Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem životní úrovně a kvality života. V provedené literární rešerši jsou vymezeny a charakterizovány oba pojmy. Dále jsou pak popsány možnosti měření a kvantifikace kvality života a životní úrovně. Ve druhé části práce jsou popsány a analyzovány výsledky vybraných průzkumů. Prvním je Index lidského rozvoje (Human Development Index, HDI) a druhým všeobecná spokojenost se životem zjišťovaná v rámci Evropského průzkumu kvality života (EQLS). U obou je bližší popis a analýza hodnot zaměřena především na státy Evropské unie, země Visegrádské čtyřky a Českou republiku. Výsledky sekundární analýzy jsou shrnuty v tabulkách a grafech a okomentovány. Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of standards of living and quality of life. Both of these concepts are defined and characterized in the performed research of literature. Further the possibilities of standards of living and quality of life measuring are described. In the second part the results of two chosen surveys are described and analy-zed. The first one is Human Development Index, the other is life satisfaction detected during European Quality of Life Survey. Closer description and analyses are focused on European Union, V4 states and Czech republic. The results of secondary analysis are summarized in the tables and graphs.
