Pre-sowing seed treatment of sorghum for germination at stress conditions

Abstract Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. moench) is one of the most important food grain. But in the Czech republic is sorghum only alternative crop. It is an interesting alternative instead of maize not only like a food crop, but for feed animals and an energetic use. Germination of some seeds is inhibited various of factors, for one thing time of ripe, for one thing existence various inhibitors etc. For that reason is an effort adjust some seeds before sowing suitable methods. Seed hydratation is usualy method seed treatment before sowing in last years on many varietes of crops. Seed hydratation is perform like a methods for improvement seed properties of seed of sowing, primary for faster germination and growth and at the same time reduct minimal temperature for germination , sensitiveness to water stress and absence an oxygen at germination. The thesis deals with seed germination of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) in adverse (stress) conditions this time in water stress conditions. The aim of this thesis was to asses possibilites of influencing germination seed of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) in stress conditions. on rudimentthis research there were rate genotypes, they are resistance drought at germination. At the same time was review the best method of seed hydratations for better ressistance to drough at germination. For practise it was foun, that using this test it is possible to test germination in earlier conditions and determine based on find, which varietes is cultivate in this conditions.

Evaluation of The Transition from Tax Records to Accounting System in The Specific Enterprise

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the transition from tax records to accounting system. The aim is to define the terms of the transition from one type of economic activity to another and theoretical analysis of this transition in order to model the change on a particular economic entity. The first part focuses on the general theory of tax management, accounting system and the definition of economic activities and their presentation. Following the analysis of legal standards and professional literature, a draft of the individual process steps has been drawn for the implementation of transition of an economic entity. The second part of the thesis is focused on the application of information obtained on specific existing economic entity. The aim is to implement the transition from tax records to accounting system with full completion and the possibility to launch the operation of the accounting system in the following tax period. The final part offers the evaluation of the transition from tax records to accounting system examined from the perspective of a tax entity, the government authorities and the public. There are illustrative financial statements included in the thesis as practical insight.

The position of women in the labour market.

The thesis deals with the position of women in the labour market, describes the most obstacles women encounter in the labour market and offers possible solutions. The main objective of the thesis is to analyse the position of the women in the labour market, to define each notion related to discrimination, to recognize the factors that influence it and to find out the differences in remuneration of men and women. Further on, the thesis would like to approach the question if women are still more discriminated on the ground of the sex or whether the society manages to eliminate the discrimination of women thanks to the measures adopted. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part of the thesis the legislative adaptation is being introduced, and it presents the effort of the state to eliminate the unequal approach towards women. The thesis analyzes the existing legal regulations of the discrimination law abroad as well as in Czech legislation. Some of the basic concepts linked to the given topic are explained, e.g. equality, positive measures and equal treatment. Another section of the theoretical part deals with discrimination, its forms and variations, discrimination on the reasons of sex and the ways of how to protect oneself from discrimination. In the theoretical part the method of analysis of information sources is used based on research literature. In the practical part of the thesis two ways of questioning are used. The first research method is a structured questionnaire in a form of a standard written questionnaire. A selected group of people is questioned to say their opinion on the given issue. The second investigation is done in a maneuvered interview with the respondents of the first questioning form, based on the prepared set of questions. The last part of the thesis elaborates the results of the research and draws the conclusions from these. Each question has a graph showing the results of the analysis followed by an exact description and explanation. The conclusion of the thesis provides a compact resume of the forms of protection which the discriminated person can use to avoid discrimination or for defense.

Healthy lifestyle of young population

The thesis focuses on the topic of healthy lifestyle of young population from a generic point of view as well as from the closer point of view of a diet. The theoretical part talks about main factors of healthy lifestyle on physical, mental and social levels, and focuses on the lifestyle of the young population nowadays, their eating practice and the issue of school canteens associated with it. The practical part examines and evaluates the selected institution, i.e. a specific canteen in a secondary school. Attention is given to other eating options at school. The research addresses observing principles of healthy lifestyle by the given organisation and at the same time it maps the students approach. Subsequently, it proposes recommendations for changes to improve the existing situation.

Administrative torts and misdemeanors according to the construction law

This degree thesis deals with administrative torts and misdemeanours according to the construction law in the Czech Republic. First, the paper describes in general the development of imposition of administrative sanctions together with legislation currently in force, focusing on individual facts of administrative torts and misdemeanours according to the construction law. In compliance with its objective the degree thesis is focused namely on the legislation in force, basic principles and rules of administrative proceeding, application of relevant legal regulations and procedures within administrative proceedings differentiated according to the nature of the person being sentenced. The procedures and possible decisions in administrative proceedings are presented in the thesis both from the view of the first-instance authority and the appellate authority, including other methods of defence against decisions issued. Based on the data obtained from employees of building authorities the degree thesis also describes the development of behaviour of persons in the Region of Pilsen while respecting the construction law and summarizes the problems occurring in administrative proceedings. It also follows up the relations of administrative proceedings and factors causing infringement of the construction law and offers possible solutions for better general awareness of the existence of legal regulations and possible sanctions imposed for the breach thereof.

Impact of the Financial Crisis of 2008 on Central and Eastern Europe

This dissertation deals with the development of the economies of Central and East Europe, which are also the new EU members. States, in the sequel of the global financial and economic crisis. In the theoretical part of, among other things, there is the issue of financial system crisis and subsequent economic recession, whic brouhgt long-term economic stagnation, substantial losses in production, consumption, investments, and foreign trade. The main dissertation shows, partly the situation in selected states of Central and East Europe before and during global financial and economic crisis, on the other, this dissertation is monitoring existing course according to basic macroeconomic characteristics of selected countries in this region. The result is a capture, valorization and subsequent summary of the macroeconomic characteristics, the analysis of Eurostat data and UNCTAD, showed the differencies between impact of financial and economy crisis on selected countries in Central and East Europe. According to the obtained data, which were analysed before 2014, it can not be said, that the economic recovery of selected countries was strong enough in order to keep all the values of macroeconomic indicators which were at levels that these countries reached before financial and economy crisis.

Local Action Group and its sustainability in rural areas

Aim of this thesis is to theoretically and empirically survey the territory of activity of the local action groups (MAS), MAS Šumavsko, z. s. and MAS Třeboňsko o. p. s., and on the basis of the gained information to testify or disprove possibility of sustainability of their existence just in the rural areas. The thesis focuses on evaluation of activities of the local action groups and on solutions which would aim at maintaining of activity of the local action group, making innovation faster even overall development of the solved region.

Design of Evaluation System for Staff

The thesis is focused on the evaluation system of employees in a given company. The aim of the thesis Design of evaluation system for staff is to analyze and evaluate the existing evaluation system of employees in a given company and on the basis of facts to propose measures aimed at optimizing the evaluation system. The first section summarizes the theoretical basis based on the literature review. The basis for the processing of the first part is an interpretation of scientific literature related to the topic. In the second, practical part is presented to a company. Subsequently summarizes the analytical findings, based on empirical research and available information gained from studying internal documentation. At the end of the comparison of theoretical and practical knowledge and is designed evaluation system employees of the company. The proposed system is evaluated in terms of cost, time and attention is drawn to the potential risks that could accompany the implementation of the project.

Evaluation of Marketing Communication

The final thesis is about marketing communication of the expo Země Živitelka, which is the flagship event of the company Výstaviště České Budějovice a.s. The aim is to evaluate the current situation in the company and the effective set-up of fundamental elements of a marketing communication mix. The first part of the final thesis concerns the theoretical approaches to the given topic. The main aspects are defined as marketing and marketing communication, their goals and strategies. The folowing part is about the description of each element of the communication mix focused on current trends and marketing communication on the Internet. The elements of this final thesis are predominantly the theoretical specifications of the expo as a product and its advertising as these are the key cores for the practical part of the final thesis. Firstly, I will introduce Výstaviště České Budějovice a.s. and its services provided. Then the main part is the analysis of the communication mix of the expo Země Živitelka, which includes the description and the evaluation of existing components of marketing communication used by the company. Consequently, the market research is carried out by questionnaires. The aim is to find out the attitudes of respondents to the marketing communication of the expo. The final part of the work introduces the concrete marketing communication solutions to exhibitors and visitors using traditional and modern communication methods.

Funding and Provision of Rail Transport in the Czech Republic

High quality public transport system is a hallmark of everyone from advanced European states. The existence and development of the public transport sector is significantly dependent on finance from public sources. The Czech Republic is no exception. The system of railway infrastructure in the Czech Republic constitutes the core of national transportation system with links to Central European transit system. The main objective of diploma thesis is to financial analysis of Czech Railways in the years 2005 - 2014. Czech Railways are considered the dominant carrier in the transport railway sector. Due attention is given to support from public sources, whether at the regional, national or even European level.
