Political, social and cultural integration of the immigrants from India in the United States of America

This paper deals with the political, social and cultural integration of the immigrants from India in the United States of America. The last and so far the biggest wave of Asian Indian immigration to the U.S. began after 1965 with the passage of the new Immigration Act. Today, there are more than 2.5 million Asian Indian immigrants living in the U.S. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the chronology of events and history of U.S. immigration laws concerning Asian, and particularly Asian Indian, immigrants. Building on this analysis, the goal is further to show how the immigrants were being discriminated against and how they managed to integrate successfully into the mainstream American society despite many cases of refusal and acts based on prejudice. The Social Integration part analyzes possible problems in the Asian Indian immigrant family living in the U.S., their attitudes towards education, and finally their success at work. The Cultural Integration part includes the topic of multiculturalism, issues of conflict and communication, differences between the American and Indian culture, as well as religion, holidays, and traditions.

Financial Supervision in Federal Republic of Germany

This thesis deals with the organizational structure of financial supervision in Germany with a view to asses the recently completed institutional integration. First, the overview of theoretical models of financial supervisory agencies is submitted including advantages and disadvantages of such concepts. Being aware of the absence of a sole universal applicable solution of the institutional organization of financial supervision, the fundamental requirements are introduced, generally imposed on every financial regulation system in order to perform its tasks effectively. The emphasis of this paper rests upon presenting the German financial supervision in several terms. The main section surveys the evolution of supervision until the formation of BaFin -- Federal Financial Supervision Agency, the ample scope is devoted to legal issues, the inner organization of BaFin is described in detail and the particular attention is paid to funding. The reality of day-to-day supervisory activities is explored in the passage related to problems of financial supervision, where especially the complex question of mutual cooperation between BaFin and Bundesbank In the field of bank supervision comes to light. The supervision-costs analysis focused on the situation prior to integration and mistakenly assumed course after its implementation supplements the general view. Considering all proposed facts the conclusion offers a review of assumptions ensuring a proper supervisory structure.

Comparison of tools for application's integration

In this diploma thesis, I focus on the application integration. Main goal of this thesis is comparison of integration platforms of the biggest vendors on the market, there are products of companies Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and SAP. I compare these products according criteria, which I had chosen. I use mainly own experiences with the products to achieve a goal. These products I compare with respect to general, technological and possibility of using point of view. My work can be as a source for decision, which of the integration platforms is optimal to use. Then I describe one of them - Microsoft Biztalk Server with simple example. The next goal of this work is to summarize the theory of application integration, where I describe the possibilities of integration's application from the simplest till the most complicated. The next goal of this work is making a methodology in Biztalk Server, which will contain concrete solutions and techniques in different situations. This methodology can help developers and analysts to make better proposals, more convenient solutions and beware of needless problems.

Prospects for wide integration in the Americas (FTAA)

Ve své práci jsem se zaměřil na ekonomickou integraci v rámci amerických kontinentů a konkrétně na možnosti a perspektivy celokontinentální integrace v Americe (FTAA). Tento problém opoutal mou pozornost tím, že výsledkem úspěšného dovršení projektu se stane největší a nejsilnější integrační seskupení ve světě. Však samotný projekt vzniku FTAA narazí se na celou řadu překážek a rozporů, čem taky není možné nevěnovat dostatečnou pozornost v době rychlé globalizace světu.

Porovnání serverů pro nepřetržitou integraci

Cílem práce je uvedení pojmu nepřetržité integrace do procesu vývoje software, upozornění na výhody s tímto spojené a představení konkrétních praktických řešení, umožňující zavedení tohoto procesu do organizace, která se rozhodne jej využívat. V této práci jsou porovnány nejznámější integrační servery skrze vlastní definovaná kritéria a je doporučeno organizaci, který server zvolit i s ohledem na velikost vývojářského týmu. Každé kritérium bude pečlivě popsáno a zdůvodněno a výsledky testu serverů budou zhodnoceny v přehledné tabulce. Závěrem jsou doporučeny další zdroje, vhodné ke studiu této problematiky a je poukázáno na nutnou synchronizaci procesu nepřetržité integrace s metodikou vývoje software, používané ve organizaci.

Cílem práce je detailní zmapování etapy analýzy projektu integrace portálu B2E ve firmě Škoda Auto a.s. V práci jsou také srovnány postupy uplatňované při projektu s obecnými metodickými návody. Následně jsou obecné návody přizpůsobeny podmínkám projektu běžícího ve velké společnosti s velkým počtem budoucích uživatelů. Hlavním cílem práce však bylo vytvoření sady klíčových pravidel, která zohledňují specifika velkého projektového okolí.

The Integration of Operations Department Processes at DHL Express (Czech Republic) s.r.o.

Diplomová práce popisuje vznik ?nové? společnosti DHL, kterou zasáhla integrace nadnárodních logistických společností, na poli mezinárodních expresních přeprav. Věnuje se integraci logistických procesů expresní divize společnosti DHL Express (Czech Republic) s.r.o. Dále popisuje postupy používané při realizaci mezinárodní expresní přepravy. Identifikuje složitost a analyzuje dopady provozních integračních procesů na dvou oblastech, z hlediska logistického provozu klíčových, a to na rozmístění terminálové sítě společnosti DHL Express v ČR a na jejích Pick up & Delivery trasách.

Imigrační a integrační politika Francouzské republiky

Práce popisuje historickou zkušenost Francie s přistěhovalectvím. V průběhu jeden a půl století zachycuje proměny jak v charakteru imigrace do této země, tak ve způsobu vnímání přistěhovalců ve společnosti. Mapuje výkyvy v přistěhovalecké politice zapříčiněné vnějšími okolnostmi a tradičně odlišným postojem politické levice a pravice k dané otázce. Dále uvádí, jak způsob vzniku a sebepojetí francouzského národa determinovaly asimilacionistický integrační model, který ovšem, jak se dnes ukazuje, selhává v případě integrace početné muslimské komunity a potomků afrických přistěhovalců.
