Solving over-constrained problems
Kasl, Tomáš ; Barták, Roman (advisor) ; Zlomek, Josef (referee)
Constraint hierarchies belong to techniques for solving over-constrained problems, that is, constraint satisfaction problems where it is not possible to satisfy all the constraints. The idea of constraint hierarchy is to label each constraint by a preference level describing how much the constraint should be satisfied. Currently, there exist two classes of constraint hierarchy solvers: local propagation solvers that can handle more or less equality constraints only and refining solvers that are a bit cumbersome and non-incremental. The theoretical framework of constraint hierarchy solvers combines advantages of both above mentioned classes but no algorithm exploiting the power of this framework has been proposed so far. The thesis describes a new algorithm for solving constraint hierarchies based on this framework.

Geometrické reprezentace grafů
Klavík, Pavel ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor) ; Pergel, Martin (referee)
Intersection graphs are a well studied field of graph theory. Complexity questions of recognition have been studied for several years. Given a graph, we ask whether the graph belongs to a fixed class. In this thesis, we introduce a new problem of partial representation extension. In this problem, aside from a graph, a part of a representation is also fixed. We ask whether it is possible to extend this partial representation to the whole graph. This problem is at least as hard as recognition. We study the partial representation extension problem for several intersection defined classes. We solve extending of interval graphs in time O(n2) and proper interval graphs in time O(mn). Using an approach described by Golumbic, we further show that comparability and permutation graphs are extendable in time O( · m). There are some classes that are known to be equal, for example unit interval graphs and proper interval graphs. Surprisingly, in the case of extending, we need to distinguish them. Similarly, we show that extending of function graphs and extending of co-comparability graphs are completely different problems.

Optimizing the composition of the diet for diabetics
Filáková, Lucie ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Jablonský, Josef (referee)
The aim of this work is 14-day diet program for diabetics for hospital purposes and to minimize the costs of the diet. The mathematical model of this problem must strictly comply with the conditions that limit the supply of carbohydrates, fats, protein and energy -- these conditions are very important for diabetics. Further the claims are made to the diet. This mathematical model is written in the optimization software LINGO and than thanks to the MPS format run in XPRESS, in which model is finally solved. Resolved model is then interpreted and compared with diet programs that have been granted by hospital NsP in Nový Jičín.

Comprehensive care for a patient with acute necrotizing pancreatitis
Černá, Věra ; Výborný, Josef (advisor) ; Novák, František (referee)
Master's thesis "Comprehensive care of patients with acute necrotizing pancreatitis" is divided into two main parts: theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part deals the characteristics of an acute pancreatitis, pancreas history knowledge, aetiology, pathophysiology, classification, clinical picture, diagnosis, therapy and possible complications of acute pancreatitis. In the practical part there are described two cases of the acute necrotizing pancreatitis disease. The first case is solved by the conservative way and the second one by a surgical method.

The European Union and Its Topical Problems
Krejčová, Klára ; Havlínová, Ivana (referee) ; Tichá, Milena (advisor)
The thesis is focused on topical problems which are solved by the European Union at present.Increasing the numer of countries of the European Union as well as deepening the integration are two focal points of the thesis. Firstly, potential candidates and new members of the European Union are judged within the topic of increasing the number of the EU countries. A specific problem is comprised by the country of Turkey which opens a lot of questions by its membership. Secondly, the analysis of the economic integration in Euro area and the process of political unification connected with the acceptance of the Lisbon treaty create the main part of the topic of deepening the integration.

How important the smokers are
Zděnková, Radka ; Písař, Pavel (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
In my bachelor's work I would like to deal with the question whether smokers represent a benefit or a loss for the society. I will describe the opinions of various economists on this problem, the way they estimate the costs connected with smoking including the external costs - the costs connected with health harming, costs used for health care, the loss of labour productivity etc. - how they deduce the costs level and what recommendations - in this area -are given to the government - e.g. the level of taxation. Further on, I would write about the way these economists estimate the smoking revenues, what these revenues represent - revenues of excise tax, profit taxes of tobacco companies, the savings in the retirement system and the health care system due to the premature mortality of smokers etc. - and what their estimated level is. I will mention the controversial issues and the ways they are solved. In the practical part of my bachelor's work I would like to calculate the level of the costs connected with smoking and it's revenues particularly in the Czech Republic. By comparing these two numbers I would answer the given question i.e. whether smokers represent a benefit or a loss for the society.

The Widows and Orphans as the Embodiment of Weaknessand Powerlessness: an Old Testament Wiew
Krčková, Dagmara ; Sláma, Petr (advisor) ; Vymětal, Mikuláš (referee)
This bachelor thesis solve a position of widows and orphans according to the Old Testament. Widows and orphans epitomize weakness and helplessness from this view. In thesis I analyse citations from Bible in which widows and orphans are demonstrated as a underprivileged groups. In thesis I present as well others underprivileged groups: slaves, levijs, homelesses and foreigners. Next I show how was exercitation social rules in the care of human, which is in onerous situation, according to the Old Testament. Social move doesn't not only about preservation of life, but about welfare of life too. In thesis I present tradition in care of weakness human in Jewish Community, which are preserved for centuries. And I open a question if could be this tradition in care of weakness human an inspiration for today. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Economic affectivity of health insurance analysis with view to payment of sickness benefits
Paikertová, Sylvie ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of my thesis is to calculate expenses and returns brought by the health insurance transformation in the Czech Republic. In particular, economic and social impact due to the change in health insurance payments. The author firstly focuses on implementation of particular economic models in the frame of given and on the characteristics of the health insurance in historical context. The economical theories dealing with analysis of the markets with asymmetric information including its solution through insurance are going to be applied for a chosen topic. Due to the connection with these facts, the main acquisitions of american economists Akerlof, Spence a Stiglitz will be mentioned. Their works solving these problems, were the source. Analytical part concentrates on evaluation of acquired statistical data, concerning the number of sickness absence during the time before and after the reform. Correlation in context of change in health insurance payments will be found. Further, significance of a transition to solidarity principle and effectiveness of shift in government competencies directly to employers in ensuring health insurance payments will be assessed. The research is going to be done like a complement of the analytical part. Main goal of research is, after evaluating relevant data, give a proper insight about influence of a reform on companies. During the work with the data an analytical and quantitative method will be applied. According to the results obtained in practical part, possible alternatives of future development will be predicted. At the same time direct and indirect influence of the reform will be accented. The aim of the work will be evaluation of effectiveness of accepted methods in the reformed system of health care insurance.

Arendt's conception of action in The human condition
Skalník, Michal ; Novotný, Karel (referee) ; Kouba, Pavel (advisor)
In my work l have tried to solve one question: What kind of conception of action is offered to us by Hannah Arendt in her well known work The Human Condition? At first l have tried to find way how to read the text, therefore l made an analysis of what condition, vita activa and other essential concepts mean. The care of my work consist in uncovering the picture of action how is showed and hidden in chapter dedicated to it. l try to uncover the meaning of action adding concept by concept to it and relating to each other. After all l take a brief look at other essay where Arendt copes with action and compare her new solutions with ones found in The Human Condtion.
