My work is divided in three parts. First part examines how church solved issue of church and its eschatological rapture in past. That part shapes a frame of whole work. Biblical part analyzes texts of New Testament, which tells us about the rapture of the church. That part is base for next argumentation. Integration of Heterogeneous Information Systems
Kulhánek, Jiří ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Král, Jaroslav (referee)
Information systems are becoming an inseparable part of today's world. Together with their significance arise an emergency to integrate them to enable their mutual cooperation and so extend the facility and quality of their use. Nevertheless, this integration is carrying a number of difficulties and obstacles, which are needed to be dealt with by architects of these new and often unexplored solutions. In this work the given problematic is summarized, the basic concepts of possible approaches are introduced and the concrete challenge connected to the integration are aimed together with the ways how to solve them. Thanks to this, the project Integration of Information Systems of Charles University with its architecture of Data-Pile structure and the project Unitary Network of Italian Government as an example of Cooperating Information System can be analyzed in detail. These two integrating solutions from practice are illustrative examples of actual problems in this field, which we face in this day and age.

The influence of war on suicide rate
Olchavová, Dita ; Guasti, Petra (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Hynek (referee)
This work traces how the research dealing with the influence of war on the suicide rate have changed since Durkheim's time up to recent days. Durheim maintained that during wartime the suicide rates tend to be lower than in more peaceful times and that this is due to higher political integration of the society produced by wars. This idea has been studied by various sociologists in order to confirm or refuse this idea on the basis of individuallevel data research on suicide in different countries at different times. Some studies have found support for the idea, while other have not. Investigating these studies - their results as well as their methodology - brings up valuable information about the crucial points of conducting a research of this domain. Multi-cultural Education
Irish political parties euroscepticism analysis
Chrudimská, Barbora ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Kasáková, Zuzana (referee)
Ireland is generally seen as one of the biggest supporters of the European Union. Irish public opinion researches have been showing long-term and extremely positive attitudes to the European integration. The pro-European consensus is also known among the local political parties. Moreover, at the end of the 20th century, a strong economic growth had started and the Ireland quickly became a model example of how positive impact the European integration may have on its Member states. European issues therefore did not attract too much attention in the local political discourse. This changed in the early 21st century, when the increasing public euroscepticism began observable. The thesis examines whether selected Irish political parties adapted their rhetoric and actions to ever more critical mood of voters. These are Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Green Party. The thesis covers three critical moments of the Irish European integration, namely the Nice Treaty, the Lisbon Treaty and the Irish debt crisis. It searches for negative comments about the EU and European integration of examined political parties in the campaigns before the referendum on European issues, as well as in their election statements to the Irish parliamentary elections, also taking place in the selected period. The aim of the thesis is...

The Overture to the First Version of the Opera King and Charcoal Burner
Myslivcová, Eva
The issue of different versions of works of music is one that is discussed in the case of Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), and in a certain sense it is connected with the theme "old and new", when an older, earlier, or first version becomes the basis for a newer one. This text focuses on a specific example of different versions, that of the overture to the first setting of Dvořák's opera King and Charcoal Burner from the year 1871. An overture which, as an integral part of the opera, was based on the musical material contained in the work, which eventually was never performed. And at the same time an overture that was the only part of this opera to "survive", was later transformed by the composer himself to a concert overture and thus became an independent work, while the opera's libretto was set to new music. This is in a nutshell the rather complicated genesis of the opera King and Charcoal Burner, during which the Concert Overture in F Major took shape as a new composition, created from the musical material of an old one.
