PRÁŠKOVÁ, Anna
The thesis deals with the issue of inclusion of people with disability into everyday life and the perception of these people by healthy pupils. The main aim of the thesis was to explore the impacts on attitudes of the pupils of middle school age towards people with the combined form of disabilities and the changes caused by the direct interaction between them and. The text is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the phenomenon of otherness and its perception by pupils in the adolescence. The largest part is devoted to the integration and inclusion of people with disability into the mainstream education. The research part contains a qualitative research strategy, where the methods of questioning techniques and semi-structured interview were used. Data were analysed by the cluster method. The research group consisted of 20 pupils of class 7. A from one of the primary schools in the Vysočina region, who had personally met individuals with disabilities. The task of the research was to find a solution to following question: What effects do the inclusion supporting primary school activities, allowing personal contact with a person with the combined disabilities, have on the attitude of pupils of middle school towards this group of people? The research results show that personal meetings greatly influence the attitudes of the pupils towards the people with various disabilities. Mutual interaction leads to understanding and students begin to perceive them as normal people with the rights and skills to live as well as those without disabilities. All informants agreed that inclusion supporting activities ended up as a very good experience for them. They are no longer afraid of the future meetings with this group of people, they know what to expect and how to communicate with them. Inclusive education is currently a hot topic however it is necessary to explore this issue even more, in order to smooth the inclusion of individuals with disabilities among healthy populations. I personally consider it very important, in order to change the attitudes of the general public to people with disabilities. Achieving this goal is possible, as it is evident from the research of the thesis, by using inclusion supporting activities organized at the primary schools.
