Štosová, Tereza ; Shavit, Anna (advisor) ; Hejlová, Denisa (referee)
(Abstrakt) The bachelor thesis is focused on the studying of the influence of political leadership on communication of six political actors during the period of the main electoral campaign. These politicians, who stood for the election to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in 2017, were selected on the basis of their election results. The aim of the thesis was to answer the research questions whether these candidates showed elements of leadership and if so what, and then deduce the influence of political leadership on the election. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part provides the basis for understanding the subject. The following methodological part introduces the applied research methods. The last practical part launches by the characteristics of the studied subjects to bring the reader into the context, since the part that focuses on the research and description of the communication of these political actors is limited in time. Research is conceived as a case study that ranks among qualitative methods.

Součková, Karolína ; Charvát, Jan (advisor) ; Hájek, Lukáš (referee)
The thesis deals with the election campaign in the elections to the National Assembly, namely the campaign of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. In this example, we can clearly see how strongly campaign can impress and what influence the voter's final decision has. After the World War II, the position of the Communist Party was determined by its attitude towards the Munich events in 1938 and its activities during the Second World War - the Communist Party was undeniably a significant part of the Czechoslovak resistance and by the post- war political system. Compared to the other parties allowed after the Second World War, it had the potential to become the main political force in the country. It was through this effective propaganda that it could use this position and lead the party to victory in the elections in 1946. The art of promoting communist ideology as an ideal choice for most Czechoslovak citizens is a key reason for the success of this party. The elections in 1946 were the first after World War II, and therefore a key to the country's further direction. The Communists were well aware of this importance, and it was reflected in their thorough preparation. The other parties were also aware of this importace of these elections, but their campaign was weak compared to the CPC. The CPC...
The attitude of political parties to the minority issue in election campaigns 1918-1938
Čapková, Adéla ; Doubek, Vratislav (advisor) ; Borbélyová, Dominika (referee)
The focus of the bachelor thesis will be on the issue of national minorities and related issues discussed in the pre-election rhetoric of Czechoslovak political parties at the time of the First Republic. In particular, it will analyze campaigns before the parliamentary elections with special emphasis on the 1925 and 1935 elections, in which question of national minorities emerged most clearly. The 1925 elections were important in the minority issue, mainly because of the current issue of enforcing the language law in the context of strengthening the positions of German activism. In the 1930's, on the other hand, the influence of negative national extremist movements intensified as well as the conflict with the Sudeten German Party. The work will focus on the Republican and Communist Party campaigns at their national and regional level. Apart from the secondary historical and political literature, the author will be based mainly on periodical press and party programs. Keywords: elections, election campaign, minority issue, First Czechoslovak Republic, political parties

Malinová, Soňa ; Vymětal, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, František (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of financing of political parties and political movements in the Czech Republic, which is still neglected and insufficiently regulated in our country. In the practical part, the focus is on the financing and monitoring of the election campaigns for the regional council elections 2016. It primarily deals with the evaluation of the transparency of candidates and their campaigns. The election campaigns of the political movement ANO 2011 and the political party ČSSD are analyzed in detail in this thesis with an emphasis on the analysis of transparent accounts of the two candidates. The mandatory establishment of transparent accounts and expenditure ceilings for campaigns, in force since January 2017, are a very positive move towards a transparent political environment. Combined with control mechanisms and a system of sanctions, they form the basis for building a more transparent Czech political scene and they are the cause for further reforms and widening of rules in the system of political party and movement financing in the Czech Republic.

Pechová, Marika ; Matějka, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tomalová, Eliška (referee)
The thesis focuses on election campaigns for the 2014 European Parliament elections by French political parties. The thesis deals with a rising popularity of the National Front party in France - nowadays an often discussed topic. The party is becoming increasingly popular and is attracting more and more voters. The biggest proof of the increasing popularity of FN is the party's victory in the 2014 European Parliament elections. There exist many explanations for this victory such as an unfavourable economic situation in France, the unpopularity of the socialist government lead by French president François Hollande, or anti-immigrant sentiments spreading throughout the whole of Europe. The thesis seeks to find another possible view on the phenomenon by comparing the FN election campaign with those of its main opponents, UMP and PS, and searching for certain differences. This comparison is based on usage of political marketing tools in the campaigns: election posters, advertising spots and profiles on the social network Facebook. The aim of the thesis is therefore to analyse how the French political parties used these tools in their campaigns, and also trying to find certain particularities in how they conducted the election campaigns. It is posited that if FN uses the tools in a different way and...
