Object Shape Reconstruction Based On The Max(T,0)-Pulse Response
Doležal, Tomáš
This article presents an object shape reconstruction method based on the ramp pulse response. It is demonstrated that only such three backscattered responses obtained through simulations are sufficient to achieve realistic target images. The proposed imaging algorithm is validated on the shape estimation of an EM impenetrable 3-D object.
Hydrological function of peat bogs and peat water properties of the Vydra River headwaters
Doležal, Tomáš
The retention potential of landscapes, along with the water regime of spring areas, are important hydrological topics of research, particularly in the current context of increasing extreme drought frequencies. The present work is focused on monitoring the mountain peat bogs, which, due to their overall frequency of occurrence in the spring area of the Vydra river, represent a significant constituent of the rainfall-runoff process of the area of interest. The specific hydropedological features of the organogenous soils (Histosol type soil) provide the high retention potential of the area, however, the influence of these soils on the runoff process is determined by complex physicogeographical factors. The general opinion on the hydrological function of the peat bogs has changed in recent years and the most important factor in the runoff formation in the mountain area of the Šumava Mts. is now thought to be the actual saturation of the headwater, which is predominantly composed of hydromorphic and organogenous soils. The organogenous soils are significant water reservoirs and have an important impact on the landscape. However, they may also intensify the extreme values of the watercourses during extreme precipitation events. The fundamental part of this work focuses on detailed observations of the...
Czech-Liechtenstein relations and their development after 2000
Doležal, Tomáš ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Handl, Vladimír (referee)
The master thesis concentrates on studying the relations between the Czech Republic and Liechtenstein from 2000 until 2015. The Czech Republic and the monarchy share a long common history, reaching all the way to the Middle Ages. The Liechtensteins constituted autonomous political power in the Czech lands for centuries and this power played a significant role not only on the regional but also on the continental level. Historical development in Czech territory in 20th century interrupted this continuous symbiosis, the Liechtensteins lost all their Czech property in a short period of time and decided to leave Czech land permanently. Due to the confiscation of property by the Czech state, long-lasting litigations between the two states were created. Even the establishment of the democratic Czech Republic did not bring any change. It was only in 2009 when diplomatic communication was re-established, but ownership issues of different properties remain a challenging issue of bilateral relations. The opening part of the thesis summarizes the historical development in 20th century. The second part analyses property disputes between the Czech Republic and Liechtenstein from the historical perspective. The third part concentrates on contemporary political and economic system of Liechtenstein. Specific...
Eurosceptic Political Parties Faction in the European Parliament: constitution, form, political activity and changes in the context of the European Parliament elections 2019
Doležal, Tomáš ; Brunclík, Miloš (advisor) ; Perottino, Michel (referee)
The thesis deals in the theoretical part with a presentation and comparison of views of political science on party-political euroscepticism, including a description of the development of the form of eurosceptic factions in the European Parliament after 2014 and political subjects associated in them. Practical part presents, analyzes and interprets the voting of these political entities in the election periods 2014-2019 and 2019-2024, especially in terms of their coherence within individual factions. Both in general (overall average coherence) and by individual thematic agendas. In its outputs, the work tries, based on the obtained data, to answer the question, what are the dominant common ideological characteristics of the eurosceptic political parties represented in the European Parliament and whether they form, or can form, a separate so-called party-political family. Keywords: Euroscepticism, European Union, European Parliament, factions, political parties, populism, elections Title: Eurosceptic Political Parties Factions in the European Parliament: constitution, form, political activity and changes in the context of the European Parliament elections 2019

Civil law aspects of the provision of palliative care
Vráblová, Barbora ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Holčapek, Tomáš (referee) ; Doležal, Tomáš (referee)
Civil law aspects of the provision of palliative care Abstract This dissertation focuses on topics related to the area of intensive medicine and palliative care. In particular, the clinical environment where legal controversies related to the confrontation of two different approaches, curative and palliative, are discussed. The dissertation follows the structure of the medical law area in common law often called "Law at the end of life". The first part of the dissertation is dedicated to an analysis of relevant concepts in a more general fashion. This includes the concept of medical futility, the legal distinction between 'withholding' and 'withdrawing' life-sustaining treatment and euthanasia. One chapter focuses on the decision-making process at the end of life, and the ways of solving conflicts amongst persons involved in the process. Another chapter is dedicated to a detailed analysis of the Czech regulation of advance directives. The second part of the dissertation focuses on specific issues related to the provision of care at the end of life. These include decisions related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation and DNR orders, the deactivation of pacemakers, and palliative sedation. The final part of the dissertation provides legal analysis of specific cases from clinical practice. The dissertation...
Methodology for Determination of General Damages in Personal Injury Cases
Mališ, Daniel ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee) ; Doležal, Tomáš (referee)
222 Methodology for Determination of General Damages in Personal Injury Cases Abstract The thesis examines to what extent the Methodology for Determination of General Damages in Personal Injury Cases (published by the Czech Supreme Court) meets the requirement of Section 2958 of the Czech Civil Code and its explanatory memorandum requesting that fair and just compensation is provided in personal injury cases. Detailed analysis is applied to the process of creating the Methodology, as well as to its individual rules, addressing, consecutively, the compensation of pain and suffering, of "other non-material harm" (a new legal concept under Czech law) and of lowered quality of life. Legal and logical conclusions regarding effects of the respective rules on the amounts of general damages are substantiated also by concrete statistical data, including data on the average amount of compensation for pain and suffering, and for lowered quality of life in the years 2010-2019. Based on detailed analysis of individual Methodology rules and of the statistical data, the thesis draws a conclusion that the Methodology, in its current form, is not in line with aim of the legislator to provide fair and just compensation in personal injury cases. Therefore, targeted solutions of the respective issues are presented. For the...
Casted Formula Student Upright
Doležal, Tomáš ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with a design of casted upright for Formula Student vehicle Dragon X. Casting method used for the purpose of this thesis was selected by review of relevant scientific literature. The upright was then structurally designed and strength calculations were made. Main criterion of the design is minimum compliance with meeting the required weight. Final design is compared with the design of the previous generation of vehicle.
Object shape reconstruction based on the max(t,0)-pulse response
Doležal, Tomáš ; Dědková, Jarmila (referee) ; Štumpf, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a spatial imaging of targets using time-domain radar responses on the max(t,0) pulse. The problem is formulated for both perfectly electrically conductive and dielectric objects. The main aim of the thesis includes a code implementation calculating the profile functions of an unknown object from the mentioned time responses and a code for the subsequent reconstruction of an object in the MATLAB environment. A graphical user interface was created for testing purposes. The 3D probability function technique was used for the final reconstruction. The implemented technique achieves interesting results, which are presented in the final part of this thesis.
