Preparation and characterization of selected optical materials
Hulicius, Eduard
Crystal structure and technology procedure was optimized to obtained better parameters of PL and RL as well as homogeneity of structure. Structural and optical parameters were measured and evaluated; their influence on crystal characteristics was discussed. New improved material was proposed. P.W = Peak wavelength; P.I = Peak intensity; FWHM = Full With in Half Maximum; D.W = dominant wavelength; I.W = integral w.; I.I = integrated intensity; R.F = reflectivity; T.H = thickness were measured.
Optically and electronically active diamond-silicon photonic structures: state and outlooks
Ondič, Lukáš ; Dohnalová, Kateřina ; Kůsová, Kateřina ; Cibulka, Ondřej ; Ledinský, Martin ; Babchenko, Oleg ; Kromka, Alexander ; Rezek, Bohuslav ; Pelant, Ivan
We have prepared the photonic crystal at the top of the nanocrystalline diamond layer. We have obtained the effective extraction of diamond intrinsic photoluminescence via leaky modes. We have shown the simulation of optical gain enhancement in the photonic crystal.
Photoluminescence study of light-induced modifications of (electro)chemically prepared polypyrrole
Galář, P. ; Malý, P. ; Čermák, Jan ; Rezek, Bohuslav ; Kromka, Alexander
Permanent modification of polypyrrole (Ppy) after UV light irradiation were studied by photoluminiscence (PL), optical absorption and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Ppy samples were prepared by electrochemical anodic oxidation and chemical oxidation. Influence of light exposure on polymer properties was studied under ambient condition, low pressure and after polymer annealing from 300K to 520K.
Influence of Sc.sup.3+./sup. doping on Pr.sup.3+./sup. emission in epitaxial scintillation garnet layers
Hanuš, M. ; Kučera, M. ; Nikl, Martin ; Nitsch, Karel ; Průša, Petr ; Mareš, Jiří A. ; Onderišinová, Z.
Yttrium (Y3Al5O12) and lutetium (Lu3Al5O12) aluminium garnets doped by rare earths such as Ce, Eu, Pr, are considered as very good scintillation materials. The garnets have chemical, mechanical, and radiation stability superior to most of scintillation materials and light yield is high, thus they are often used as scintillation screens.
Conjugated Silicon – Based Polymer Resists for Nanotechnologies: EB and UV Mediated Degradation Processes in Polysilanes
Schauer, F. ; Schauer, Petr ; Kuřitka, I. ; Hua, B.
The main purpose of this paper is to compare the photoluminescence (PL) and cathodoluminescence (CL) after major degradation, predominantly in long wavelength range 400 - 600 nm, studying the disorder due to dangling bonds, conformational transformations and weak bonds created by the degradation process.
Fotoluminiscence erbiem dopovaných krystalů KTaO.sub.3./sub..
Potůček, Zdeněk ; Bryknar, Z. ; Trepakov, Vladimír
Photoluminescence emission spectra of KTaO3:Er crystals was studied within the wide temperature (12 – 300 K) and spectral (300 – 1200 nm) regions in order to reveal luminescence centers related to Er ions and to elucidate their optical properties. Under excitation with band-gap light at low temperatures, the KTaO3:Er crystals shoved a broad asymmetric emission band peaking near 490 nm at 12 K that belongs to well-known “green” photoluminescence of KTaO3 crystals. Erbium doping was accompanied by appearance of narrow structured emission bands in the vicinity of 550, 660, and 850 nm that were attributed to radiative transitions within Er3+ ions with 4f11 electron configuration.
MOVPE InAs/GaAs quantum dots with long-wavelength emission
Oswald, Jiří ; Kuldová, Karla ; Hospodková, Alice ; Hulicius, Eduard ; Pangrác, Jiří ; Mates, Tomáš ; Melichar, Karel ; Vyskočil, Jan
One method which enables the shift of photoluminescence spectra of InAs/GaAs quantum dots toward longer wavelengths is the covering of the dots by In.sub.x./sub.Ga.sub.1-x./sub.As strain reducing layer. With the increasing x we have observed the shift of PL maxima from 1.28 μm to 1.46 μm.
Zlepšení fotoluminescenčních vlastností pomocí autoorganizace blokových kopolymerů
Pavlačková, Petra ; Křenek, R. ; Cimrová, Věra ; Výprachtický, Drahomír ; Stamm, M.
We report on enhancement of photoluminescence of conjugated homopolymers based on poly(p-phenylene) in blends with poly(styrene-block-4-vinylpyridine) copolymer (BC). Using self-organization of BC we may avoid aggregation of the homopolymers. We have got nanostructured films of the blends depending on type of the homopolymer. Enhancement of photoluminescence is also observed.
