Preconditions for successful Rhythmic Gymnastics

4 Abstract Author: Bc. Michaela Šlosarová Title: Prerequisites for the success of rhythmic gymnastics in the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess selected critical success factors of rhythmic gymnastics in the Czech Republic according to the SPLISS 2.0 research within the current system of operation and the development of success at international competitions in previous years. Methods: For the practical part, mixed research was chosen and both qualitative and quantitative research methods were used. The qualitative research is based on semi-structured interviews with three professionals from the rhythmic gymnastics environment. These are representatives from the former presidency of the Czech Rhythmic Gymnastics Association and current coaches. Furthermore, the necessary documents were analysed. In the quantitative research, senior gymnasts were subjected to an electronic questionnaire. Results: The results of this thesis have shown that rhythmic gymnastics in the Czech Republic still has the potential to become a successful sport again and our gymnasts can compete with the world's top gymnasts. Fundraising in a public non-profit organization

The subject of this thesis investigates the issue of multi-source financing in non-profit organizations. It focuses on the possibility of implementing fundraising as a strategy in civil society organizations and in public non-profit organizations. The first part lays in the theoretical foundation of the public and civic sector and the specifics of their funding. The empirical part includes a case study of a selected non-profit organization that focuses on its current funding mix and aims to consider the possibilities and limits of implementing different fundraising strategies in public organizations.
Financing of secondary school established by the region

The thesis deals with financing of secondary schools established by the individual regions of the Czech Republic. In the introduction, It addresses the development of finanancing education in the Czech Republic. Education as a public good and its importance for the development of human resources and thus the state economy. The secondary schools are financed from public resources of the state and local governments. The thesis deals with the development in the Pilsen region, the list of sources and the amount of finance. Part of the thesis is assessment of financing and management of the Secondary Agricultural and Food School in Klatovy during the past 5 years. How the amount of resources changed in the individual years after the reform of the financing of regional education in the Czech Republic.
Using subsidies by nonprofit organization

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the usage of subsidies by non-profit organizations. An analysis of publicly available databases with respect to the type of a company as well as means of financing is provided. The thesis is focused on analysing and comparing three specific non-profit organizations in Jindrichuv Hradec and on types and means of financing of those organizations. The goal of the analysis is to find out, whether acquired subsidies were used for the purpose, which was the object of companies applications, moreover the thesis investigates if subsidies were obtained with accordance to the law. Efficiency of each company in acquiring subsidies is compared.
Transformation of eastern european media presented on public broadcasting establishment

The viewership of public service media in post communist countries of the so-called Eastern Bloc is steadily declining. The need for their support brings about a question about the future of PSB model. The shape of public service remit differs across the selected countries of the Visegrád Group despite the former similarities. This study is trying to provide the reader with a solid comparison of the evolution of public service broadcasting from 4 points of view: regulation, politicization, viewer's attractiveness and sources of funding. The analysis should shed some light into the discussion of future role of PSBs in post-communist democracies. The first part of this thesis is focused on the history of former Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland with stress on the broadcasting media and their regulation until 1989. It is followed with the key part analyzing the establishment of dual system, transformation of state-owned media into public service broadcasters and the setting up of the first democratic broadcasting laws. Next chapter describes the current state of European broadcasting regulation and its impact on member states' broadcasters. The closing part evaluates the major differences in compared public service media and provides possible implications for further development of PSBs.
Analyses of public higher education funding in Czech Republic- implementation of changes

Diploma thesis "Analyses of public higher education funding in Czech Republic- implementation of changes" deals with setting the rules and principles of higher education institutions funding in Czech Republic and analyzes the situation in funding after year 2006. The thesis outlines its view on the universities budget and its function by clarifying the function of public budgets and it clarifies the constitution of higher education as a mixed good with externalities. Funding of higher institutions is a tool in the hands of the state, which helps to influence the higher education politics.For better understanding the current situation, the thesis is using the description of evolution in higher education funding after year 1989. Another important aspect is the international context, therefore , the thesis peeks into the setting up the system of higher education funding in chosen states and implements detected knowledge into the wider context. Using case study research design the thesis makes clear the evolution in funding after year 2006 and formulates the implication for public policy.
Priorities of EU sport policy and funding for sports

Title: Priorities of EU sport policy and funding for sports Objectives: The main objective is to describe the existing methods and the resulting possibilities for the sport funding EU-level scheme. This will result in presenting a comprehensive and clear picture of all EU funding mechanisms that could be beneficial for sports. The thesis also aims to describe the issue in the context of the EU sport policy priorities development and give an overview of the Council and Commission sport-related policy activities. Methods: In this thesis, a method of analysis of legislative and non- legislative texts was used. Other documents examined were further relevant studies, publications and strategic texts. A method of synthesis was also used when the partial information gathered during the relevant meetings of Council formations, conferences and seminars was formed into a comprehensive text. Results: The result is a text that captures the development of EU sport policy priorities and offers specific recommendations for area of sports that derive from the acquired information and from analysis of EU funding schemes. Foundations in Central Europe: The Comparative Analysis of the Sector of Foundations in the Czech Republic, Bavaria and Hungary

The main aim of this work is to analyze the development of the foundations sector in three countries, in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Bavaria. From methodological point of wiew it is conceived as a comparative study. The main goal is the analysis of the development of foundations in these countries, especially after the year 1989 which meant a possibility to reestablish the foundations as a full-fledged institutions of civic society. Main theoretical basis of the work is the assumption, that the interruption of natural development of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary after the year 1948 had significant effects on their restoration and function after the year 1989. The work aims to analyze different approaches to restoration of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary and to compare their different initial conditions with the conditions in Bavaria, where the development of foundations in democratic environment with the exception of the era of Nazi Germany wasn't broken.
