The Hippocratic treatise De arte: translation and commentary

Pomyslným středem této diplomové práce je překlad jednoho z textů sbírky starověkých řeckých lékařských pojednání Corpus hippocraticum. Jde o nevelký traktát De arte, který jsem se pokusil zpřístupnit českému čtenáři pod názvem O umění. Všechny ostatní části diplomové práce, tj. literárně-historický úvod, komentář a závěrečné shrnutí, představ~jí v jistém smyslu už jen vysvětlující odpověď na otázku, proč si téměř dva a půl tisíce let starý spis zasluhuje naši pozornost. Mým prvořadým záměrem bylo ukázat dané pojednání jako mimořádný doklad významné role, kterou hrál v řeckých duchovních dějinách na přelomu pátého a čtvrtého století pojem 'tÉXVll. Pokusíme se nastínit podstatný filosofický rozměr, který v této epoše 'tÉXVll připadal a stojí i v pozadí myšlenkové stavby našeho spisu. Protože však techné zároveň překračuje hranice filosofie, pokud ji budeme brát pouze jako jeden z mnoha oborů lidské činnosti, otevře nám naše zkoumání průhled k řeckému pojetí vědění vůbec, ze kterého evropské chápání filosofie \yrůstá. Jako text tematizující vědění samotné lze De arte považovat rovněž za významný dokument pro dějiny vědy. Budeme mít příležitost jasněji spatřit, v čem spočívá ona často zdůrazňovaná "filosofičnost" rané řecké vědy a do jaké míry múžeme v daném období vědu a filosofii vůbec rozlišovat. Přestože...

The Interpretation of 19th-century Song-lyrics

The thesis comprises several chapters which contain various interpretation levels of selected music interpreters. Their performances are discussed in the chapters dedicated to the songs of Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Antonín Dvořák. This work which compares the methods of interpretation in the past and in the present may become a source of inspiration for future singers, music teachers and scholars. The author comes to the conclusion that contemporary song interpretation is more smooth and without excessive emotional burdens. This opinion is exemplified especially in the chapter on the interpretation of Dvořák's Biblical Songs. Moreover, the author debates the issue of song literature education at primary and secondary schools. The relevant chapter also includes a suggestion for a creative approach of the teacher to music education.

A Model for the Teaching of Literature for the Upper Grades of Primary Schools, Emphasizing Creativity

V diplomové práci je predstaven model výuky literatury, jehož cílem je rozvíjet kreativitu žáku a zároven kreativní potenciál žáku využívat jako motivující nástroj ucení. Cílem diplomové práce je usporádat teoretická východiska, na základe nichž je vybudována autorcina koncepce a pojetí literární výchovy na II. stupni základní školy, a jejich užití je doloženo na príkladech vyucovacích hodin. Práce je rozdelena na cást teoretická východiska a praktická cást práce. Teoretická cást se zameruje na problémy, které souvisí s pojmem kreativita, tvurcí osobnost, tvurcí myšlení a ucení. Práce se dále zabývá ctenárstvím pubescentu, interpretací literárního textu, schopností žáku textum rozumet a smysluplné texty i tvorit. V poslední kapitole teoretické cásti jsou formulovány kompetence, jakých by mel žák dosáhnout. Ve druhé cásti práce je praktické využití teoretických východisek ve školní praxi. Je zde predstaven model výuky, ukázky vyucovacích hodin a systém hodnocení žáku i výuky.

The poet Jaime Torres Bodet

S tvorbou mexického spisovatele Jaimeho Torrese Bodeta jsme se poprvé seznámili prostřednictvím jeho esejů. Zaujetí autorovými názory na společenské otázky vystřídal zneklidňující pocit rozprostírající se v nás při četbě jeho básní. Touha objevit, čím je toto znepokojení vyvoláváno, nás dovedla až k vypracování této diplomové práce. Neděláme si však nároky na vyčerpávající studii o autorově poezii. Rádi bychom se pouze podělili se čtenářem o některé naše postřehy. Pojetí této práce bude částečně snahou přiblížit literární ovzduší, ve kterém Torres Bodet vytvářel své básně, a částečně pokusem o vyjádření našich dojmů z četby. Abychom uvedli tvorbu mexického autora do širšího literárního kontextu, je nezbytné se nejdříve seznámit s tzv. skupinou Contemporáneos 1 , do které bývá zahrnován a které věnujeme první kapitolu. Jelikož autoři uskupení začali tvořit svá díla v období, kdy do Mexika přicházela avantgarda, zaměříme náš pohled na odraz nových literárních proudů v jejich poetické tvorbě (se zaměřením na Torrese Bodeta) a zároveň se pokusíme čtenáři přiblížit literární polemiky, které se na tuto problematiku soustřeďují. Druhá kapitola pak stručně pojedná o životě a díle Jaimeho Torrese Bodeta. Zbývající kapitoly budou již věnovány pouze autorově básnické tvorbě, přičemž nejdříve o ní pojednáme obecně...

This graduation thesis tries to summarize the systemic thouf.(ht, its scientist sources, systemic thought development and general and tbeoretical bases. This NL A. thesis is theoretical/y aimed and its objective is to present a synthesis of the systemic approach .. The systemic approach is a new point oť view in psychology, with its roots in 1950's. The systemic thought is inspired by three basic theoretical sources: general system theory, radical constructivism and social constructionism. The theory of systems is an interdiscip/inary theory that studies properties of systems as a whole. The radical constructivism is an approach to the problem of knowledge and knowing. ft starts from the assumption that knowledge is in the heads of persons, and that the thinking subject has no alternative but to construct what they know on the basis of their own experience. The social constructionism aims to discover the ways in which individuals and groups participate in the creation of their perceived reality. ft involves looking at the ways social phenomena are created, institutionalized, and forged into tradition by humans. The board of youth education in Bohemia and Moravia and its influence upon the youth by means of journals

In May 28, 1942 was established in Protectorate Bohmen & Mahren institution called "Curatorium for youth education in Bohemia and Moravia". I was totalitarian organization, based on principles of Hitlerjugend that was supposed to reeducate Czech youth according to Nazi values. This organization was opened for all "race eligible" and orderly teenagers from the Protectorate in age between 14 to 18 years. The sponsor ofthe Curatorium was Emanuel Moravec, but for its management was responsible former leader ofVlajka youth Frantisek Teuner. Mission of the collaborationist organization was growing up loyal supporters ofNazism among Czech youth, who should contribute to the final victory of the Third Reich. Teenagers went through so called "spiritual education" by participating at nazi events and also were influenced via publicly distributed magazines. The organization was publishing following three magazines: "Zteč" - for boys and girls in age of 14-18 years "Dívčí svět" - targeting young girls (10-14) "Správný kluk" - targeting young boys (10-14) Mentioned press was the key input for illustration of supposed final product of curatorial education, what is objective of my thesis. Modern Fable and Apocrypha of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl

This bachelor thesis concerns itself with modern notions of fable and apocrypha genres in the work of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl, namely in Fables and Under-Short-Stories (Bajky a podpovítky), The Book of Apocrypha, Near-Fables and Apocrypha. The work is founded on a comparative study of the genres and authors with the intention to add to the theoretical definition of the modern notion of genre. The work comprises a methodological chapter, setting apart individual elements of narrative, such as motif, topic, narrator and character, and the characteristics of genres, which helps identifying individual elements of the modern genre of fable and apocrypha. In the practical part, methodological points of departure are applied on the texts mentioned, which are compared here. In conclusion, individual elements of the modern genre notion of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl are identified. Here, Viktor Fischl is set into a historical perspectiv, as his work is connected to the discourse of the so-called Czechoslovak ?First Republic? and to the work of Karel Čapek.

A Comparison of Apocalyptic and Rationalistic Tendencies in Mediaeval Judaism

The theme of this work is Jewish messianism and its apocalyptic and rationalistic tendencies in Middle Ages. The thesis is opened by short introduction to phenomenon of messianism and its historical development throughout centuries, with a description of the biblical word Mashiah: how the word, which literally means "anointed", became synonym to words like "savior" or "redeemer". This part of the work reveals the necessary historical background - events that led to two great Jewish rebellions, destruction of ancient Israel and codification of Talmud face to face the growth of Christianity. All these events formed the Jewish messianism in following centuries.

Hellenistic Syncretism with Regard to the Egyptian Cult

The submitted research work concerns with Hellenistic syncretism as a religious phenomenon that widened approach and reception of described deities in a given period, all that with emphasis on Egyptian cult. These deities are compared with other gods originating in Greek region or domesticated therein. Particular attention is paid to goddess Isis, which had considerable influence on religious, and herewith as well a cultural world of Hellenism. An outstanding chapter applies to mysteries, especially those connected with Isis.

Lease agreement in Czech, Slovak and Austrian Law

The aim of this thesis is to provide complex information on the characteristics of leasing, its cathegorisation and accounting issues including the comparison of leasing relationships outside of the Czech Republic, namely in Austria and in Slovakia. The work is divided into nine chapters, first three of them deal with general concept of leasing -- its history, various types and particularly with the legal framework of leasing in the applicable Czech legislation. The subsequent chapters focus on the lease agreement itself from the moment it comes to existence including the principal requirements of the agreement through changes that may occur during the existence of the agreement to its termination. The eighth chapter is intended to acquaint the reader with accounting of the lease transaction under the international financial reporting standards IFRS and to compare these accounting transactions with processes contained in the Czech accounting legislation. The last part of the work is based mainly on materials provided by IKB Leasing ČR s.r.o. and focuses on differences in the regulation of leasing relationship in Slovakia and Austria.
