Výpočetní aspekty návrhu regulátoru a vyčíslení kvality
Novák, Miroslav
This work contributes to the activity in the Department of Adaptive Systems in Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic to develop a complete design algorithm for advanced controllers such as the LQG one and put them through to real applications. The task of controller tuning is to transform the user specified requirements into the values of the tuning parameters. The system knowledge is incomplete. The Bayesian estimation delivers the parameters not as known numbers but as their probability density function. The important contribution of this work is extending the tuning to the multiple input multiple output (MIMO) controllers, where multiple constraints on particular quantities are considered simultaneously.

Power aspects of social media in postmodern times
Šišláková, Hana ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Kotík, Michal (referee)
The contemporary society, in which social media are becoming increasingly important, is characterized by several essential attributes directly related to the presence of social media. First is the dynamics of networks allowing connection and disconnection of nodes without disturbing other components of the system (as in the case of hierarchy). In a network of these links information are easily and quickly spread, because importance of information in contemporary society is growing significantly and thereby multiplicity of "versions of truth" is changing the homogeneity into heterogeneity and issues are becoming fragmented. This is the starting point for studying the nature of power in social media. In the case of mass media, power was executed from a single point and the producers were clearly distinguished from the consumers of information. In social media, this distinction is blurred and producers are also becoming consumers of information. Aspects of the power of social media are taking fundamentally different nature.

Legal and ethical aspects of the protection of the beginning and end of human life and its dignity
Blažek, Petr ; Gerloch, Aleš (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee) ; Doležal, Tomáš (referee)
The subject of the following dissertation, as the title states, is to explore legal and ethical aspects of the protection of human life and its dignity. Its aim is not merely to attempt to map the present legal situation regarding the protection of human life in the legal system of the Czech Republic, but also to outline some philosophical and anthropological implications which could have considerable influence on the practical consequences of some legal measures, including general aspects of the protection of human life and the legal regulation of two areas of study chosen by the author, namely assisted reproduction and euthanasia. In this sense the following work does not simply describe the various philosophical- anthropological conceptions in a neutral way, but offers to the reader a possible model which, in the view of the author, best corresponds to the degree of protection that human life and dignity can claim in early and terminal phases, taking a neoscholastic and personalistic view of man and his ontological status, in order to try to deduce from this model ethical implications both in a general sense and in relation to the two above-mentioned areas of application. The aim of the work is thus not only to describe the degree of protection of human life de lege lata, but also by making comparisons...

Trusted proxy in SSL/TLS connection
Smolík, Jiří ; Forst, Libor (advisor) ; Lukeš, Dan (referee)
The problem of SSL/TLS interception ("trusted proxy in SSL/TLS connection") has been known for years and many implementations exist. However, all of them share a single technical solution which is based solely on the PKI authentication mechanism and suffers from multiple serious disadvantages. Most importantly, it is not compatible with several aspects or future trends of SSL/TLS and PKI, there's almost no space for improvement and its real use may spawn legal issues. After we analyze technical background and the current solution, we will propose another one, based not only on PKI but SSL/TLS too. Both solutions will be compared and general superiority of the new one will be shown. Basic implementation and analysis will follow, along with deployment requirements and ideas for future development. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Gender Aspects of Rehabilitation Care of People with Disabilities in Rehabilitation Centre Kladruby
Svatková, Petra ; Kolářová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Kiczková, Zuzana (referee)
In diploma thesis I have focused on gender aspects of rehabilitation care of men and women with a physical "handicap" that was not inborn. Theoretical sources of the thesis were mainly concepts of the Feminist Disability Studies, whose point of view helped me to specify the terms "disablement" and "handicap" and to embed them into broader meaning of medicinal, social and cultural models, which I have subjected to critical reading. I was especially interested in intersectionality of gender and "disablement" and I introduced its possible implications. In the chapter called "Methodology" I determined my research position and ethical aspects linked to the topic of handicap; methodological procedures used in the thesis were also introduced in this chapter. After introducing Rehabilitation Center Kladruby and its function I went on describing the form and course of the rehabilitation care as well as concrete rehabilitation methods. The basis of the empirical part of the thesis were interviews with disabled men and women who repeatedly underwent physiotherapy in the Rehabilitation Center Kladruby. The analyses of the interviews were focused on gender aspects of perceiving the center as an institution, as well as on the way the role of gender projects to the rehabilitation care and the overall life with handicap.

The scientific researches and statistics applying to children in need in Czech republic point at large number of children in institutional care. I tried to outline contemporary situation of institutional care in Czech republic, description of essential problems, legal frame and essential psychological implications of institutional care. The project part of this diploma work is about surveying conditions and approaches to realization of such activities that support particular group in society, children in need that grow up without family, in institutional care. The main subject of this work are projects supporting children in children's home. We were observing their process and direction and this monitoring was the basis for analysis in light of fulfillment of basic psychological needs. The main goal is to show which projects fulfill psychological needs and which do not. The question was which activities and conceptions of these projects are the most suitable and supporting...

Srnka, Jan ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Řežábek, Pavel (referee)
The Master Thesis is focused on potential consequences of toll implication for vehicles under 3,5 tonnes. The main goal of this paper is to evaluate these consequences and propose a recommendation to the government whether to imply the toll or not. Quantitative research methods in a form of questionnaire were used in order to estimate the potential consequences of 0,4 CZK per km toll for vehicles under 3,5 tonnes. Moreover, was analysed the publicly accessible data of transportation, car accidents and deaths on roads in case of the Czech Republic. Theoretical part is focused on the currently used system on highways, the history of highways, system used in European countries and aspects of cost-benefit analysis. Three frequently used highways were examined in the practical part of this paper. A numerous of calculations were used in order to quantify all possible costs of toll implication. Toll implication costs and additional costs that arise due to avoiding expensive highways by some drivers represented the main aim of these calculations. Conclusion of this paper sums up key points of this paper and points out possible negative consequences of toll implication.
