Stress and its coping of social workers in low-threshold facilities

The bachelor thesis deals with stress and its prevention among social workers in low - threshold facilities for children and youth. In the theoretical part, I first deal with the description of low-threshold facilities for children and youth. I also describe the methods, forms and competencies of a social worker in a low-threshold facility for children and youth. In the second half of the theoretical part, I focused on stress in general, its consequences and psychohygiene. In the practical part I conduct research, where I compare the findings from the theoretical part with its results and at the end of the work I evaluate it. I carry out the research in the form of qualitative research using semi-structured interviews, which I conducted with employees of low-threshold facilities for children and youth.
Subjective experience of students of Leisure time education at the TF JU with burnout syndrome

The diploma thesis deals with subjective experiences of students with stress in the field of leisure time pedagogy at the Faculty of Theology od the University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part of the work deals with a professional description of stress and explains concepts, such as stressors. Furthermore, in this part I focus on experiencing stress and also on possible ways to manage it. Due to the focus of the topic of the work, I also explain the very concept of burnout syndrome. The practical part that follows describes the course and results of the research survey. The research is carried out using interpretive phenomenological analysis. Based on the analysis of the interviews, I find out what subjective experience with stress university students have. In the research, I also point out what stressors affect students, how they experience stress it self and what defence mechanisms they use to manage it.
The COVID-19 crisis from the perspective of the homeless

The bachelor thesis aims to represent experience of the homeless people with an epidemic of covid-19 infectious disease. The Theoretical part tries to explain the basic concepts related to this socio-economic phenomenon and describe especially its psychological aspects including needs, motivation and mental health. The second half of the theory focuses on the issues of difficult life situations, stress, coping and also summarizes known mental health implications related to the epidemic. The empirical part presents results of qualitative research which was realized in the preiod from September 2020 to May 2021. Data collection took place using a semi-structured interview. Research sample consists of 12 informants. The aim was to examine the impacts of the coronavirus epidemic on informants lives and inner experiences, as well as to identify ways and strategies to cope with the situation that has arised. The problem can be understood as an accumulation of 2 intertwining crises, which result in limited opportunities for dealing with homelesness.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of stress and stress management in the workplace. The aim of the diploma thesis was to research the influence of stress, stress factors and their causes. Based on a questionnaire survey and an interview, changes are proposed in the current stress management of the company, including in financial terms.

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. Environmental stress

Environment, its condition and environmental factors influence human wellbeing both directly because it has direct impact on human's physical health and indirectly because it can cause stress and therefore have negative effect on wellbeing and health. Aim of this work is to find out which environmental factors and problems can cause stress and what factors, how and why, have impact on emergence of environmental stress and coping strategies. Important factors influencing environmental stress and especially coping strategies are stressor characteristics, perceived impact, coping resources, and especially perceived capability to cope with the stressor which is strongly influenced by information and experience and by behavior of others. An individual chooses passive or active coping strategy depending on these factors. Pro-environmental behavior could be one of these active coping strategies.

The Risk of Burnout in Primary School Teachers This diploma thesis deals with the risk of burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis provides an overview of the theoretical concept of burnout in teachers and the effects of burnout on their job performance and their personal life. The empirical part of the thesis introduces a qualitative research of the risk of burnout in primary school teachers who study the combined form of the 5- year Master's study programme at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, while working full-time. I interviewed several teachers who have been at the greatest risk of burnout, based on a questionnaire survey, about the factors that affect their mental health, about their perceived form of support and about their coping skills. Up to two-thirds of teachers experience exhaustion during their studies. Chronic stress, which is at the highest level during last years of the 5-year study programme, negatively affects their well-being, their family life and their physical and mental health. The effect of meditation on cortisol levels in saliva

Title: The effect of meditation on cortisol levels in saliva Objectives: The main objective of the research project in this master's thesis was to objectively (based on changes in cortisol levels) and subjectively (by method of questionnaire) study the effect meditation has on stress levels. Methods: The objective method in this work was measuring cortisol in saliva with the help of an established and certified ELISA method on an ELISA reader device. The cortisol level was measured before meditation and after meditation. A method of questionnaire was used to determine the subjective emotions and feelings of the participants before and after meditation. The total surveyed group consisted of 25 healthy men, students of UK FTVS with a valid medical exam, between the ages of 19 - 35. The experimental part and data collection were conducted in two phases. (i) First, it was determined, on ten of the same participants during two consecutive days, which type of meditation (static breathing or dynamic) will be better accepted by the participants and will have a greater effect on lowering cortisol levels. Výskyt syndromu vyhoření u pedagogů SOŠ

The bachelor thesis is aimed at the occurrence of the burnout of the vocational high school pedagogues. Author is dealing with the problematic of the stress in general, it is principles, sources, and causes with respect to the profession of the pedagogue. In the individual chapters is explained by the author the origin of the stress. Furthermore is described the course of the stress reaction and the conse-quent impacts of the long – term stress on the human body. As the result of the long – term influence for the stress on the human body is regarded the burnout syndrome, which the main target of this thesis. Main issues are dealing with the development of the burnout, prevention and copping strate-gies preventing burnout development by the stress. Within this problematic author presented categories of the burnout syndrome of pedagogues. In the final part of the theoretical thesis author focuses on the profile of the pedagogue. The degree of burnout syndrome is determined in the practical part of the theses on the basis of the pedagogue’s experiences on the selected vocational high school. Author on the basis of the theoretical part of the thesis made the standardised MBI – Maslach Burnout Inventory, which is directly intended for this problematic. Further author added a question to the survey, that she developed by herself with respect to the goals of the bachelor thesis.
