Psychological context of the Covid-19 pandemic: the view of younger adults

The Bachelor's thesis aspires to reveal the outlook of young adults on COVID pandemic and how they deal with the unprecedented life style changes it has caused. Theoretical part will describe the characteristics of young adults and their life style. Furthermore the effect of stress and difficult situations on young adults will be revealed as well as their coping mechanisms. Empirical part will present the information gathered through qualitative research. Data collected via Jupsycor screening will expose each participant's experience with pandemic and it's toll on their life.
Parents´ divorce in young adult's eyes

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the phenomena of the parents´ divorce in young adult´s eyes. The paper is divided into two sections, theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts such as family, parents´ divorce, post-divorce arrangement and characteristics of young adults. This theoretical part shows the dynamics of divorce with its phenomena and then describes young adulthood with its typical signs. In the empirical section is described and analyzed reflection on parents´ divorce by young adult respondents. They provided their experiences with parents´ divorce, its dynamics, view of it and perceived consequenses to their current life. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews which have been analysed by using an open coding. The questioned group consists of six young adult respondents who had experience with parents´ divorce and were able to discuss it based on their memories and personal experience. The results were described as individual case reports telling the story of parents´ divorce. The stories were presented in categories and subcategories revealing main topics from interviews. From the collected data is possible to conclude that young adults frequently perceived the changes which parents´ divorce brings into their family life. Respondents consider parents´ divorce as psychologically demanding situation for a child who is suddenly in a new and fundamentally changing family background. The respondents also recognice a divorce as an experience they would want to avoid in their personal relationships.
Physical activity and quality of life in young adults

Title: Relationship between physical activity and quality of life in young adults Aims of work: This thesis aims to determine the connection between physical activity and quality of life in young adults (20-35 years old), and to find out their lifestyle, health, and quality of life. Method: Methodologically, this work is based on a quantitative questionnaire study. The data were obtained through an online questionnaire, which was posted on Facebook. The questionnaire included two measures of physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire a Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire) and a measure of the quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF).The data from the questionnaire were evaluated by SPSS software (Statistical Package for Social Science). The relationship between physical activity and quality of life was determined using correlation and regression analysis. The survey involved 379 young adults in the age category of 20 to 35 years. Results: The results of the correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between leisure time physical activity and three dimensions of the quality of life - mental and physical health and the quality of the environment. Intimate relationships of people with schizophrenia

The thesis is dedicated to intimate relationships of people with schizophrenic disorder (F20). The aim of this study was to determine the importance of intimate relationships attributed by women and men with schizophrenia in young adulthood. Their experience, ideals and expectations of partnership were also investigated. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes the illness of schizophrenia, its characteristics, etiology, epidemiology, symptoms, deficits in cognitive and social functioning as well as current treatments oriented at psychosocial intervention. In the second chapter, the topic of partnerships of common people is presented. The third chapter describes the theme of partnerships in persons with schizophrenic disorder itself. The empirical part is based on qualitative methodology. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 11 respondents, investigating intimate relationships and sexuality of people with schizophrenia. The results are properly described and afterwards discussed with the available literature. In the conclusion, it is recommended further research and intervention in social relationships among people with schizophrenia.
Expectations of young men and women in partner relationships with an emphasis on meeting the emotional needs

The aim of this thesis is to provide the generationally authentic view of the issue of young men's and women's relationships with the focus on mapping their expectations and emotional needs satisfaction. The theoretical part describes the period of young adulthood that is specific exactly to a relationship build-up. The next part of the paper focuses on the phenomenon of love, problems of a partner choice and men's and women's specific expectations and emotional needs. The last chapter covers sexuality that is a natural part of relationships. The thematic areas are always accompanied by a pedagogical point of view because education has the significant impact in a partnerships formation. The practical part contains the survey of 60 respondents. The subject was young men's and women's expectations in a relationship. The main goal was to determine which expectations young men and women start a relationship with. The key result is the fact that men and women have different expectations in a relationship but they agree about the expectation of mutual love and understanding.

TITLE: Coping with sudden motility limitation and its implication - coping strategies among young people with spinal cord injury and with multiple sclerosis SUMMARY: This thesis is focused on process of adjustment of motility limitation, caused by spinal cord injury or by attack of multiple sclerosis, among young people. The motoric ability limitation affects their mobility as well as their social interaction, interests, plans and especially their independence. Thus, in age of gaining emancipation from nuclear family, they become dependant on their home-folks again. The theoretical part of the thesis acquaints with spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis from biological and psychosocial point of view, thereinafter it's engaged in coping generally and coping in relation to these two groups. Furthermore it's dealt with developmental periods characterization of adolescence and young adulthood, consequences of health turnover in self-concept in social context. The rigorous thesis deals with an experience of well-being, self-esteem, hardiness and a social support of adolescents and young adults with an idiopathic scoliosis. The text is split into a theoretical and a practial part systematicaly. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with definition of terms: scoliosis, well-being, self-esteem, hardiness and a social support. We report also an overview of czech and foreign researches related to a perception of quality of life by specific groups of individuals suffered by a chronic diseases, adolescents and young adults. The empirical part of the thesis has four main parts. It brings data collected from a survey, deals with data analyzes and their interpretation. A reasearch sample of 77 people diagnosed as an adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is compared according to the degree of disability, undergoing spinal surgery, according to the age and compared to the healty population. Study conditions of persons with visual impairment at universities

89 Abstract This examined diploma thesis focuses on the sphere of tertiary education and its aim was especially to examine the study conditions of university students with visual impairment. The basis was to study professional literature and other sources to build a theoretical framework. It was essential to create an image of the student with visual impairment that the visual handicap and thereunder constraints were covered and it was also necessary to describe the young adulthood specifics. An important step was to characterize the environment wherein these student move. To do this I used legislative documents and provisions and tried to delineate any difficulties and implemented solutions. I also introduced research which previously examined this field and provided relevant information, too. This was the foundation for the practical part of this paper. It contained the survey wherein I addressed a few visually impaired students who conveyed their findings regarding their study conditions. I carried out semi-structural interviews with them and analyzed the obtained data with the help of the open coding method. The importance of marriage from the perspective of the current young generation

This diploma thesis deals with the importance of marriage from the perspective of the current young generation. The work focuses on aspects that affect the view of the institute of marriage. We also deal with the period of young adulthood, where we also deal with mental and physical development, which is related to this period. In our work, we also focus on unmarried cohabitation, which is a popular form of cohabitation today. It is clear from the research survey that the current young generation is still interested in the conclusion of the institute of marriage and the main reason that should lead to the conclusion of marriage for most respondents is love for a partner.
Motivation of young people to enter into marriage

In the last thirty years, significant changes in demographic behaviour took place in the Czech Republic. This thesis focuses on the current form of family behaviour, namely marriage, for young people who have married at a relatively younger age than is currently common. The nature of the marital relationship is viewed and critically reflected through the lens of individualization in the work of A. Giddens and U. Beck. In addition to marriage itself, the work deals with its position among other transitions of young adulthood, and thus the shape of the life course of young people. The research of this work was performed by a qualitative method and technique of semi-structured interviews. It is concluded that marriage has primarily a symbolic meaning, but its practical consequences are also important. The main meaning of marriage is the formal confirmation of the partners' commitment to each other. The marital commitment serves as a means of communication between the spouses themselves, as well as between them and their social environment. The specific age situation given by the relatively lower age of marriage is mainly reflected in the feeling of the existence of certain age and adulthood norms, which, however, are no longer binding, and if they do not match the value orientation or economic...
