The work is dedicated to security from the perspective of the publication of documents, i.e. the content of PDF files. It does not deal with application security, i.e. a possible attack on PDF files by malicious software. This text educates readers in the topic and its conclusion is an evaluation of security types, along with a practical set of recommendations for publishing secure PDF documents.

Abstract The thesis is dealing with possible ways of interpretation of text message. Particular emphasis is put on the processes which take place within reader during interpretation. Main benefits of the work are creation of the original model of interpretation based on the Shannon-Weaver mathematical model of communication and its placement into wider interpretation theory issue. First part of work describes widespread Shannon-Weaver mathematical model together with matching model of interpretation. Also, there is described a model of communication which was adapted especially for use of interpreting on interpersonal communication by means of text. Practical use of current theories of interpretations is outlined as well, together with the detail description of the term of information value of message for author, reader and objective observer. In the second part, process of interpretation is described and situated on improved communication model. The Eco's Theory of interpretation is also described here on examples. The theory is further expanded by elements of the work of D. R. Hofstadter, Stuart Hall and S. Pierce. In thesis the emphasis is put on the role of the reader during interpretation. Third part deals with previous theories, compared in transparent process of interpretation of text. The process is also expressed using a graphic modeling tools. Fourth part is devoted to presentation of the case study which illustrates the process of interpretation of text message, based on extended model of Interpretation.
Space distribution of filler in polymeric material
Saxl, Ivan ; Trefílková, B. ; Ponížil, P. ; Čermák, R.
Stochastic analysis of the spatial arrangement of spherical particles in glycerine thin films.
Modelling spherulite growth by planar tessellations
Saxl, Ivan ; Čermák, R. ; Ponížil, P.
Computer simulated models of planar Poisson-Voronoi and Johnson-Mehl tessellations are compared with a gradually growing thin spherulite layer of polypropylen. The growth kinetics is described and a non-homogeneous Johnson-Mehl tessellation is proposed as a suitable model.
Perception and production of graphic design in different cultures
Čermák, Radim ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
The modern world is more and more dependent on information. As grows its importance, so does its quantity. That is why the good communication, especially the visual one, is indispensable for the proper disclosure and addressing of potential recipients of information. Graphic design provides the form of visual communication. The interconnection of different cultures is linked with the quick pace of globalization - thus the communication with different cultures is important. Each culture is based on specific values that can vary and very often do to a great extent. These values are then reflected in all areas of human activity, graphic design included. At first, we define the term culture and have a look at the process by which we acquire it - to find out its influence on us. We use as a means the interdisciplinary approach which draws knowledge on cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology and anthropology. Next, we focus on the principles of visual perception and studies concerning the difference in behavior and visual perception in different cultures. We divide the world on the basis of culture-shape events into different cultural units and we analyze graphic design in different cultures by using the knowledge from the previous chapters. We point out the principles and potential pitfalls of symbols and colors in the communication with other cultures. We describe the way how the paradigm of cultural values is reflected in the graphic design and we try to capture the features of visual communication typical for each culture.

Na základě těchto faktů práce popisuje, jaký přístup k tvorbě grafického designu oslovuje zákazníky v příslušných kulturách a jaký přístup má potenciál oslovit zákazníka v interkulturálním měřítku. Zabývá se také možnými problémy při přenosu grafického designu mezi různými kulturami a popisuje historii grafického designu a jeho možný vývoj v budoucnosti.
