Hlaváčková, Marie ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
The aim of my thesis was to try to describe changes in perception that occur to women taking the parent role and accession to maternity leave. In the theoretical part, therefore, I first deal with the concept of motherhood in general, as well as changes in the psyche of a woman from pregnancy to baby and toddler age of children. Individual chapters are devoted to childbirth as a major event for the development of relationship with the child and the puerperium. In the empirical part of the work I am looking for different areas in which change in experience is reflected and context of these changes with other variables. The research was conducted in form of a questionnaire, the sample 71 women who spend their maternity or parental leave with her first child responded. These women showed a significant increase in responsibility, caring and a sense of fear, then increased feeling of happiness and life fulfilment as well as overall satisfaction. In contrast decrease was recorded in the possibility of selfdevelopment and communications possibilities of these women. For other items there was not seen a significant increase or decrease. When searching for the relationship between women's feelings and other variables was found non-linear relationship of certain items on the length of time spent by women on maternity...

At the end of the theoretical part there are stated the results concerning the number of believers and members of Christian churches from the census held in the Czech Republic, and there is also described a specific relation of the Czech society to Christian churches. The other part of the dissertation describes the results of qualitative research among 20 converts. The aim of the research was to compare the conversion process of young people with the models described in the theoretical part and to find out reasons which led to their decision to join a particular church. The respondents were chosen from the Catholic Church, the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and three pentecostal churches because the research also tried to find out if the reasons for...

Zezulová, Dominika ; Horáková Hoskovcová, Simona (advisor) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the study of each transitory phase of the human's lifespan. The leading thread of this thesis is the Erikson's life stages theory that leads us by its nature to overcome the challenges of each stage. This basic approach is completed with partial findings of other theories in order for each stage to be introduced with all its conflicts, risks and challenges that can lead to the development of person's character. Text is completed with theoretical processing of several specific stage transitions (for example the beginning of the school attendance, wedding, beginning of the retirement etc.) One chapter is dedicated to the ritual as a tool of managing the transitional periods. Practical part of the thesis is presented by the current phenomenon of postponing the transition from childless to maternal stage of woman's life with the help of analysis of internet discussions where the motivations of young women for the postponing of motherhood are studied. Keywords: transitional period, transitional crisis, postponing motherhood
