Rauchfussová, Karolína ; TROJAN,, Karel (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Presented work deals with the study progressive heat-reflecting foil thermal insulating materials and defines their thermal insulation properties. The work describes a transport mechanism of thermal energy in the structure of heat-reflecting materials, their physical properties, especially heat resistance, compared to the conventional thermal insulating materials available on Czech market. The main applications ways and installation methods of these materials (especially in low-energy and passive buildings) are also shown. The practical part is focused on asembling the measuring device HOT BOX in accordance with the valid standards, to determine the heat resistance of heat-reflecting materials. In next step the measurement of reflection of aluminum foils (an integral part of the structural arrangement heat-reflecting foil insulations) was performed.

Thermodynamic and transport properties materiáls based on Bi2Se3
Janíček, Petr ; Sechovský, Vladimír (advisor) ; Diviš, Martin (referee)
Single crystals of Bi2Se3 doped with Mn (cMn=0 - 3,0.1019 atoms/cm3) atoms were grown using a modified Bridgman method. Prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, reflectivity measurement in the plasma resonance frequency region, temperature and magnetic field dependences of the transport coefficients (electrical conductivity, Hall constant), by magnetization measurements (measurement of magnetization curves and temperature dependence of molar magnetic susceptibility) and by measurements of specific heat. The measuremens of above mentioned quantities revealed that the incorporation of Mn atoms to crystal structure leads to increase the free electrons concentration as well as mobility of free electrons. Valence of manganese atoms is according to the magnetic measurements Mn2+. These effects are explained on the point defect model, which is based on idea that the Mn impurity creates substitutional defects Mn'Bi and decreases concentration of antistructure defects Bi 'Se at the same time.

Franchising in Private International Law
Širůčková, Pavlína ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Růžička, Květoslav (referee)
- 83 - 9. Summary The main purpose in writing this work is to create an awareness and understanding of franchise agreements and to show their efficacy as to legal tool for international business. Franchising could be described as a system of marketing goods or services, which is based upon an ongoing collaboration between legally independent undertakings, the Franchisor and the Franchisee. Franchisor grants Franchisee the right to conduct a business in accordance with the Franchisor's concept. The right entitles the Franchisee, in exchange for a financial consideration, to use the Franchisor's trade name, trademark, service mark, know-how, business and technical methods and other intellectual property rights, supported by continuing commercial and technical assistance, within the framework of a written franchise agreement, concluded between parties. The franchise agreement should reflect the economic interests of the members of the franchised network, protect the Franchisor's industrial and intellectual property rights and also protect the common identity and reputation of the franchised network. International franchising transaction is governing by the law of international business transactions that straddles both the public and the private law. There are plenty of laws relating to this contract but only...

Efficient competency model
Hoffmannová, Anna ; Štikar, Jiří (referee) ; Riegel, Karel (advisor)
Methodology of competencies developed from researches focused on determining the properties and characteristics which are involved in the distinction between average and superior performance. A contribution of competency model is that it helps employees to identify the success criteria required to be successful in their current or future job. Determination of requirements for certain positions allows subsequently to compare a current level of skills of employees with the required ones. An effective competency model supports and contributes to the objectives strategy goals of the organization. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the current approaches and findings on this issue. In the practical part, we test and verify competency model. Using a revision of one competency model and creating a new model subsequently we check whether the model used in the company reflects really the strategic needs and whether is linked to others HR processes. For this purpose, the model is subjected to complete analysis that determines gaps and opportunities for improvement. Results are implemented in the solution of the new situation. The work emphasizes the idea that competency model is not universal and the effectiveness of their applications lies in their abilities to be identified, defined, understood and...

Industrial property protection and international law
Hradečný, Michael ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pítra, Vladimír (referee)
83 VIII. RESUMÉ International Protection of Industrial Rights Intellectual property is a dynamic area of law, flowering especially in the age of information society. Thanks to new technologies and mainly due to the use of Internet the local markets are becoming global. As intellectual property becomes more interconnected with other fields of law its importance keeps rising and so does the role of international regulation. Particular industry rights protection may be relied upon only when protected in all the countries of potential exploitation. International agreements relevant for this area of law are analysed in this work and emphasis is put on their main functions, which is the overcoming of the principle of territorial limitation and the guarantee of protection of the rights attained in one state by other states. The goal of my thesis is to provide an insight on the problematic of international regulation of intellectual property, analyse it from the legal point of view and reflect its significance in the light of actual social context. In order to fulfil this goal I have chosen to use the following methods: literature analysis, statistical analysis, comparative analysis and secondary analysis. Despite the role of industrial right played in the recent times they seem to be subject to rather marginal...

Residential house in Ostrava
Šponarová, Lucie ; Procházka, Martin (referee) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to design a building with apartments in a high standard of living. The building will be located on sloping land currently accessible from the street Hybnerová in cadastral area of Silesian Ostrava. Construction, surrounding land and fence form a unified aesthetic and functional whole, reflecting the sloping nature of the site. White matter of structure grows continuously from the lowest point and produces fencing which spirals around the property and rise harmoniously into the building itself. Adjusted terrain of land creates platforms for individual gardens for each apartments and produces space for underground garage. The house is designed as a three-storey building with underground garage. The building will accommodate 5 residential units with terraces and technical and storage spaces within the basement. The building is oriented southwest and its location allows splitting the land to the eastern and western gardens. Southwest orientation uses the only unblocked view from the property. Continuously rising fence separates the building from surrounding buildings and offers plenty of privacy for the residents. Concrete fence has also security function.

The use of satellite data offers a potentially well usable tool to accurate drought monitoring. The study examines the space-time possibility of agricultural drought detection using freely available data from the MODIS instrument onboard Terra and Aqua satellites that reflects vegetation condition. Vegetation greenness metrics used in this study are based on the spectral reflectance curves in the visible red and near-infrared part of the spectrum and are expressed in relation to the average for the period of 2000-2014. The results are presented in weekly time step for the whole area of the Czech Republic, and are compared to the drought monitor system, based on the SoilClim dynamic model for soil water content estimates. These data, as well as other parameters, such as soil properties and land use, are integrated at 500 meters spatial resolution.

Powertrain Vibration Modelling using Virtual Prototypes
Prokop, Aleš ; Bauer, František (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the matter of powertrain vibration reduction, focusing on the transmission. These units, depending on the purpose of utilization, consist of a high number of dimensionally complex components. These need to possess features, selected already in the design phase, which would guarantee smooth and quiet operation. A properly designed tooth profile and the related specified accuracy of manufacturing are one of the most important features. The basic function and the purpose of transmissions application indicate a relatively wide range of operating speeds and transmitted loads. Moreover, combination of both loading with improperly designed string’s parameter can cause a number of various problems. The vibration initiation with related noise from gear mesh belong to the most significant sources of issues. There are multiple mechanisms of oscillation initiation. Even when using the latest trends in the development of teeth, when their shape is upgraded and developed to meet specifically given load range, the above mentioned irregularity of transferred torque cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, it is necessary, already in the design phase, to eliminate the transmission paths by which are vibrations transmitting to other components. People perceive this action in the form of vibration, noise, or temperature change in the surroundings. With the increasing comfort levels and number of produced vehicles the reduction of vibration and noise of machinery parts becomes stricter, including gears. The experimental approach is primarily used to assess the accuracy of designed gearboxes, but it is a very expensive and a time consuming method. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a process that utilizes both numerical simulation and experimental approach but also combines the advantages of both, particularly time and cost savings and comparability of results. For this purpose, the experimental gearbox is designed and manufactured including the single-stage gear enabling variable configurations in terms of the ratio change. The gearbox is subjected to numerical simulation of different complexity levels, as well as technical experiment. Furthermore, the universal virtual prototype in Multi-Body System ADAMS is created, which reflects the impact of several key parameters for proper functionality, such as axial distance, backlash, gear mesh stiffness, shaft mounting stiffness (bearings) and modal properties of the shafts and gearbox housing. Last but not least, the impact of imbalance or irregularity of input shaft speed is incorporated. The last part focuses on a brief description of the application of the presented methodology – modelling of vibrations on the tractor gearbox.
