Approach to a new state - Israel 1945-1948
Kankrlík, Tomáš ; Tumis, Stanislav (advisor) ; Kovář, Martin (referee)
This work deals with the one of the longest running conflict in a modern history - Arab--Israeli conflict. The origins of Jewish pursuit to establish new independent state in the Middle East date back to the second half of the nineteenth century, namely to the times dominated by European's anti-Semitism. Nevertheless, this area in the Middle East called Palestine does not only represent Jewish ideal place to live but has the same importance for Arabs. Since the end of the World War II Jewish refugees have been heading the Middle East area in thousands facing various inevitable effects of Arabian nationalism. We must not forget notable roles of the Great Britain; lately the United States and the United Nations that performed mandate administration of Palestine. I focus on affairs between 1945 and 1948 that led to establishment of a new Jewish state. I will analyze this whole process and its problems. My project will be based on published source-books and the latest technical bibliography.

Svobodová, Blanka ; Vacek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kostič, Svetislav (advisor)
Hindi is the official language of India and a predominant language in the so-called Hindi belt, i.e. the states and territories of Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. Outside these areas, Hindi is widely spoken in cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad or Kolkatta as well. Furthermore, according to the 1998 survey it is the second most spoken language in the world, with 333 million native speakers, i.e. 40 % of the Indian population. 1 Besides, Hindi is used by another 300 million lndians as their second language and by another 8 million speakers outside of India. Thus this number includes both the countries where Hindi is the common second language, such as Mauritius, Fiji, Trinidad, Guyana or Surinam and the countries, where Hindi is the first language of large Indian communities settled all over the world, such as South Africa, Yemen, Uganda, Northern America, Great Britain, Australia, Germany etc. Concerning the linguistic point of view, Hindi belongs to a vast family of lndo-European languages, particularly to its lndo-Aryan branch. lt is a descendent of Sanskrit, the earliest speech of the Aryan conquerors who settled in the north-west frontiers of India around 2000 BC. The history of Sanskrit dates more than three...

Health and social issues in children with very low birthweight during the period from hospital discharge to two years of age
RYBÁKOVÁ, Štěpánka
The number of new born babies with very low birth weight (VLBW) is increasing. The percentage of those who survive is rising due to developments in modern technologies and science. While dealing with the problem of premature birth the medical, social, psychological and economical aspects needs to be considered. Therefore, the attention is primarily not only on to the question of saving the life but also to ensure the upmost quality of life and health. The care of the child provides a multidisciplinary team, where each role within the team is irreplaceable and their co-operation is necessary to ensure physical and psychological wellbeing of the child. An important role within the team has the surgery of the paediatric practitioner inclusive of the paediatric nurse and a quality follow-up care after the home discharge of the VLBW child. The following objectives were defined in the diploma thesis. To identify how nurses contribute to the care of the VLBW children in the paediatric practitioners surgery. To identify whether nurse given health education is sufficient to families of these children. To find out what are the most common health complications in VLWB children in the paediatric practitioner?s surgery. To find out how VLBW children influence the family psycho-social and economic status. To meet the theses objectives three research question were determined. Which of the nurse?s roles participates most in the care of the VLBW children in the paediatric practitioner?s surgery? Do parents apprehend the field nurse education activity as conductive to solutions to the VLBW issues? Threatens the birth of a VLBW child the family psycho-social and economic stability? The theoretical part of the theses laid out current knowledge in the care of the prematurely born in paediatrics institutions. It stressed out the importance of the elementary presumptions of a successful development such as nutrition, adjusted immunization schedule and differences in multidisciplinary care. Furthermore it explained the nurses? role and outlined the elementary problems premature birth can cause in a family. The practical part focused on qualitative research. The data were gathered via in-depth structural interviews with mothers of VLBW children who reached at the time of the interview 2 years of age and with nurses. The interviews were supplemented with observation. The research results suggest that like mothers like nurses understand the need for a specialized care of the prematurely born children. However, it further suggests differences in their understanding of the nurses? importance and nurses role in this care. The research identified areas which needs improvement in order to provide better care and to improve the mother-nurse relationship in the paediatric practitioner?s surgery. Furthermore, it demonstrated the need for further nurses? education and need for evidence based practice. Moreover, it emphasised the importance of the VLWB children multidisciplinary follow-up care and proved the hypothesis that the birth of a child with VLWB is a great interference with family life, especially in psycho-social domain.

Business rule learning using data mining of GUHA association rules
Vojíř, Stanislav ; Strossa, Petr (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee) ; Kouba, Zdeněk (referee) ; Gregor, Jiří (referee)
In the currently highly competitive environment, the information systems of the businesses should not only effectively support the existing business processes, but also have to be dynamically adaptable to the changes in the environment. There are increasing efforts at separation of the application and the business logic in the information system. One of the appropriate instruments for this separation is the business rule approach. Business rules are simple, understandable rules. They can be used for the knowledge externalization and sharing also as for the active control and decisions within the business processes. Although the business rule approach is used for almost 20 years, the various specifications and practical applications of business rules are still a goal of the active research. The disadvantage of the business rule approach is great demands on obtaining of the rules. There has to be a domain expert, who is able to manually write them. One of the problems addressed by the current research is the possibility of (semi)automatic acquisition of business rules from the different resources - unstructured documents, historical data etc. This dissertation thesis addresses the problem of acquisition (learning) of business rules from the historical data of the company. The main objective of this thesis is to design and validate a method for (semi)automatic learning of business rules using the data mining of association rules. Association rule are a known data mining method for discovering of interesting relations hidden in the data. Association rules are comprehensible and explainable. The comprehensibility of association rules is suitable for the use of them for learning of business rules. For this purpose the user can use not only simple rules discovered using the algorithm Apriori or FP-Growth, but also more complex association rules discovered using the GUHA method. Within this thesis is used the procedure 4ft-Miner implemented in the data mining system LISp Miner. The first part of this thesis contains the description of the relevant topics from the research of business rules and association rules. Business rules is not a name of one specification of standard but rather a label of the approach to modelling of business logic. As part of the work there is defined a process of selection of the most appropriate specification of business rules for the selected practical use. Consequently, the author proposed three models of involving of data mining of association rules into business rule sets. These models contain also the definition of a model for the transformation of GUHA association rules in the business rules for the system JBoss Drools. For the possibility of learning of business rules using the data mining results from more than one data set, the author proposed a knowledge base. The knowledge base is suitable for the interconnection of business rules and data mining of association rules. From the perspective of business rules the knowledge base is a term dictionary. From the perspective of data mining the knowledge base contains some background knowledge for data preprocessing and preparation of classification models. The proposed models have been validated using practical implementations in the systems EasyMiner (in conjunction with JBoss Drools) and Erian. The thesis contains also a description of two model use cases based on real data from the field of marketing and the field of health insurance.

Cultural differences in educatin Czech and English families
Zmeková, Olga ; Slaboch, Martin (advisor) ; Tereza, Tereza (referee)
The master thesis introduces the educational systems in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, with focus on England. When assigning the master thesis topic, the author did not realize how extensive and complex the topic was. Therefore, while studying documents, reserching information, and finding respondents, the topic of the thesis narrowed to focus only on the educational systems of both countries and their comparison from the teachers´point of view. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is built on information gained from studying documents. The author will present both systems, their history, basic features, and the individual stages of education. Concerning this topic, a relatively sufficient amount of literary and online resources exists. The practical part of the thesis introduces the results of a qualitative research. As a part of this thesis, ten interviews with teachers who have experience with both the Czech and English educational systems took place. Due to the broadness of the topic, the author has chosen the above mentioned qualitative research, specifically a semi-structured interview, which allows the topic to be researched thoroughly. The teachers had an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience, which they gained throughout their careers. The interviews enabled the author to gain new information which were not found in literature. The personal experiences brought a certain amount of authenticity to the thesis. The conclusion of the thesis consists of a summary of the information the author has managed to gather.
