Formation of educational program for managers

Master's thesis deals with the system of education for company employees in selected company. The aim of this work is to analyze the current system of education of employees at Kolektory Praha, a. s., identify what educational needs have a group of line managers and form an appropriate educational program for them. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge in the field of business education and training of managers. The aim of this section is to define the importance of education in business practice and define the system of management education. The practical part analyzes the current state of system of employees' education at Kolektory Praha, a. s. using different methods. In addition, a comprehensive educational program for line managers is designed based on the results of analysis.
International employee mobility in multinational company

This diploma thesis deals with international employee mobility within an unnamed multinational company, whose primary business is providing consulting services. The first half of the thesis defines relevant terms and maps out problems concerning international employee mobility, based on accessible literature and specialized journals, with the second half being devoted to analysing the mobility processes within the unnamed company. The end goal is to map all mobility processes and programs, determine possible deficiencies that might exist, and indicate suggestions for their correction. Internal mobility policies and data combined with unstructured interviews of employees of the unnamed company were utilized to formulate this thesis.
HR management in the Japanese small and middle-sized companies located in the Central Europe

The main objective of this thesis is to monitor and analyse the HR management currently applied in the Japanese small and medium-sized companies located in the Czech Republic. The thesis clarifies to the reader how these companies approach the HR management and compares their approaches with the ones from the best practices. Among others, the discussed areas further include standardised interviews and long-term experience of the Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic. In general, the thesis not only provides a comprehensive view of HR management in small and medium-sized enterprises, but it also focuses on the characteristics of the HR management in the selected Japanese small and medium-sized companies. The hypothesis of the thesis is that these companies have adapted their HR management to the conditions on the Czech market and they have adjusted to the local business environment. The hypothesis was proven based on the available documents and conducted interviews.
NHL Players Reward Management and Practice

The thesis investigates the rewarding system of professional ice-hockey players in the National Hockey League. The opening part describes theoretical foundation of collective bargaining and human resources management activities -- reward management and performance appraisal, while it also reviews related bases of sports economics. The empirical chapters describe the framework of reward practices as a result of collective bargaining between representatives of the National Hockey League club owners and the National Hockey League Players'Association and investigate effects of the Salary Cap and related instruments of cooperation between the clubs on the player labour market and certain activities of human resources management of the clubs. The thesis discovers a large impact of collective bargaining on economic system of the NHL, low flexibility of rewarding system as a result of Salary Cap related restrictions, a significant impact of these restrictions on the mobility of players within the market and an increase in importance of the club rewarding system rationalization. The thesis also aims for alternative application of the findings on HRM in organizations of more traditional sectors of economy.
Managing and measuring of HR department´s contribution to the business targets

This thesis focuses on Human Resources in a company, it' s strategic managing and measuring it's contribution to the business. In theoretical part the main source is foreign literature and it analyses traditional and new conceptions of HR. It focuses on a role of HR director, as a main element of strategic level of HR and his/her role in a relation to the rest of a company and HR department. In practical part the thesis analyses a research, made among Czech companies, and comes into a conclusion, that the main cause of an unsatisfactory HR management in these companies is it's poor measurability. In the final, key part of the thesis it designs a process, which a company should follow in order to adopt a strategic HR and it's measurement by goals of a company.
Challenges in Human Resource Management till the year 2020

The thesis is divided into theoretical, methodological and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the development of management considering HR aspects, the development of the concept of HR work with detail on the models of human resource management and the importance of human resources. In the methodological part, the methods of research are presented. The research itself, its results and subsequent recommendations for HR professionals are described in the practical part of the thesis. First, the key challenges in human resource management are identified and characterized. These challenges are subjected to qualitative and quantitative researches and then the results are compared to Europe-wide survey by The Boston Consulting Group. The final chapter gives practical recommendations to HR professionals and executive managers how to work with the most key HR challenges so that HR professionals are treated as the business partners and the future competitiveness of a company in the market is ensured.
Motivational programme for talents and benefits for employee and employer

Master thesis is focused on the topic of talent management. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines basic terms of talent, talent management, talent management processes - acquisition, development and retention of talented employees in the organization. The second part of the thesis focuses firstly on the introduction of Unicorn and analysis of the current state of talent management in the company. Information was obtained by interviewing concerned people and by study of methodological materials of the company. Furthermore, the practical part presents an evaluation of the current state of work with talented employees in Unicorn and suggests improvements of the situation. The final section summarizes the outcomes and recommendations for Unicorn.
Strategy in training and development of the company employees with the use of new media

Diploma thesis is focused on education and development of employees in company with regard to use of new media and social networks. Aim of the thesis is to assess current situation in selected company and outline possible enhancements. Assessment is based on analysis of survey results, which were obtained from chosen respondents. The theoretical part contains the characteristics related to different forms of educations and interpretation of the developments of employees inside enterprise. This part also explains key concepts from the field of new media and social networks. The practical part analyzes processes linked to education in selected company. Centre of the analysis is built upon data obtained from survey results carried out among respondents. The aim of the research is to identify generation Y's view on the issue of the use of new media and social networks in employee education.
Analysis of recruiting experienced employees in KPMG Czech Republic

The main topic of Master's Thesis is the analysis of recruitment in the company KPMG Czech Republic, regarding to specifically experienced employees in the department Management Consulting. The thesis consists of two integrated parts; the theoretical part covers basic terms and pieces of knowledge in area of recruiting employees and the practical part introduces at first the company KPMG Czech Republic and the department Management Consulting. The analysis is focused on identifying external and internal conditions of recruiting experienced employees in the department of company and on assessing process as well as current methods of recruitment. On the base of findings and in consideration of the latest trends, there are set out suggestions on how is possible to optimize recruiting experienced professionals from external sources in the department Management Consulting.
Analysis of the current situation of CSR in Czech Republic

Over time, enterprises are more often turning to socially responsible business. Companies are doing so by various reasons: management decision, market and state requirements, efforts to raise the image on the market etc. However, CSR covers a wide range of activities and allows many different options of implementation. This thesis contains the analysis of the specifics of CSR in the Czech Republic, detection of the most advanced and omitted spheres. To achieve the goal of the thesis a survey was carried between companies that operate in the Czech Republic and have experience with social responsibility. Evaluation of the results brings out some positive changes in fundamental areas of CSR. Also the survey discovered the shift to more realistic perception of benefits arising from the implementation of accountability and sustainability in business activities.
