The management system and competitiveness of a small business

The study is focused on the management system and competitiveness of selected small business based in the county town of South Bohemian Region. Aim of this work is to evaluate the management system and analyse the competition of the selected small business; and to suggest how to improve the current situation in terms of competitiveness. The management system is already established, fully utilized and followed by all employees of the company. The strength and competitive advantage of the company is the quality of service delivery and processing speed. Marketing and advertising seem to be the weakest area. There are suggestions in this work how to strengthen these areas. At the present the enterprise has a stable position in the market.
Strategic management in a selected organization

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the strategic management in a selected organization and propose a strategy to improve competitiveness. The work deals with the analysis of micro organizations through Porter's five forces model and analysis of internal environment in selected functional areas. In marketing, the reader learns about politics product, pricing, communication and distribution. Financial analysis indicates financial situation. This work also provides insight into the production environment, and human resources management. Based on the evaluation of the current state of the organization through analysis of selected internal and external environment is through the SWOT analysis suggested a strategy that will improve the competitiveness of the organization. In addition to the proposed strategy outlined several proposals to streamline the organization's strategic management in selected areas.
Cluster - modern concept or the instrument of competitiveness?

The subject of my thesis is the issues of clusters as the forms of co-operation and a description of its working in practice. The introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to the history of the cluster. It deals with the interpretation of the basic concepts, then describes the origin, development and financing of clusters. Further explains terms like facilitator and cluster initiative. Finally, it describes the main advantages and disadvantages of clusters. The practical part is focused on the description and analysis of two clusters situated in the Slovak Republic, especially in Trnava region. In the end of my thesis, I will evaluate and compare the individual clusters. Then I write the recommendation to their development in the future. The goal of this thesis is to determine whether the cluster as a form of co-operation is so beneficial as it is stated in the literature.
Analysis of the competitive enviroment of the spa services in Luhačovice

The subject of this diploma thesis is "Analysis of the competitive enviroment of the spa services in Luhačovice". The main aim of the thesis is comparison of spa services of different spa facilities operating in Luhačovice and choose the best provider of the services. The PEST analysis was used for reaching the main aim which included political, economic, social and technological indicators that influenced most of businesses in spa tourism. The another step was to analyse internal competitive environment of Luhačovice. It means that chosen spa subjects are analysed and then the strongest and best current provider of spa services is determined. The final part of the thesis is focused on recommendations for maintaining position and increase the competitiveness of the best provider.
Trade fairs and exhibitions as an instrument to increased competitiveness of czech exporteurs

The Bachelor's thesis is focusing on Trade Fairs and Exhibitions as an important element in competing in global markets. The work describes history and development of Trade Fairs, Exhibitions and how have their main characteristics changed and evolved over the years. It is important to understand this process, because as Trade Fairs and exhibitions changed over the time it has directly affected also the reasons why companies take a part on such an events. Whereas in past companies were coming to Trade Fairs to compete with products and prices, today trend shows that they are looking for propagation of their brand, networking and building of successful image. The outcome of the thesis clearly shows the connection between the competitiveness of the companies and participation on Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. To support the whole concept we asked one of the important Czech companies ŽĎAS to answer questions that has proved that due to the participation on Fair Trades and Exhibitions has their competitiveness and exports risen in the past and are expecting to continue in this trend.
Analysis micro and macroenvironment of the company RegioJet, a.s.

The thesis analyses micro and macroenvironment of the company RegioJet, a.s. which carries on passenger rail transport. The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical basis which is applied on the environment of chosen company in the second part. PESTLE analysis is used to examine the macroenvironment and Porter five forces analysis is used to examine the microenvironment. Additionally, SWOT analysis is done by using the knowledge from the macro and microenvironment of the company. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe factors affecting the company and classify the company within a competition.

Methodology and basic definitions of the analyzed fields are described in the theoretical part. The practical part builds on the theoretical part, where each field was analyzed and then there were suggested solutions, which can help improve competitiveness of the firm.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the current socio-economic situation in Mexico and examines the impact of selected social and economic indicators on the country's competitiveness in international trade. For the evaluation of these indicators the comparison of Mexican economy with the economy of the United States of America is used. Finally, the results of the work are consulted with the Ambassador of Mexico in the Czech Republic.
Innovation and business competitiveness

This thesis deals with issues related to innovation in the Czech company and their influence on their competitiveness. The aim of the work in the first part is the definition of terms: innovation, competitiveness and demand and their relationships. Attention is paid to the impacts of global competitive and turbulent world and the competitiveness of Czech companies. They show the expected basic trends of the world. The second part describes Czech industrial company (GZ Digital Media, Inc.) and its trends over the past year. It analyzes the development of the basic indicators (profitability, liquidity and business activity) and quantifies the prediction possibilities of bankrupt (Altman index, IN 05). Finally there are definitions of factors of the current success of the business, including its persistent and intense innovation and strong influence of leading figures in business management.
