Film editing and film editor in a digital age

This work is proposing to study relationship between a film editing, film editor and a power of new technologies, which rapid development significantly affects whole editor´s profession. The work analyzes changes in estabilished editing procedures caused by modern non-linear editing systems and inspects their consequences at the editor and editing itself. One part of the work compares film material and digital cinematography, mainly from the point of view of casual problems during post-production based on digital film in non-linear editing systems. It tries to solve technical jamming, that is actually forcing to film editors.

Blackout and Its Impact on the Emergency Medical Service

At present, due to the use of different technologies, it is hard to think of any human activity that does not demand electric power. It is necessary to be prepared for of large-scale long-term blackouts. Possible scenarios of the occurrence of such a crisis situation must be analyzed and the crisis management must be prepared; primarily to minimize the impact on the lives and health of the population, their property and also natural environment. The objective of the thesis was to identify the operational readiness of regional centers of Emergency Medical Services in the Czech Republic for the possibility of blackouts and to create a survey of power supply possibilities to the operating center of the Emergency Medical Services. The questionnaire was focused on the analysis of operational readiness of regional centers for total blackout, on the framework of their technical support in alternative energy production and its time sustainability. The documents analysis included a pattern plan of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic and an operational plan for the occurrence of a crisis situation - large-scale electric power supply disturbances, and other internal regional documents concerning the situation during a blackout. The outcomes of the thesis can be used as a background material for the comparison of emergency blackout preparedness in international environment. They can be used to achieve certain standards in the field of sustainable alternative energy supply of Emergency Medical Services centers.

Work at Home. Analysis of Telework as a Phenomenon

Home based work is one of the new trends in the contemporary labour market. The thesis theoretically examines its status in West European societies and empirically concerns the situation in the Czech Republic. Teleworking creates new possibilities for balancing work and life. Flexible working hours give employees greater freedom to work and manage their lives. They may spend more time with their families, easily com bine their work with free-time activities or studying, or choose a different lifestyle. Home-based work is linked to some disadvantages on the labour market and in the private life as well. Flexible work arrangements, including telework, are often characterized by risky and insecure forms of contracts, longer working hours, work even in the days of illness or vacation etc. It may cause insecurities and inconveniences for the workers. Different problem s are tied to the dichotomy of the public and private spheres and the boundary between them. Teleworkers experience difficulties to set the border line between these two realms, otherwise they are bound and interconnected too tight with each other and the work may interfere with the private and family time. E-participation Tools Analysis in Municipalities with Extended Powers of the Region of South Bohemia

The thesis analyses and evaluates the tools of e-participation in the municipalities with extended powers of the Region of South Bohemia. The thesis is divided into three main chapters and it contains the theoretical as well as the practical part. The theoretic part consists of two chapters, introducing the problematics of e-government and e-participation. E-government topic is introduced from the national as well as international level and the specific examples of the implementation in the Czech Republic are described. The results of the survey of the ICT usage in the public sector of the Czech Republic are also analysed. The topic of e-participation is analysed in the second chaprter. The practical part of the thesis includes the analysis of the e-participation tools in the municipalities with extended powers of the Region of South Bohemia, which is based on the criterions set in the several blocks of the pattern. The results of the analyses are presented through tables, graphs and comments.

T a t o diplomová práce seznamuje s j e d n o t l i v ý m i typy technologií pro b e z d r á t o v ý přenos dat v lokálních počítačových sítích. P o o d h a l u j e výhody a n e v ý h o d y j e d n o t l i v ý c h bezdrátových technologií a j e j i c h možnosti pro nasazení ve š k o l n ím prostředí. Dále seznamuje se základními standardy j e d n o t l i v ý c h technologií. Dotýká se i popisu a funkcí jednotlivých k o m p o n e n t , které jsou nezbytné pro vytvoření a fungování lokální b e z d r á t o v é počítačové sítě. Provádí návrhem na vytvoření lokální p o č í t a č o v é sítě z a l o ž e n é na technologii wi - fi a s e z n a m u j e s možnostmi j e j í h o zabezpečení. Dále se snaží z o d p o v ě d ě t otázku, zda, a do j a k é míry, se tyto t e c h n o l o g i e v y u ž í v a j í při v ý u c e na z á k l a d n í c h školách. N a k o n k r é t n í c h p ř í k l a d e c h pak uvádí možnosti využití při výuce. Rigorózní práce je zaměřena na problematiku inovativních přístupů ve vzdělávání a zkoumání souvislostí, funkcí a možností vzdělávacích, resp. informačních a komunikačních technologií při těchto procesech. Ve vztahu k současnému pojetí vzdělávání a jeho transformace se práce zaměřuje především na specifikaci procesuálních, kurikulárních a systémových kontextů inovativních přístupů k rozvoji vzdělávání s využitím vzdělávacích technologií. Hardware assisted virtualization (Power Hypervisor, V86, Vanderpool, Paciffica) and their usage. Practical demonstration of soft-partitioning (parcelling of the operating system into separate kernel contexts) on SPARTAN kernel.

The Use of Information Technology in Health Instruction

Informační technologie pronikají do všech oborů lidské činnosti a samozřejmě také do škol. V současné době již se na mnohých školách ve větší míře využívají,1 nebo by se měly využívat počítače, nejen k výuce informatiky, ale nalézají uplatnění ve výuce v ostatních předmětech. Žáky a žákyně práce s počítačovou technikou baví, je pro ně stále zajímavá a přináší jim také mnohem větší možnosti. Je proto vhodné využít počítače i jako prostředek pro předmět Výchova ke zdraví (Rodinná výchova). V rámci studia na pedagogické fakultě mne zajímalo didaktické využití počítače (a také internetu) v rámci mých aprobačních předmětů. Využití tohoto námětu mě zaujalo do té míry, že jsem se rozhodl věnovat mu pozornost v diplomové práci. Cílem mé diplomové práce je vytvořit výukový program, který by bylo možno didakticky využít při výuce zaměřené na oblast podpory zdraví, tj. v předmětu Výchova ke zdraví (Rodinná výchova).
