Characterization of brick clays for the production of THERM bricks
Svobodová, Markéta ; Stančík,, Hynek (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on the comparison of brick claysthat arecalcium and non-calcium and then it determines which of these brick clays are suitable for production of thin wall thermal insulating fittings called THERM. The main influence has CaO contained in the calcium brick clay in the form of calcite. In the theoretical part you can find an overview of the brick clays in the Czech Republic and abroad then requirements for clays and laboratory testing of bricks. In the practical part of the work were performed tests on samples of brick clays used in the Czech Republic. Mineralogical composition differenceis obviousafter firing the brick clays. This difference is caused by occurrence of anorthite calcium brick clay which then reflects in the usefulproperty of brick shard. Based on these tests I make evaluationof the most suitable type of brick clay for processing the THERM fittings.

Determination of Vuppor admixture for the refractory light weighting bodies
Svobodová, Markéta ; Keršner, Štěpán (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
Lightweight refractory products are materials used for the construction of certain parts of industrial furnaces, especially for iron, but also in other sectors where is operated with high temperatures. There are special requests on refractories. The theoretical part contains an overview of used raw materials, production and properties of lightweight refractory products and description of not burnable lightener - chemical additives VUPPOR I and information about previously conducted trials dealing with these topics. The practical part is divided into four parts, which are evaluated by tests which were performed on a refractory clay with chemical additive Vuppor I (samples are lightened and not lightened) - it was primarily a test of sensitivity to drying, density, compressive strength, thermal insulating properties, etc.
Uplatnění paušální daně u příjmů ze samostatné činnosti
Svobodová, Markéta
Svobodová, M. Application of a flat tax on the income from self-employment. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. The bachelor thesis deals with the application of expenditure as a percentage of income and a flat tax on a self-employment income. The theoretical part is devoted to expenditure as a percentage of income, the flat tax regime, tax relief, social and health insurance. The flat tax was introduced in the Czech Republic in 2021 and has undergone certain changes. The thesis introduces model examples of the application of expenditure as a percentage of income and the use of the flat tax. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the tax and levy burden when using the flat tax and when applying expenditure as a percentage of income. The thesis concludes with a recommendation for a flat tax.
Nuclear Ban Treaty and Stigmatization of NATO's Extended Nuclear Deterrence: Responses from Germany and Czechia
Svobodová, Markéta ; Smetana, Michal (advisor) ; Ludvík, Jan (referee)
Markéta Svobodová: Nuclear Ban Treaty and Stigmatization of NATO's Extended Nuclear Deterrence: Responses from Germany and Czechia (2023) Abstract To change the way nuclear weapons are addressed in international politics, proponents of the Nuclear Ban Treaty have called out not only the nuclear-haves, but also states benefiting from extended nuclear deterrence. If the nuclear disarmament norm is central to what constitutes appropriate behavior in international politics, how do NATO member states react to this deliberate stigma imposition strategy? The presented diploma thesis aims to answer this question by examining the cases of Germany and Czechia, showing the discursive strategies they employ to manage the circulation of the potentially discrediting information in regard to their identity as responsible members of the international community. While success of stigma imposition depends on the degree of stigma power possessed by the stigmatizer in the given context, In Germany, the ties of the current political leadership to pro-disarmament non-governmental sector have contributed to a shift from an approach of stigma rejection to a degree of stigma recognition over the examined time period (2013-2023). In Czechia, the lack of such a connection has among other factors prevented the non-governmental...
Managing and implementing change in the organisation
Svobodová, Markéta ; Mudd, Dana (advisor) ; Vinopal, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on managing and implementing change in an organization and examines key aspects of this issue. The first part of the thesis provides a theoretical framework that defines the key concepts such as change, an organization, or change management. It also defines several types of change and discusses the factors that can influence the success of change initiatives. Furthermore, the work identifies the key determinants of an organizational culture that can influence the acceptance of changes and the adaptability of an organization. Several of the best-known approaches and models that can be used in the implementation of changes also form a part of the theoretical basis. As a part of the research section of the thesis, an analysis of a specific case of an organization recently struggling with the implementation of fundamental changes was carried out, thus enabling the topic to be presented through a practical example. Research methods include the collection of primary data through face-to-face interviews with stakeholders. The aim was to capture the change management process in this organization and identify the benefits and limitations of the change implementation process. The research results provide insights into the success of change management in practice, present the...
Pupil with a different mother tongue and the motivational factors for learning at secondary school
Svobodová, Markéta ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Syřiště, Ivo (referee)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the motivational factors for learning at secondary school in pupils with a different mother tongue. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. It describes the strategy of educating pupils with a different mother tongue in the Czech Republic, the core principles of inclusion and inclusive teaching, motivation, motivational factors and the importance of performance motivation in school environment. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the functions of school counselling centres and school counsellors and the current form of career education in primary schools. The last section of the theoretical part is centred around choosing a secondary school and the factors which most often affect this choice. The practical part of the thesis takes the form of a qualitative research survey consisting of a series of structured interviews carried out amongst school counsellors and 9th grade primary school pupilswith a different mother tongue. The interviews were focused on what types of secondary schools these pupils tend to apply for and which motivational factors influence their choice the most. The goal of the survey was also to find out whether the possibility of continuing their studies at university is...
Study on interactions of selected targeted drugs with ABC drug transporters
Svobodová, Markéta ; Hofman, Jakub (advisor) ; Čečková, Martina (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Markéta Svobodová Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jakub Hofman, Ph.D. Title od diploma thesis: Study on interactions of selected targeted drugs with ABC drug transporters Cancer is one of the most common causes of death and its incidence is constantly increasing. Treatment mainly includes a combination of drug therapy, surgery and radiotherapy. A new approach, with huge potential, is the use of targeted anti-tumor therapy. This approach is based on specific interaction with tumor cells that reduces the negative effects occuring in conventional chemotherapy. Despite intensive research, we still face insufficient response to treatment. The main cause of therapy failure is the emergence of multidrug resistance (MDR) and the formation of metastases. The MDR phenomenon is most often associated with the overexpression of ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters. These are responsible not only for the excessive efflux of anticancer drugs from cells, but also mainly affect their pharmacokinetics. Inhibition of these transporters increases the intracellular concentration of the cytostatic and provide the ability to modulate MDR. Therefore, one of the aims of this work was to investigate the inhibitory activity of...
