Podcasting as a New Media Phenomenon and its Current State in the Czech Republic
Svobodová, Markéta ; Vochocová, Lenka (advisor) ; Miessler, Jan (referee)
This MA thesis is devoted to podcasting, one of the phenomena of new media. It describes its origins and development; in greater detail it deals with the present state and characteristic features of podcasts from the viewpoint of their contents, forms, user practice, ways of financing, and also technological perspectives. Attention is focused on elements which interconnect podcasting with radio and radio programmes and also on their differences. The phenomenon is presented in the context of chosen concepts related to web 2.0. Several chapters focussed generally on the development and present state of podcasting are devoted to the situation in the Czech Republic. The research part then provides insight into the present situation from the point of view of independent podcast creators, with whom half-structured interviews were carried out. On the basis of a qualitative analysis of these interviews, several types of attitudes to podcasting and a number of factors related to production of podcasts were identified - primarily motivations to create them as well as some discouraging aspects. Further results of the analysis concern motivation of the authors to listen to podcasts of other creators, their view of the present state of affairs in the sphere of podcasting in the Czech Republic, and their...

Thesis includes theoretical part, which covers several typologies concerning factions and Euroscepticism. Based on the theoretical part were laid out three research criteria. The first criterion examines the external manifestations of Euroscepticism on party manifestos on which are compared statements concerning the European Union. The next chapter criterion examines the internal manifestations of party Euroscepticism and fragmentation. They are analysed based on the behaviour of factions and politicians between 2015 and 2017. The last criterion maps the manifestations of Euroscepticism and fragmentation on the intra party election of a new party leader. Before each analysis comes a description of examined subjects....

Bachelor thesis Body as a canvas - paint on the body in fine arts and art education Markéta Svobodová, duben 2018 ABSTRACT My work begins with the mapping of the transformation of the ideal of beauty and the controversy with this concept. I describe the history of the makeup including the technological and social background of this phenomenon. I also introduce selected works from the history of fine arts, where color is important on the body or on the face. Then I formally transform selected works from art history into forms in which the human body and color will be the main key component. Finally, I reflect this topic into the art, where I focus mainly on portraiture.

Title: Volunteering on sport event - Olympic Park Rio Lipno 2016 Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to research the satisfaction of the volunteers' cooperation with The Czech Olympic Comittee at the sport event. The Olympic Park Rio Lipno 2016 Methods: The research has been carried out using questioning and observation. The quantitative method was implemented through written and electronic quastionnaires. Another method chosen for this survey was participated observation in the original environment, implemented though personal questioning. For accomplishing higher quality survey I chose to participate at this event as volunteer myself. In my role as observation volunteer, sc. an equal member of the team, was to inform the coworkers about my true identity. Results: The results of research showed that the volunteers evaluated the organization of cooperation with The Czech Olympic Commitee as average and with the course of which they were rather satisfied. Through the research I have identified the organizational shortcomings that need to be addressed in the future collaboration with volunteers. I personally evaluated the organization of OPRL 2016 volunteers as highly nonprofessional. In case that COC will not pay attention to quality care of their volunteers and will not ensure...

Kober, Jan ; Švácha, Rostislav (advisor) ; Svobodová, Markéta (referee)
Keywords Representation - Building of Parliament - competitions - public debate - Centre of Prague - Czechoslovakia - Central Europe Resume Jan Kober: Between Place, Representation and Possibilities: Searching of Urban Location and Architecture of the Czechoslovak Parliament Building. Thesis, Charles University in Prague, 242 pages. The thesis researches the nearly forgotten story of the efforts to build the new parliament building. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Parliament of the Kingdom of Bohemia left its age-old seat at the Prague Castle for the newly-rebuild seat in the palace of the Prague Lesser Town. At the beginning of the 20th century, Prague became a quickly developing city, but, unlike the European capitals of that time, with few exceptions lacking the new monumental architecture of various public buildings. This led to the idea of the new larger and incomparably more representative parliamentary design (Antonín Balšánek), influenced by the pattern of Paris. The renewal of the independent state in 1918 as well as the rise of the number of deputies immediately led to the requests for the new building of the Parliament and to the emergence of the new projects of Václav Roštlapil, Max Urban, Antonín Balšánek and Bohuslav Fuchs. The political changes enabled also the old vision of the...

Sexually liminal periods in the lives of women in Ancient Egypt
Svobodová, Markéta ; Vymazalová, Hana (advisor) ; Pehal, Martin (referee)
The thesis seeks to explain the sexual passages of women related to fertility, such as menstruation, pregnancy and birth, in the ancient Egyptian world. The passages related to fertility have strong connotations with death in the Egyptian mythological context. The aim of the thesis is to understand this relationship, often metaphorically conveyed in iconography or in the netherworld literature. The thesis collects material from various sources, archeological, textual, iconographical, not only Egyptian, but also Greek and Roman. The methods used vary from cognitive linguistics and semiotic analysis to religious anthropology. Menstruation, pregnancy and birth in ancient Egypt are explained not only on the level of the understanding of the body of the Egyptians, but also in terms of what role they play in iconography and mythology. Furthermore, the relationship between birth and death is made with regards to fertility. The basic findings of this thesis consist of illustrating a dichotomy between the feminine nurturing principle of and masculine creative principle which appear in different contexts related to birth and death: in iconography, on the level of bodily fluids, or in mythological creation.

Svobodová, Markéta ; Novotná, Eva (advisor) ; Zemanová, Lucie (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Markéta Svobodová Supervisor: RNDr. Eva Novotná, Ph.D Title of diploma thesis: Expression of DHRS8 and DHRS12 enzymes in human tissues Dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR family) member 8 (DHRS8, SDR16C2) and dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR family) member 12 (DHRS12, SDR40C1) are human microsomal enzymes belonging to the superfamily of short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR). This superfamily represents one of the largest protein groups. SDR enzymes participate in the metabolism of various xenobiotic and endogenous compounds and are involved in physiological and pathological processes. However, there are still many enzymes which are only poorly characterised. To this date, the expression on mRNA level and catalytic activity toward 5α- androstane-3α,17β-diol are the only available information about DHRS8. Moreover, there is still no published information (apart from the prediction) regarding DHRS12. The aim of this study was to examine the protein expression of DHRS8 and DHRS12 enzymes in various human tissues. The tissue samples were collected from four middle aged male subjects after the sudden death without apparent disease. Proteins of interest were detected using western blotting and...
Integration of children with Asperger syndrome into primary school - experience through the eyes of mothers
Svobodová, Markéta ; Hubertová, Lucie (advisor) ; Čihánková, Ivana (referee)
Bachelor thesis describes the experience through the eyes of mothers of the children with Asperger's syndrome integrated into regular primary schools. The work is divided into two parts. The first part explains the theoretical back-ground needful to understand the integration process itself, further acquaints us with the participants of the integration process and the factors that positively influence the integration process. The practical part records interviews of mothers on the process and problems of the integration process and deals with the experiences and feelings of mothers in the process of integrating chil-dren into the primary school. Interviews with mothers are applied to a base of the research questions concerning finding and choosing suitable school, process the training of the child and the description of the integration process, in-cluding the presence and the problems that they have encountered in the inte- gration. Data from interviews were processing, sorting and analyzing and they are interpreted in the conclusion that shows real experience in the integration of mothers of children with Asperger's syndrome into regular primary schools.
