some criteria to determine the optimal number of clusters. A part of this chapter is devoted to the fuzzy cluster analysis which is a generalization of partitioning techniques. Hierarchical algorithms are characterized in Chapter 3 as well as criteria for choosing the appropriate method. In the very end of this chapter, there is a comparison of all the methods in terms of various types of the separation functionals. Archetypal analysis, which is another data mining instrument, is described in Chapter 4. All chapters include illustration examples of usage. The main application part is the last chapter of this diploma thesis and it's based on the lifestyle survey in the Czech republic.
The use of an agent within a criminal procedure
Dvořák, Marek ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
1 POUŽITÍ AGENTA V TRESTNÍM ŘÍZENÍ THE USE OF AN AGENT WITHIN A CRIMINAL PROCEDURE Mgr. Marek Dvořák Rigorózní práce (2019) ABSTRACT This work deals with one of the effective tools for fighting with an organized crime, which is the use of an agent in criminal proceedings according to the § 158e of the Criminal Procedure Code. The use of an agent is one of the operative searching means that are exhaustively defined by procedural law. It is a strongly offensive instrument with very complicated legal regulation, which sometimes (as practically the only one) makes possible to obtain objective evidence directly from the complex environment of conspiratorially organized criminal groups. At the same time, the use of an agent often collides with a high standard of basic human rights guaranteed by national law and by international law as well. Therefore, this issue also requires an examination of its international aspects including the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. This thesis is divided (without an introduction and conclusion) into four major chapters. In these chapters, there are discussed all relevant issues in its entirety, including less common or controversial issues. Within the individual parts, the author is expressing his opinions de lege ferenda that should be considered. All of these...
Human Line-up in Criminal Proceedings
Dvořák, Marek ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Bruna, Eduard (referee) ; Musil, Jan (referee)
1 ABSTRACT DISSERTATION Human Line-up in Criminal Proceedings The thesis deals in detail with the human line-up in criminal proceedings, which is not only a traditional method of practical activity of police investigators, but with effect from 1st January 2002 also a separate criminal procedural step regulated in § 104b of the Penal Procedure Code as one of the special means of the taking of evidence. At the same time, it is necessary to reflect the fact that the quintessence of line-up is a psychological process of reconnaissance based on a comparison of a previously perceived person (retroactively equipped from a memory trace in the form of an idea/image) with currently perceived persons. The purpose of this procedure is primarily individual identification. The whole act, in which the rights and interests of individuals are logically in conflict, also reflects a large number of variables both on the part of the system of criminal justice (system variables) and on the side of circumstances of the criminally relevant event and of the persons themselves (estimator variables). Many of the variables cannot be objectively assessed. In addition, foreign retrospective reviews of cases clearly show a significant error of eyewitness testimony, which implies a high risk of convicting innocent persons if they fall...

Optimalization of mixed goods pickup and delivery
Šorf, Michal ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Dvořák, Marek (referee)
This thesis is focused on the use of linear models in the real world. Its main aim is to devise a mathematical model for a specific problem which is repeatedly encountered by the company Pospíchal s.r.o. and also to find an optimal solution with the help of this model. The thesis is based on basic distribution problems, such as the travelling salesman problem or the vehicle routing problem, which I subsequently modify into the required form. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first one focuses on the description of basic models that will be modified in the last part. The following part deals with a brief description of the company already mentioned above that provided data without which this task could not be demonstrated in practice. The final part includes a detailed analysis of the given task, formulation and description of the mathematical model, which was created on the basis of specific requirements of the company. There is also a comparison of actual results from practice with optimal results.
Human line-up in criminal proceedings
Dvořák, Marek ; Pelc, Vladimír (advisor) ; Heranová, Simona (referee)
The submitted diploma thesis deals with one of the special methods of the taking of evidence in criminal proceedings known as human recognition or line up. This method is specified in the current legal regulation of section 104b, Act No. 141/1961 Coll., Criminal Procedure Code. Particular attention is paid to the general definition of human recognition "in natura". However, some less common ways of execution of this method are also mentioned, such as blank line up occurring in some foreign jurisdictions (especially in Poland). Further attention is then focused on possible significant defects during the process of recognition with its legal consequences. The whole issue is even more complicated when we take into account that recognition as a criminal method is essentially unrepeatable. The thesis analyses foreign researches carried out in some countries, especially in the United States of America. Attention is then focused also on legal regulation of line-up (parade) in England and Wales, because these countries use one of the most modern methods in the world, such as video parade or CCTV. The question of the obligation to passively pass the recognition is also mentioned. Legislation does not deal with many of important questions and details so it's necessary to build on case law and opinions of criminal law...
YouTubers and their influence on teenager's values in the Czech Republic
Dvořák, Marek ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Soukup, Martin (referee)
The thesis "YouTubers and their influence on the values and development of teenagers in the Czech Republic" aims to determine the influence of people producing and presenting their own videos on the video-sharing website YouTube, the so-called YouTubers, on the social and educational development of teenagers. YouTube is a phenomenon of today's young generation which spends much more time on social networks than in front of television or print media, so the impact of this media on young people is considerable. The YouTubers have become within a very short period of time, approximately five years, idols of adolescents and they are influencing their values, way of expression, clothing style or their opinions on the events around them. However, for many adults this phenomenon is completely unknown or misunderstood. That is also why one of the objectives of this work is to clarify the phenomenon of YouTubers. The work focuses on the analysis of the Czech YouTube scene, its production and content. The first part is devoted to defining concepts which are important for adolescence, and theoretical bases for value creation or socialization. The second part aims to analyze YouTube as a powerful media which influences socio-cultural environment of teenagers through the videos uploaded by YouTubers. This...
Stability in Autoregressive Time Series Models
Dvořák, Marek ; Prášková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Hušková, Marie (referee) ; Picek, Jan (referee)
The main subject of this thesis is a change point detection in stationary vector autoregressions. Various test statistics are proposed for the retrospective break point detection in the parameters of such models, in particular, the derivation of their asymptotic distribution under the null hypothesis of no change. Testing procedures are based on the maximum like- lihood principle and are derived under normality, nevertheless the asymptotic results are valid for broader class of distributions and involve also the models with certain form of dependence. Simulation studies document the quality of the results.
