Distropine - Distributed System for Anotation of Web Pages
Kaprál, Ondrej ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Nečaský, Martin (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and implement peer-to-peer version of a service for commenting of internet resources. From a functional point of view it is an implementation of P2P discussion forum. We attempt to achieve the highest possible degree of decentralization while meeting these requirements: usage of distributed hash table to store data content and deployment of user identity concept while protecting this identity against theft. In the analysis we came to realize that in the environment where users do not establish any bindings and content distribution is broadcast in nature there is need for globally trusted authority. For this reason it is deployed PKI with certication authority (CA). Our pursuit of maximum decentralization is reached by multiple measures in the design of the application. We allowed simultaneous operation of multiple CA instances, we have also minimized the power of CA to monitor user activities or to censor the content of the system. User interface of the software is integrated into web browser what helps us to shield user from complexity caused by P2P design.

Romanian dramatic production in 60-70 years of 20th century
Mendlová, Petra ; Valentová, Libuše (advisor) ; Vajdová, Libuša (referee)
Romanian dramatic production of 60 - 70 years in 20th century is the topic of my diploma thesis. In this period of time dramatists they had much more freedom in their creativity than in previous years. Reason for that was politic release and that had led to artistic release as wel1. I have decided to analyze these four playwriters and their dramas: Ion Baie~u - Iertarea (Forgiveness), Chitimia, Vinovatul (Cuplrit), Escrocii in aer liber (Cheaters under the blue sky), Dresoarea de fantome (Ohosts buster). Teodor Mazilu - Pro~tii sub c1ar de luna (Fools under the moonlight), Ace~ti nebuni fiítamici (These crazy hypocrites), Frumos e in septembrie la Venetia (Beutiful Venice in september), Sarbatoarea princi ara (Prince ly banquet), PMaria de pe noptiera (Hat on the bedside table). Dumitru Radu Popescu - Ace~ti ingeri tri~ti (These sad ange1s), Piticul din gradina de vara (Dwarf in the summer garden), Visul (Dream), Dirijor (Conductor), Cezar, mascariciul piratilor (Cesar, c10wn ofthe pirates) Marin Sorescu - Iona (Jonah), Parac1iserul (S acrist) , Matca (River-channel), Raceala (Cold), A treia teapa (The third executive stake). In my diploma thesis I was mostly concem about the style of the dramas, what affected them, the strongest influence that allowed the artist to open up and describe specific1y each and...

Saint George's Basilica at Prague Castle and her Building Development
Chlustiková, Katarína ; Kuthan, Jiří (advisor) ; Scholz, Stefan (referee)
Basilica St.-Georges at the Prague Castle and its building development The basilica of St. George at the Prague Castle is one of the most important and the best preserved ones in Czech art history. It has been rewarded by extensive academic interest, mainly leading to the number of monographic papers written on it. Nonetheless the opinions on its foundation and development differ fundamentally. This thesis aims at arriving to perspective, from which we can compare and resume these diverse theories. This has been enabled mainly by recent archeological revision of older results and its more precise datation which allows new revision of the building development in its upper parts and the revision of its chronology. The thesis summarise all of accessible resources for the comprehensive analysis, archeological, historical and art-historical, which has been already published or used. It tries to bring a new view on the possibilities of an interdisciplinar study. Lack of this was the main reason for the misunderstandings among the academic society connecting this building. Inventory models - shortcomings, the necessary adjustments and improvements for real use of models in companies and supply chains
Červenka, Daniel ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find the appropriate manner for inventory control of a small e-shop. The greatest emphasis is placed on the nonseasonal goods. Any model which respect all needs of the shop was not found. From a series of models the stochastic model with continuous demand was chosen as the most applicable. Adjustment of the cost function, change the delivery time from constant to fluid, determination of optimal inventory level and other modifications brought the model more in reality. This allows to find the optimal model solution for each stock item which can be reasonably well met. Simultaneously the foundation were laid for post-optimization analysis, by which all the process of inventory control can be streamlined.

Spekulace s komoditními deriváty
Kovaľ, Matúš ; Pígl, Jan (advisor)
In my work Speculation with commodity derivatives – case study I wrote about my personal experience with commodity trading The work itself is divided into two parts; first part explains the theoretical background needed for my work. It defines terms like finance market, exchange, different types of exchanges, and it also explains what commodity and commodity exchange is, furthermore it defines derivate I did trade, futures. Moreover, first part of my work describes different methods that are used for prediction of price movements, like fundamental, technical and psychological analyses. During my trading, I mostly used technical analysis, therefore I'm talking about this method more deeply and I describe few procedures more in detail. In the second part, I'm writing about my actual commodity trading. I was able to do that thankfully to CTS system, since the company allows its prospective customer, to use company's software and trade with virtual money, but with real time data from Chicago commodity exchange. Very fast did I understand that it's quite simple to learn how to use technical analysis. But what troubled me the most was the psychology of trader. I was unable to keep up with my trading plan, since my decisions were influenced by emotions like fear, stubbornness and impatience. And that was the reason why I focused on this in my work. I can divide my actual trading into three periods. In first, I was so inexperienced and shocked by how my emotions influenced my decisions that I was not able to keep up with any trading plan I prepared before start. In second period, I was able to make a plan and hold onto it. I was aware of problems that can be caused by emotional decisions, and I paid attention to them. In third period, I improved my trading system, and I was able to successfully trade commodities.

Remote interpreting
Koskanová, Aneta ; Rejšková, Jana (referee) ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is remote interpreting (RI). Our objective has been to describe the current experience with this new kind of interpreting, the reasons for its application, the opinions of the interpreters and the impact of RI on their work and health. The paper is divided in two sections. In the theoretical part, we explained the term remote interpreting and its two meanings: (distance interpreting in general x simultaneous conference interpreting without direct view at the speaker). A short description of the various types of distance interpreting (telephone interpreting, interpreting for deafs and in media) and the modern ways of conferencing make a panorama of situations in which the distance interpreting is (or could be) used.

Information strategy draft for Junák CZ
Pelcl, Ladislav ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Řepa, Václav (referee)
The main goal of the diploma thesis is creating a draft of an information strategy for Junák -- Association Scouts and Guides CZ. The organization is a Czech NGO, focused on education of children and young people. For both these main activities and also administrative, economical and other areas, it uses IS/ICT resources. Mainly due to a lack of coordination in their past development, in many fields these don't allow the organization to work efficiently and use the current potential of IS/ICT. This leads to diminishing of the organization's competitiveness. The thesis tries to bring such a strategy, that the organization could use even in the case it needs to be modified accordingly to its priorities. The thesis tries to reach the creation of the draft through a number of steps. Following the brief description of the organization, the thesis introduces basic terms and attitudes towards the IS/ICT governance. In order to identify both weaknesses and future potential, it thoroughly describes and analyzes the current IS/ICT projects currently in use in the organization. With partial use of the "potential of improvement" method, it states reasonable degree of efficiency improvement in various key activities. Great amount of focus is being spent on proposals of new projects, that could lead the organization to efficiency or raising its competitiveness through making the most of current trends in IS/ICT. Major projects are put together out of the proposals as well as the method of their evaluation in relation to the strategic priorities of the organization. Finally, the information strategy is defined. Author's main contribution is in his capability to point out new solutions which could help to improve non-optimal processes in a way, that makes use of current potential of IS/ICT. Using his experience from both the organization itself and the IS/ICT field, he tries to create modern, tailor-made information strategy.

The birth of the far eastern great power. The foreign policy of Japan, 1894-1905
Kočvar, Jan ; Kovář, Martin (referee) ; Skřivan, Aleš (advisor)
ln the first half of the seventeenth century, Japan, hitherto a powerful and absolutely not a backward nation, had been forced by sh6gun's regulations into unnecessary isolation, which let her rnilitary power dirninish and her people imprisoned in narrow area of its home islands. AU opportunities for foreign expansion were rnissed; main reasons were ridicuolous fear of the Tokugawa bakufu from Christianity, which were curiously not settled by extinction of main Christian bases in the Far East, and its selfish resolution not to aUow changes in the balance of power among the bakufu and powerful daimj6 t6zama from remote southwest regions of Japan. At the beginning of the second half of the XIX. century, Japan was a poor and underdeveloped country, almost entirely secluded from the outside world. Once great empire was an easy victim of "foreign barbarians", who handily forced signing of unequal treaties. His Imperial Majesty thus reassumed a reign over a weak country which may be justly described as a serni-colony of foreign intruders. However, wise and resolute leadership of the Meiji government allowed Japan to become a "rich country with strong army" , fuHy capable of revision not only of unequal treaties, but also of her entire international position. Old and deep desire of J apanese society for active...

Calculations of nanocrystalline diamond-covered waveguides based on amorphous silicon
Jirásek, Vít ; Prajzler, Václav ; Remeš, Zdeněk
Nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) coatings on planar waveguides (WG) in the IR region allow to design optical sensors sensitive to absorbers like proteins or other biomolecules. In this contribution, we present a 2D model of a multi-layer WG developed under FEM (finite element method) simulation software Comsol Multiphysics. The model is based on the modified wave equation solved in the frequency domain and includes optical absorption. It was found that for the single-mode WG working in the narrow region of 1550-2000 nm the silicon thickness must be 150-320 nm. It was found that in order to keep a reasonable signal attenuation, the NCD film must be prepared with the optical absorption coefficient lower than 10 cm-1, being a rather challenging task. Dependencies of the signal attenuation on the NCD film thickness, absorbing layer height, its absorption coefficient and exciting wavelengths are presented.\n

Ethical questions in the discussion of euthanasia
Ferenčiková, Daniela ; Rethmann, Albert-Peter (advisor) ; Ovečka, Libor (referee)
Ethical questions in the discussion about the euthanasia A birth, a life and a death - all these phenomena present an universal and unnecassary experience of mankind and each individual. Death, then an individual extinction of organism afflicts the human not only in a biological area, but also in a psychological, social and spiritual one. It was self-evident in the past that all the people died at home among their relatives. Nowadays this image has changed. Most of the people die in the hospitals or in the mental institutions. Some people has changed also the understanding of meaning of an incurable illness and their attitude to the suffering and pain. There are people who offer the euthanasia for the incurably ill and their relatives as a solution of their heavy suffering. Nowadays the euthanasia serves as a possibility to end an incurable illness, moreover, it's a part of legislation in some countries where is allowed by law. The aim of this thesis is exactly to focus on the ethical questions in the connection within the discussion about the euthanasia. It is considered as a general truth that a human life is a gift from the God because man is created by the God and the God's image is written in them. Therefore, man has a great dignity. They possess the reason, free will and immortal soul,...
