The market for acoustic pianos in selected countries of South America on the example of PETROF company

The thesis examines a potential of markets in Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil for trade with acoustic pianos PETROF. The first chapter contains an overview of piano manufacturers and terms associated with that field. Characteristic of protectionism and its effects on trade are mentioned in the first chapter as well, since some countries apply trade barriers frequently. An economic analysis of these states together with a market analysis follows. The market potential investigation is based on field research in the countries of South America.
Boj o změnu světového systému: Realistická a Neorealistická analýza brazilských, čínských a ruských strategií

The system changed after the Cold War and the bipolar structure ended and left the USA as the only superpower. The question of the 21st century what is the current structure and how the emerging powers are becoming more important and how it can change the structure and rise their dominance in the multipolar world. The analyzed actors Brazil, China and Russia through their strategies are offering the possible system changes and configurations for the near future from the realist/neorealist perspective.
The Strategy of Soft Power Use in Brazilian Foreign Policy

This bachelor's thesis focuses on a study of Brazilian soft power in the context of the country's foreign policy and an analysis of changes in its use. Since the soft power strategy was mainly developed during the administration of president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, this thesis concentrates on the years 2003-2014. This period includes both the era of Lula da Silva (2003-2010) and the first term of president Dilma Rousseff (2011-2014), as a form of comparison. The first section, which is based on the works of Joseph Nye, introduces the concept of soft power in international relations. The second section is dedicated to an analysis of soft power in both presidents' foreign policies. It focuses primarily on multilateral diplomacy, international peacekeeping operations and development cooperation. Additionally, it mentions the circumstances which influenced the decision-making of the two presidents. The third and final section assesses Brazilian soft power strategy in the given time period by evaluating all available data from polls, soft power indexes and own questionnaire. The overall purpose is to determine the extent to which the 2011 change in presidency impacted the amount emphasis placed on soft power in the country's foreign policy activities.
Czech-Brazil Commercial Relations

The bachelor thesis deals with the Czech-Brazil commercial relations from the beginning to the present. In the first part it presents basic informations about both countries and brief history of the development of mutual relations. The second chapter concentrates on commercial relations during the 20th century, describes the commodity structure and the contract base. The third chapter focuses on the present trade between both countries, describes Czech foreign direct investments in Brazil and the Brazil in the Czech Republic, deals with Czech exporters, Brazil trade barriers and their solution. The fourth chapter presents potencial branches for the Czech exporters and some recommendations for the negotiation. The attachement includes statiscs data of the mutual trade from 1919 to 2015.
Brazil, Czech Republic Encounter of Puppets Benedito and Pimprle, Study of Cultural Encounter of Two Styles of Puppet Theatre

The thesis aims to show the match between Czech and Brazilian culture through the analize and comparison between forms of puppet theater Recife Pernambuco Brazil Czech puppet named mamulengo and folkloric. With different histories and influences the two theaters have characteristics very peculiar and remarkable characters. The encounter between these cultures is also the moment in which I developed a work of dolls in Brazil and now in the Czech Republic. As the construction and form of the theater thinking changed in those three years in a master working with my tutor in Pert Matasek DAMU. My experiences in various festivals and workshops and livings with groups like Bread and Puppets are narrated in the thesis. All this result and the detailed design and conclusion will be focused in this work. This thesis and that time devoted to this research were largely devoted to research and practice of puppet making and improving my language as puppeteer. To continue living and developing projects in Europe makes me transmute into a third dimension, or Brazilian or Czech but a gathering of schools and ways of thinking. A tese visa mostrar o encontro entre a cultura brasileira e tcheca atraves da analize e comparacao entre as formas de teatro de bonecos de Recife Pernambuco Brasil chamado mamulengo e o boneco tcheco folclorico. Com historias e influencias diferentes os dois teatros tem caracteristicas muito peculiares e personagens marcantes. O encontro entre essas culturas se da tambem no momento que eu que desenvolvia um trabalho de bonecos no Brasil e agora na Republica Tcheca. Como a construcao e forma de pensar o teatro modificaram nesses 3 anos de mestrado em um trabalho conjunto com Pert Matasek meu tutor na DAMU. As minhas experiencias em diversos festivais e workshops e vivencias com grupos como Bread and Puppets são narrados na tese. Todo esse resultado e o detalhamento dos projetos e conclusao serao enfocados nesse trabalho . Essa tese e esse tempo dedicado a essa pesquisa foram em grande parte dedicado a pesquisa e pratica da marionete , confeccao e aprimoramento da minha linguagem como marionetista. Ao continuar morando e desenvolvendo projetos na europa me faz transmutar em uma terceira vertente, nem brasileira, nem tcheca mas um encontro de escolas e formas de pensar.
Amibitons, acomplishments and perspectives of the BRICS countries.

The primary objective of this work is to comprehensively evaluate the capacity of the BRICS to achieve its objectives by mutual cooperation, based on the confrontation of the declared aims of the group itself during its annual summits with real achievements. The secondary aim of the study is to estimate the direction in which the cooperation between the BRICS will be heading in the future and to define possible challenges threatening its success. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part the author describes the genesis of the term "BRICS", and then continues by describing the essential characteristics of individual BRICS countries and their mutual similarities and differences. In the second, main part, the author evaluates the extent of fulfillment of individual goals set during the BRICS summits, taking place annually since 2009. The author evaluates seven selected key goals by analyzing the reasons for their implementation, proposed methods of implementation, the steps taken for their fulfillment, the effectiveness of these steps and the current status. Subsequently, in a similar manner author evaluates several sub-targets. In the third part, the author presents the expectations for the forthcoming BRICS summit, outlines possible directions that will be taken by BRICS in the future and identifies the weaknesses threatening their successful cooperation.
Evaluation of preparations for the Olympic Games based on Rio de Janeiro 2016

Brazil is a country which enjoys great potential to become one of the world`s superpowers. In recent years it has had problems to live up to these expectations. Hosting 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro is a unique chance for Brazil. When both sports events are well planned and coordinated they can accelerate Brazil`s economic growth. This is the main reason why the primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to set key milestones for the 2016 Olympic preparations and characterise main factors which affect preparations of the 2016 Summer Olympics. This is achieved through application of general rules of project management and through analysis and comparison of past Summer Olympics. To achieve the primary aim, this bachelor thesis further uses analysis of Brazil`s economic development and description of Brazil`s cultural specifics.
Trade policy of local content at the example of Brazil

The local content is a measure that aims to develop national industries. The first part of this thesis analyses the trade and industrial policy at the example of this measure. Applying this policy, developing countries try to keep the crucial role in key sectors constituting a significant part of GDP. However, the protectionist nature of the measure is often internationally criticized and represents a target of disputes at the World Trade Organization, as outlines the second chapter. The third part of this thesis explores the use of local content in the oil and automobile industries of the Brazilian economy.
Communication strategy of the Czech Olympic House in Rio de Janeiro

The Master Thesis deals with the communication strategy of the Czech Olympic House in Rio de Janeiro during the XXXI. summer olympic games that will take place in 2016. The succesful Czech Olympic House in London is considered to be a groundwork for this strategy. There is a need to diversify, especialy because of the different characteristics of both destinations. The aim of this thesis is to find the optimal communication instruments and their application in the way that will respect the conditions of both czech and brazilian market. The emphasis is placed on the promotion of the Czech republic as a reliable business partner and attractive tourist destination.
Role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU

The topic of this diploma thesis is the role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU. The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse the mutual relations of the EU and BRICS, based on a comparison of the workings and factual bases of their relations and to deduce possibilities for further progress in their cooperation. The EU develops relations with BRICS countries mostly on a bilateral level. Since the announcement of their strategic partnerships, cooperation between them has grown rapidly. Because bilateral agreements don't reflect actual needs anymore, there are ongoing negotiations about their new form which should enable further deepening of their cooperation. The first chapter describes the position of BRICS countries in the external relations of the EU, the development of the legal-institutional framework of relations between the EU and individual countries and the objectives for further deepening of cooperation. The second chapter analyses trade, flows of foreign direct investments and other areas influencing the mutual relations between these entities. The third chapter offers possibilities for further development of cooperation between the EU and BRICS countries.
