Searching for similar secondary structures in RNA
Vojtek, Daniel ; Hoffmann, Petr (referee) ; Mráz, František (advisor)
In contrast to DNA, the RNA strings fold into complicated secondary structures, which are highly important for their function. Main goal of this work was to create an application, which allows designing a detailed pattern of RNA secondary structure and then finding similar ones in the given set of RNA. The application has also direct access to GenBank database, from which it can download RNA sequences according to the user-defined query. Sequences without secondary structure are folded using a function from Vienna RNA Package. A part of the application is a graphic user interface, which provides comfortable way to design a pattern and allows the browsing found similar secondary structures. The work also presents basic principles of searching of similar RNA secondary structures and its usage in building phylogenetic trees. Description of all used algorithms is present too.

Voltage contrast method in ESEM
Krňávek, Martin ; Čudek, Pavel (referee) ; Jirák, Josef (advisor)
This work contains theoretical description of basic features and principles of electron microscopy, with focus on environmental scanning electron microscopy. It describes function of the microscope, interactions that takes place after collision of electron pack with a sample, mainly it describes creation of back reflected electrons and secondary electrons and methods of voltage contrast. The practical part focus on voltage contrast issue by observing decomposition of electric potentials on surface of semiconductor devices and it establishes ideal working conditions for observing voltage contrast by scintillation detector of secondary electrons.

Determinants of consumer behavior in relation to sports activities
Kafková, Petra ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor) ; Susnyak, Viktor (referee)
The aim of this Master's Thesis is to reveal and describe segments within a group of university students. The first part includes the theory of market segmentation, including the market research theory and description of the technique of cluster analysis. The second part contains the exploration of secondary data - identifying characteristics of the target group and searching for ideas for own research. The third part describes preparation for primary research, collecting of the data and their analysis. At the end I reveal segments with the help of cluster analysis and describe all uncovered segments.

Talent Development in a particular company
Hraničková, Martina ; Křečková Kroupová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Rumíšková, Hana (referee)
The Master thesis is focused on describing a structure and importance of Talent Management in a particular company. The aim of this thesis is to describe a current process of Talent managing and developing in the chosen company. Based on an analysis of strengths and weaknesses and evaluation of current situation are recommended relevant changes. These changes would increase effectiveness of the process. In theoretical part are defined terms and definitions, which were obtained by studying of secondary sources. There are also described trends of Talent Management and impact of economic crisis on Talent Management. At the conclusion, there is made a summary which also includes specific recommendations for Talent Management in chosen company.

Evaluation and decomposition efficiency using Malmquist productivity index
Skočdopol, Petr ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Chrobok, Viktor (referee)
At first, the basics of microeconomics from the perspective of companies, effectiveness and methods of its measurement and the most important information on the distance function this thesis, are shown. It also contains the development of the Malmquist productivity index. The aim of this work is the description of this index and its components. Indicate how these values are calculated and what expressed. Secondary objectives are to introduce different variants of Malmquist indexes and their use. Four models are used for calculating individual components of the Malmquist productivity index. These are the DEA models, Aigner-Chu, Stochastic production frontiers and Stochastic activity analysis. The first three in this work are described in detail. In conclusion is an illustrative example of calculation Malmquist productivity index using DEA models. For the calculation I used the program Lingo.

Contractures and their prophylaxis
Benešová, Barbora ; Rodová, Zuzana (referee) ; Lippertová-Grünerová, Marcela (advisor)
The main aim of this bacheloťs thesis is to describe the problematics of contractures forming with emphasis on the most common contractures on upper limbs. The processes to prevent the contractures are also described. The secondary objective of this work is to raise knowledge of my colleagues working and studiing in the fíeld of occupational therapy. In my work I wanted to describe the problematics of forming contractures, with placing emphasis on most common contractures on upper limbs and on processes preventing the contractures as well. For the correct evaluation of spasticity influence on contractures creation it is necessary to have its description of and also possibilities of its treatment. Main focus is given to botulotoxin therapy, its composition, indication and counter-indication of treatment, pharmaceuticals currently available on the market and its applications. Practical part with picture section describes possibilities of occupational therapy on three subjects on Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Prague who had suffered brain damage and are currently on botulotoxin treatment. Just firom this small sample the results seem to indicate, that one of the most important factors of treatment is patienťs motivation; knowledge of treatment and family interest. Therapy of botulotoxin is effective...
