Weather Station with Ethernet Interface
Novák, Pavel ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and construction of the meteorological station. The meteorological station is designed and constructed to be able to measure the basic meteorological parameters (temperature, humidity, air pressure) and the other three variables (measuring rainfall, wind speed, wind direction). This thesis will introduce you to meteorology. Meteorology determines the daily weather forecast and the results are used for examples in aviation or maritime affairs. The method of atmospheric origin is given in the theoretical part. Meteorology must use measuring instruments to determine quantities. The dissertation also includes analysis of the measuring instruments. The meteorological station uses the Ethernet technology. In the chapter devoted to Ethernet are described its principles, types and method of power supply over Ethernet. The following section describes the design of the entire meteorological station, selection of all components and description of their connection. The chapter about implementation contains a description of the parts which forms program part of the meteorological station. The aim of the thesis is a summary of the achieved results including price comparison of the renovated meteorological station with other meteorological stations, which can be normally bought.
Analysis of the meteorological dates
Votavová, Barbora ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this study is to recognize structure of data from the meteorological station, choose useful programme for its analysis and make a theoretical analysis and graphics. The work describes the collection of data from meteorological stations, data stucture, meteorological elements, their measurement and selection of appropriate statistical program. Practical part includes charts with commentary. Conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis.
Wind shear as a dangerous fenomenon in aviation
Novozámský, Adam ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is about wind shear and its influence on aviation. There is wide theoretical description of wind shear and it’s implemented into aviation practice. There are also methods of observation, forecasting and reporting, for both pilots and meteorologist described. In this thesis, pilots can find useful recommendations for dealing with wind shear during the flight. Every reader can also read about famous aviation accidents and look at models of weather that caused those accidents. At the end of thesis there are analyses of a rawiosonde measurements related to wind shear reports. This whole thesis is focused on increasing awareness of wind shear in aviation from angle of view of both pilots and aviation meteorologist.
Design and construction of weather station
Bílý, Stanislav ; Galetka, Josef (referee) ; Götthans, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused to design and implementation of wireless weather station. The first part deals with possibilities of measurement in meteorology. The next part of thesis includes the choice of suitable sensors and conception of device. The next part of thesis contains design of the schematic of outdoor station and control unit. The last chapter is focused to testing accuracy and measuring basic parameters of disigned conception.
Meteorology and measurement techniques
Vaňousová, Jana ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis deals with the branch of science called Meteorology. It is connected with measurement techniques, too. Basic terms are defined, structure and classification of atmosphere there are briefly described and furthermore basic meteorologic components are analysed. Finally there is an evaluation of meteorologic data measured unprofessional meteorologic station.
Use of Climatic Conditions and Meteorological Information for the Optimization Thermal Cross-Country Flights
Kubátová, Martina ; Daněk, Vladimír (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the meteorological conditions of soaring flights. It desribes the basic concepts such as thermal convection, clouds, the effects of orography, storm activity. trailing wave.

Thermal convection in Czech Republic and its using by sport pilots
Ožana, Martin ; Hudec,, František (referee) ; Krška,, Karel (advisor)
This thesis provides a brief overview of ascending airflow typology in the Czech Republic, in particular the occurrence and prediction of thermical convection. Since gliders are usually towed by motor aicraft, it also includes summary of knowledge, that should be known by towing aircraft pilot.
The impact of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin on the climate of surrounding area
BARÁTOVÁ, Michaela
BARÁTOVÁ, M. (2012): The impact of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin on the climate of surrounding area. Bachelor Thesis. University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical faculty, Department of Geography. 128 pages Nuclear power plant Temelin is a dominant, which forms silhouette of the Ceskobudejovicka basin. It is a construction, which faces and resists criticism from environmental organizations. Benefit or threat to South Bohemia? Undoubtebly, the area of disputes between politicians of Czech Republic and Austria. This bachelor thesis evaluates especially climate impacts of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin. Theoretical - methodological base is mainly focused on the discussion of literature, in general and in specific terms researched the topic and related hypotheses. General section then describes the basic physical - geographical characteristics of the selected area, special emphasis is placed on climatography. An integral part of the general section is a brief description of working the youngest European power plant. The analytical section is dedicated to monitoring climate of surrounding area ETE using data that was recorded by Observatory Czech Hydrometeorological Office in Temelin and the results are compared with data that were recorded during the same period by in České Budějovice. The monitoring of climate surrounding area of Nuclear Power Plant is assessed from two perspectives. The first view sees the climate before the start of nuclear power plants in operation, so from 1989 to 2001; the second look is focused on changes which was formed after the running of nuclear power plants in 2002. The analytical part shows the possible changes in selected climatic characteristics that could be caused by cooling tower plume.
Vaisala Oyj´s entry into the Czech market
Vlková, Petra ; Gullová, Soňa (advisor) ; Klosová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse Vaisala Oyj's entry into the Czech market, to point out the greatest problems connected with the entry and to assess its success in this market. Next, verify the hypothesis whether the company Vaisala entered the Czech market at the right time, with the right business policy and if it was a good decision. The text is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is focused on the Finnish company Vaisala in general. The following part contains business strategy and business areas of this company. Next chapter, the third one, points out the biggest Vaisala's competitors worldwide. The fourth chapter describes characteristics of Finnish and Czech nations, their common and different features and also corporate culture of the Vaisala company. The following chapter analyses the entrance of this company into the Czech market. The sixth part analyses Vaisala's position in the Czech Republic and its attitude to customers and its shares in individual branches. The last chapter represents opportunities of the Vaisala company in the Czech market in the future. This thesis derives information especially from internal sources of the Vaisala company and its business representative for the Czech Republic and also from internet and book sources.
