Tropical rainforest: dynamics of development and human impact (material for learning of geography at the highschools and universities)
Bartošová, Martina ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Matějček, Tomáš (referee)
The submitted thesis deals with the tropical rainforests as one of the most threatened biomes of the world. The work is a comprehensive research sources to Czech and foreign literature dealing with characteristics of tropical rainforests. The main causes of the disappearance of tropical rainforests are described. Particular attention is devoted to Amazon forests. Conclusion of this work is devoted to the treatment of a worksheet.
Comparison of view on man and the world in art and philosophy of ancient Greece
Bartošová, Martina ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee)
The aim of this thesis The comparison of the ancient-art and ancient-philosophy views of the man in the world is to discuss ancient man's featuring in the world, both from the philosophical and artistic point of view. The following chapters, comparing both creative activities, deal with the most important topics closely related to the perception of the ancient man and his world. In particular, the thesis focuses on the relation to the divine and the concept of the ideal beauty. This work's goal is to state, by comparing philosophy and visual arts, whether philosophical thinking has always corresponded with visual arts; and how much they have influenced each other. Keywords The relationship of art and philosophy, ancient Greece, God, beauty, movement.
NADP-dehydrogenases of medicinal plants.
Bartošová, Martina ; Hýsková, Veronika (advisor) ; Kubíčková, Božena (referee)
Medicinal plants usually contain metabolites formed by secondary biosynthetic pathways for example phenylpropanoid and shikimate pathway, which depend on NAPDH availability. In this work total content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids was determined in 10 medicinal plants common for Czech Republic. Activity of enzymes providing NADPH was determined as well. These enzymes were glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH, EC 1.1.1.49), NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase (NADP-ICDH, EC 1.1.1.42), NADP-malic enzyme (oxalacetate decarboxylating) (NADP-ME, EC 1.1.1.40). The activity of shikimate dehydrogenase (SDH, EC 1.1.1.25), the main enzyme of shikimate pathway, was also determined. Extraction methods were optimized for each assessment. Applicable source for NADP-dependent enzymes are black radish (Raphanus sativus L. var. niger), garlic (Allium sativum L.) and mint (Mentha piperita L). The highest content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids was determined in sage (Salvia officinalis), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) and Mentha citrata. Extraction with methanol was more effective than extraction with hot water. More extraction methods and studies are necessary for characterization of individual compounds and principals on which they work. Key words: medicinal plants, NADP-dependent enzymes, phenolic...
The employment of HPLC in chiral separation II.
Bartošová, Martina ; Kučera, Radim (advisor) ; Vrbatová, Ivana (referee)
Employment of HPLC in chiral separation II. Diploma thesis Martina Bartošová Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control Heyrovského 1203, Hradec Králové. The need to obtain enantiomerically pure substance increases due to the permanent growing demands on quality, efficiency and safety of drugs. The importance of chiral separations, which are necessary in the area of drug production as well as drug analysis, raises as a consenquence of this trend. There are several methods, which are capable of chiral separations. The most favourable are chromatographic methods, where the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) occupies the leading position. This method is being constatntly developed. High efficiency and fast separation of enantiomers are the main driving forces. The main demands are stable chiral stationary phases (CSP), which are able to achieve baseline enantiomeric separation in the shortest time as possible. The chiral stationary phases have to prove high selectivity, efficiency and mechanic resistance. This phenomenon leads to the continual search for new options in the area of CSPs. New alternatives have been in chiral selectors, which are responsible for the nature of chiral separations, and also in...
Možnosti regulace násady hroznů a význam pro kvalitu hroznů
Bartošová, Martina
This bachelor thesis named "Options how to regulate the quantity of grapes and importance for the quality of grapes" was written at Mendel University, Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice at the Department of viticulture and winemaking. The thesis aims to describe methods used for controlling grape quantity and their impact on grape quality. This work also includes an experiment with blue interspecific wine grape variety Cerason. The experiment was performed in the vineyard line "V Mendeleu" in wine village Lednice. The goals are to trim grape flowers or fruits, to compare values of an average yield for a bush, an average bunch-of-grapes weight, an average berry weight, sugar content, a volume of titratable acids and pH value for each grape variety and to assess best results. I have determined five types of regulation, one of them was also a check option - without any regulation. Within the experiment, a method of bisection of grape fruits and a method of restricting a number of grapes to one per a bush was used respectively. After assessing, I recommend the best option for trimming the tested Cerason variety.
