Recently excavated burial grounds of the Únětice culture near Kolín (Central Bohemia)
Král, Vlastimil ; Bláhová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Limburský, Petr (referee)
Theses is focused on analysis of early bronze age burial sites excavated during the rescue excavation caused by highway construction around the town of Kolín. Two burial sites in a range of 70 and 13 burials were examined. Information from both of these burial sites were analyzed on the basis of fieldwork research from years 2008-2009. The larger burial site was ascribed to late Únětice Culture by material finds, the smaller burial site was recognized as early Únětice Culture. Burial rite had a same standard characteristic as in other Únětice regions. Local differences in burial rite dwelled in a specific finds, which are not common in an eastern part of Middle Bohemia (amber, animal blade bone). Secondary burial disturbances was traced in all kind of burials of men, women and children. The reason why was secondary burial disturbance not connected to only one group of burials, but to all of them is not clear. Types of ceramic shapes support connection with Moravian region. Thanks to new knowledge about Únětice culture in the eastern part of Middle Bohemia, we can observe, that settlement concentration was in late Únětice culture same as in other Únětice regions. Key words: early bronze age, Únětice Culture, burial sites, burial rite, Kolín region, burial disturbance

Roman marriage with an accent on the property relations
Lukáč, Petr ; Skřejpek, Michal (advisor) ; Falada, David (referee)
This rigorous thesis deals with Roman marriage with an accent on property relations. The primary purpose of the thesis is to analyze Roman marriage. The secondary purpose of rigorous thesis is to illustrate property relations in roman law between husband and wife. The introduction describes everyday life in the Roman custom of a village and then the population in a Roman village. The thesis briefly compares marriage in ancient Rome with a legislation of cultures older than the Roman one. The thesis closely examines the obstacles that prevented conclusion a legitimate form of marriage. Subsequently, the thesis describes two forms of marriage, first the older form of matrimonium cum in manu conventione and then younger form (more liberal) matrimonium sine in manum conventione. Another chapter defines the ways of marriage derogation. The secondary aim of the thesis, property relations between spouses, deals with property relations for the reason of life and for the reason of death (inheritance). The general reason is that marriage is and has always been connected with the adjustment of property relations of both parties who enter into marriage. Closuring marriage creates a property community of the participants (Alliance of property). The next chapter contains property - legal relationship of the children. The...

Comparison of the dramatic artwork with its contemporary staging. Tom Stoppard : Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
Bočková, Anežka ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hausenblas, Ondřej (referee)
The theme of my bachelor thesis is a comparison of a dramatic artwork Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard with its contemporary staging in Celetná theatre. First of all I would like to grasp theoretically the relationship between play and its staging, then I want to deal with the role of the director and also with the interpretation of drama. I will introduce Tom Stoppard, his biography with important life milestones, which are somehow related to the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. My goal is to show bits of the play, which could be interpreted divergently in the dramatic artwork and in its staging. I will go through all of the components of the original play and the staging and look for the possible differences of interpretation and their reasons. In comparison, I perceive changes in the impression of both of the works. I am going to work mainly with the dramatic artwork and its staging, because there is almost none secondary literature on this topic. My goal is to show bits of the play, which could be interpreted divergently. I demostrate the possibility of different interpretation on three examples. The first example are the gaps in the storyline, which Stoppard uses as a space for his brilliant play on words. However the staging seems to emphasize this humorous...

The Compasrison of the language of Communistic and Nazi Propaganda in the Editiorials and Selected Columns of newspaper Rudé právo and the Newspaper Venkov 1941
Bruner, Tomáš ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Röhrich, Alex (referee)
This bachelor thesis compares the language used in the persuasive texts promoting communistic and national-socialistic ideology. After brief introduction the author focuses on key-words in both languages; the word "lid" (people) in the communistic language and the word "národ" (nation) in the national-socialistic language. It compares the way, how those words are used, and the aim which their usage should serve. It deals with those terms as with the means of legitimization, which is achieved through using the strategies of rationalization, universalisation and narrativization. Then, this thesis searches for secondary signification which is connected with those key-words. Furthermore, it investigates the terms with which are those key-words connected. This thesis is based on knowledge of the communistic language, which is in the author's opinion described better. The results of investigation of the national-socialistic language are then compared to the facts known about communistic language.

The boundary-line between the modernist chronicle (crónica) and the short story in the Manuel Gutérrez Nájera's writing
Bejvlová, Barbora ; Vydrová, Hedvika (advisor) ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (referee)
Abstract. Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera is a Mexican author from the late nineteenth century who loved European, especially French culture, even though he never traveled outside his own country. His writing, strongly influenced by these European trends, was originally published in newspapers and magazines. Although he died very young, he left a large number of articles, chronicles, stories, poems and literary critics summarized in several books. The aim of this thesis is to introduce Gutiérrez Najera to the Czech public. In addition to author's detailed biography and summary of his writings, we can find general treatise on Hispanic modernism, its characters, analysis of author's essay El arte y el materialismo, which is considered as the first manifest of this art style by a number of experts. The modernist chronicle is the other topic of this thesis. One of the most significant authors of this genre is Gutiérrez Nájera. The thesis is also dealing with Gutiérrez Nájera's stories. There are four analyses of the chronicle Crónica de color bitter, also of the both cycles of cuaresmas and of the stories La mañana de San Juan and La novela del tranvía. Quotations of primer and secondary resources are present in this thesis. Gutiérrez Najera in not as well-known as some of his modernist colleagues, however he as a...

Out of Asia Minor into Danube Drainage: Phylogeography and colonisation pathways in the loach fish Cobitis strumicae
Majtánová, Zuzana ; Choleva, Lukáš (advisor) ; Reichard, Martin (referee)
The spiny loach Cobitis strumicae is a small bottom-dwelling freshwater fish whose progenitor colonised the Balkan Peninsula from the Near East through the Asia Minor. The current geographic distribution of C. strumicae forms a ring around the Stara Planina (Balkan mountains), inhabitting Danube Basin and coastal rivers of Black Sea and Aegean Sea. Using one marker of mitochondrial DNA (gene for cytochrom b) and one marker of nuclear DNA (S7 gene, first intron), we reconstructed the species distribution and phylogenetic relationship of 44 populations throughout C. strumicae distribution. We also analysed its sister species, C. punctilineata, which lives inside the distribution area of C. strumicae. Aplication of four phylogenetic approaches confirm the monophyly and species statut and endemicity of C. punctilineata, and, moreover, the evidence of secondary hybridization with C. strumicae was found. The network analysis using median-joining method showed deep divergence between the both species. Phylogenetic analyses for cyt b gene confirmed the monophyly of C. strumicae, with internal substructure into at least two well divided lineages, which suggests the process of local speciation. Phylogenetic analyses of S7 gene did not support the monophyly of C. strumicae. Instead, the two separated...

Ecological and evolutionary processes in primary contact zone of cytotypes of Knautia arvensis agg.
Hanzl, Martin ; Urfus, Tomáš (referee) ; Kolář, Filip (advisor)
Genome duplication events have played a crucial role in plant evolution. According to recent estimates, nearly all the angiosperms are ancient polyploids. However, establishment of new polyploid lineages within diploid populations seemed to be very unlikely, based on theoretical analyses. Reproductive interactions between the cytotypes (so-called "minority cytotype exclusion") and resource competition might eventually lead to polyploid extinction. On the other hand, the whole variety of factors may compensate both processes under natural conditions (e.g. autogamy, assorative mating, spatial separation of cytotypes). Polyploid establishment in sympatry with diploid progenitor might thus not be as restricted, as previously thought. Subsequent cytotype coexistence may represent a stable equilibrium, or just a transition leading to extinction of one chromosomal race. It is usually almost impossible to discriminate between these alternatives. Polyploid range expansions are usually accompanied by competitive exclusion of diploid cytotype or colonization of new areas and habitats. When two cytological races meet, zones of contact are often formed. Contact zones could be divided into primary and secondary ones. Primary contact zones arise as a consequence of new polyploid emergence within the progenitor's...

Measuring of Living Standards and Quality of Life
Kadlecová, Jana ; Votava, Libor (advisor) ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of standards of living and quality of life. Both of these concepts are defined and characterized in the performed research of literature. Further the possibilities of standards of living and quality of life measuring are described. In the second part the results of two chosen surveys are described and analy-zed. The first one is Human Development Index, the other is life satisfaction detected during European Quality of Life Survey. Closer description and analyses are focused on European Union, V4 states and Czech republic. The results of secondary analysis are summarized in the tables and graphs.

Floor structurs of both variants are made of steel secondary and primary beams, which are supported by steel columns. Facade and atrium roof cladding is made of glass panels.

The influence of brand on consumer buying behavior
Aliapulios, Telis ; Vokáčová, Lucie (advisor) ; Ludmila, Ludmila (referee)
The diploma thesis concerns with influence of Apple brand on consumer buying behavior. The aim of thesis is to qualify the influence of brand on consumer buying behavior on smartphone market. From this conditions will arise the recommendations to Apple company, how is possible to bolster its position on mobile phone market. The theoretical part of thesis place emphasis on description of marketing mix, brand theory and consumer buying behavior. Practical part is based on studied secondary data. There is detailed description of Apple company its brand building strategy, situation on smartphone market with marketing instruments, that are used on this specific market. Quantitative questionnaire survey performed in electronical form creates a core of the practical part of the thesis and is preceded by qualitative pre-survey on seven iPhone users. Precisely 154 respondents participated on questionnaire survey that observed thoughts and judgements of questioned people about Apple brand. There are included opinions of owners, that own various smartphone brands and also respondents from the group of Apple iPhone users. The responses of both groups are in the chapter of appraisal results and conditions compared along with studied secondary data. These outcomes of questionnaire survey and secondary data are used as a framework to completion several recommendations for Apple brand and the whole company on this market. Almost three quarters of owners, that use all chosen smartphone brands, perceive the prices of Apple smartphones as overly high. Just as the first group evaluates the situation a bit more than half of the iPhone users, although inside this group is a lower sensitivity on Apple products price perception. One of the important recommendation for Apple company is to be more efficient in communication about the adjustment of its smartphone prices and pricing policy towards to consumers across the countries. It is necessary to obtain more consumers from a group of new Apple brand users and students. These expects the offer of cheaper smartphone in high quality medium category. In case of their satisfaction is there scope for Apple to offer them its premium smartphones in the top category.
