Influence of liberty in upbringing on self-efficacy at preschool children

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the influence of liberty in upbringing on self-efficacy and resilience at preschool children. The theoretical part introduces the general grounds of the theme - resilience. Basic terms are also defined. The following chapter (chapter one) presents selected theoretical concepts of resilience, actual researches and related characteristics of personality. The second chapter exposes the concept of self-efficacy created by Albert Bandura. In this construct some of the elements presented in the previous chapter are associated. It is also well applicable to upbringing practices. The concept of self-efficacy has been chosen to serve as a theoretical framework of this paper. Third chapter deals with selected topics of upbringing such as demands, styles, trends and liberty in upbringing. It is focused on how various upbringing actions can raise the self-efficacy and resilience. The empirical part maps over the background in kindergartens by means of both quantitative and qualitative research. The aim is to define which opportunities of increasing self-efficacy are provided in kindergartens, in comparison to the family milieu. We are interested in degree of liberty given in kindergartens and in families.

Social Enterpreneurship. The Analysis of the Product at Founding of Social Firm.

Social economy is modern alternative of community development. Respective subjects are dwelling especially on the sphere of the social services, support of employment, education or health service. The social economy is also supported by EU in this aspect. Though legislative alterations of each EU countries are in the different stage of development, subjects of the social economy are established even without these rules. The research of the respective social companies in the Czech republic showed that a social company which determined properly its product could exist and develop without legislative alterations, forms of its existence are very variable. It is also being showed on other analyses of the countries with different rules - Italy, Finland that appropriate legislative alteration makes easer considerably the creation, existence and monitoring of an own contribution of subjects of the social economy. Although the social economy is dwelling on the development of the disabled person potential it does not exist the uniform approach for providing of supports on the part of a state.

Application strategy of metacognition in professional music education

Studying branches of music at conservatoire as an art school is demanding talent, personal attributes, but also the intellectual level. This work represents metacognition as a method to developmental potential and so enables the valuable cognition in various areas, including the professional preparation of future musicians and music teachers. The education at conservatoire is specific in many aspects, accordingly there is briefly mentioned the issue of educational presumptions (musical abilities and their development, components of musical talent and importance of teaching style). Main attention is paid to development of thinking skills and to another cognitive activities with the aim to adopt particular metacognitive processes. Programme of Instrumental Enrichment by R. Feuerstein is presented as a stimulation programme intended for systematic development of cognitive functions. Author interprets deficits in the area of learning and offers "tools" to overcome them. The target of intervention is to remove causes of school failure by eliminating undesirable learning dispositions.

Employment of people with disabilities

The thesis is aimed not only to clarify the concept of disabled in the international and Czech law, but mainly on the analysis of the rights granted to such persons. It deals in detail with international legislation in the employment of people with disabilities, different ways of their protection and their application. The development of the Czechoslovak legislation, social policy and the rights of disabled people is described in the second part, as well as a review of existing legislation and possible suggestions for improvement. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the unemployment of people with disabilities in the district Most.

Transit from cafeteria to employment: Career choice in people with mental handicap

As their café training programme comes to a close, the mentally disabled persons involved face an important decision: "What next?" They usually enter a follow-up transit programme, which helps them to deal with the transformation from the café environment to a different one. The objective of this dissertation was to map, understand and gain a deeper view into the process o f career choices among mentally disabled people who have made use o f the transit programme. The research group consisted of a group o f five subjects who entered the transit programme in 2003 and 2004. Data was collected until the end of 2005 when the transit programme was completed by the last of the five subjects. The data processing proceduře was inspired by the qualitative grounded theory of Strausse and Corbin (1999). The data were obtained particularly through active observation and ethnographic interviews with the subjects, and an employee of the transit programme (working consultant). The process of a career choice is considered to be an issue of professional identity. All subjects entered the transit programme with a certain idea about their future careers. Motherhood for Hearing-Impaired Women - Pregnancy, Birth and Care for the Child

My diploma work is dedicated to the dilemma of matherhood of women with hearing disability. The aim of this diploma work was to name the probléme od the mathers with hearing disability (I am, in substantiate cases, working with the term parenthood, so that the role of the fater is not forgotten). My diploma work also endeavours for mapping of projects, which are offered to mothers with hearing disabilities. First few chapter inquire into generál problematic of persons with hearing problems, and the following chapter are dedicated the centrál theme of the diploma wortk - motherhood of women with hearing disability - thus particular problems of mothers with hearing disability and projects, which are dedicated to those problems. The last part contains selected case studies of mothers with hearing disability and also interviews with the sign language interpreter and with a deaf parents'daughter. In the insertion, there are staten contacts of organisations, which are devoted to the problém I mention in my work.

Family in socio-educational context

The diploma paper targets an influence of social events to evolution of a person within the frame of a family and possibilities of education against negative impacts of social events. The aim of this paper is to map current situation in the problematic of social events and possibilities of social help; theoretically and practically verify the extend of its influence upon education in Czech families and institutions of foster families; and show possibly solutions by the means of correct educational instrumentality. Possibilities and limits of education in a traditional family and foster families in SOS villages were defined by using analyses of main social events and their significance for functionality of a family, comparison of a current family and foster families. There is a conformity and difference in actual problems, educational approaches, value structure. Causal relationship of influence of social events to quality of educational instrumentality upon an individual was confirmed. Burnout Syndrome of Leisure Time Activities Specialist.

This thesis is dealing with burnout syndrome among leisure time specialists. Theoretical part describes burnout syndrome, its historical basis, symptoms and causes, protective factors and preventive techniques, which prevent from burnout syndrome risk. Next part deals with common stress, its causes and symptoms, and psychosocial stress, which is closely related with burnout syndrome. Ending of the theoretical part is focused on understanding the differences between jobs of common teacher and leisure time specialist, their competences, demands and factors causing burnout syndrome. The goal of the practical part is to find out, whether leisure time specialists are equally threatened by burnout syndrome as common teachers, and whether their burnout relates with their experience, sex or type a personal behavior.

Eugenic efforts presentations in special education theory and practice on internal level.

The thesis The Reflection of Eugenic attempts in Local Special Pedagogical Theory and Practice deals with the impact of Czech eugenic movement on forming of special schooling, institutional care and generally conditioning attitudes towards disabled people at the turn of the I9lh and 20th centuries-and in the first half of 20th century in Czechoslovakia. The target of the work is to explain the interrelation of the eugenic research of pathological genetically conditioned defects and the development of special care of a disabled person. The introductory part of the text is concentrated on the definition of the scientific field which is the eugenics and the classical eugenism. The research is inspired by the eugenics of Francis Galton (1822-191 I) the English scientist who qualified the eugenics as a relevant scientific discipline which studies social factors which either make better or make worse gender characteristics of next generations of a human being. Eugenics came out of the synthesis of three ways of recognizing: a presumed idea about biological degeneration of people and social and cultural failure of a human society, Darwin's theory of natural selection as a universal mechanism of evolution and revealing of essential rules of heredity and development of modern Mendel's genetics after the year 1900....
