Regime of Thunderstorm occurence in Slovakia
Kontrošová, Jana ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor)
4 Abstract The subject matter of my thesis is the regime of thunderstorm occurrence in Slovakia. In the theoretic part of my work, I deal with thunderstorm categorization, condition of its creation and development and with side-effect phenomena. I also mention continentality of climate, which is linked with disintegration and occurrence of days of thunderstorms and thunderstorms. In the practical part, I focus on statistic analysis of number of days of thunderstorms and thunderstorms at the Irish meteorological station Valentia, which represents ocean climate and at 5 Slovak meteorological stations with continental climate in the period of 1961 - 2006 or 2007. I study the trend during years, months, seasons and number of thunderstorm phenomena at the stations, while comparing principles of oceanic and continental climate in the context of thunderstorms and days of thunderstorms occurrence. The main object of my thesis it to define thunderstorm season at each station by method of cumulative series designed by I. Sládek. Conventionally specified seasons do not always match reality. By this method, it is able to determine the natural beginning, end and duration of seasons according to selected climatological parameter. The thunderstorm season at Slovak meteorological stations usually begins at 3rd of May, ends...

Karyotype evolution of velvet spiders (Araneae: Eresidae)
Forman, Martin ; Král, Jiří (advisor) ; Rothová, Olga (referee)
Presented study is aimed to determine basic trends of karyotype evolution in velvet spiders (Eresidae; Araneae). Eresids are burrowing spiders; they includes also some social species. Karyotypes of 16 species of the family Eresidae as well as 2 species of the other families of the superfamily Eresoidea, Hersiliidae and Oecobiidae, are presented. Furthermore, DNA content and base proportion was determined in 14 species. In two species, DNA content of sex chromosomes was also measured. Obtained results revealed considerable variability of diploid numbers, and sex chromosomes systems in eresids. Obtained karyotype data allow to divide eresids into four groups. Karyotypes of the genera Gandanameno, Dresserus and S. lineatus are close to proposed ancestral karyotype of entelegynae spiders and they show the ancestral state of karyotype in velvet spiders. Karyotypes of S. lineatus and E. annulipes differ substantially from other representatives of the genera Stegodyphus and Eresus which indicates paraphyly of these genera. Karyotypes of basal forms are formed by acrocentric chromosomes. Further evolution of eresid karyotypes included considerable reduction of diploid numbers as well as changes of chromosome morphology. Social species of the genus Stegodyphus show tendency to reduce diploid numbers by...

New trends in internet marketing communication -- social network Facebook
Eisenmann, Jan ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zimová, Štěpánka (referee)
Theme of my bachelor thesis is "New trends in internet marketing communication -- social network Facebook". Theoretical part is focused on describing those new trends -- like viral marketing, Web 2.0 and it's major tools (social media, RSS, wikis, social networks). And also I try to set the shift from old to new media into context of wider economical changes. Important source of information were books and works of Mark Earls about "herd" substance of human behavior as well as Seth Godin's PULL principle. On those two, I wanted to show important features of internet and how it is changing the communication between people and companies. In practical part I went through possible ways of marketing communication on platform of social network Facebook. Important role play banners, Facebook Beacon and in the future Engagement Ads. Their biggest strength is the ability to target commercial messages to audience very precisely. But there are also indirect forms of communication channels like Facebook Pages or Facebook Groups on Facebook. These are based on enthusiasm of fans of the brand and for companies they offer great source of insights and data for marketing research or even place for co-creation with their loyal customer core. Last, but according to many marketers very potential, forms of marketing on Facebook, are applications with incorporated brands. These applications are very fast growing business. Facebook seems to be very popular and engaging medium to address especially young audience, that doesn't pay so much attention to old means of communication.

The data obtained has been used in the various steps of green services strategic marketing framework in Czech circumstances.

Energy Conception of Czech Republic - coal as the most important domestic energy resource
Lepeltová, Radka ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
The state energy conception sets the direction in energy industry and outlines main instruments and trends in this area. The priority of the state energy conception is to reach energy security of the country, which can be ensured by more energy resources of the fuel mix. The main component of the domestic energy mix is brown coal, which is mostly used in brown coal electric works for generating electric energy and heat. Coal mining is and was one of the main elements of Czech Republic's national industry, but there are also negative ecological impacts connected with coal winning. Further coal mining is restricted by so-called territorial ecological limits for brown coal mining that protect the environment and community against the mining consequences. Many of the brown coal supplies can, however, also in future represent an important energy resource, which will enable security, production independence and price availability of energy. At work is further explanation of the limits and progress of breaking the limits. Other energy resources are nuclear energy and renewable energy resources, whose importance rises and which contribute to a balanced energy mix.

Advertising and children: on the critical literacy of elementary schools' pupils
Vobecká, Alena ; Pacovská, Jasňa (referee) ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with the commercial communication, mainly its relation to audience of children. It investigates how Czech school children are able to perceive, receive, and evaluate the communitation with advertisements. The introductory section on the features of the advertisement consists of its definition, history, how it ranks within mass, or more precisely, commercial communication. lt investigates the trends in the current commercial discourse including the criticism of advertisements and the fact that the importance of children as a target group is increasing. The work overviews the legislative arrangements dealing with the impact of advertisements on child' s perception. Furthermore it focuses on children and their specific reception of advertisements which causes their defencelessness towards them, and summarizes American research on this topic. Our research itself focuses on single abilities which represent the ways for critical reception of commercial texts. We investigated the level of children' s ability to identify the advertisements. We tried to find a level of their knowledge of advertisements. In addition we explored their attitude to the purpose of advertisements in general and their ability to understand their texts and strategies. At the same time, we examined how the rate of this...

Clipping from the word-formation, word-class, stylistic/register, semantic and translational perspectives
Skala, Richard ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Klégr, Aleš (advisor)
The analysis confirms the general findings of the authors dealing with the process of clippings. The trends which the thesis confirms are: Back-clipping is the most frequent type of clipping, the other types are rare. Clippings are mostly created from nouns. Plain clippings are mostly mono- or disyllabic and they mostly respect the syllable divisions in the base. This means that plain clippings are mostly created from the first syllable of the base. Clippings are mostly colloquial/informal. What the thesis adds is the precise expression of the proportions of the individual features and also the identification of the different motivation behind the creation of embellished clippings. In other words, the analysis shows that embellished clippings differ from plain clippings not only on formal grounds, i.e. the presence of the suffix, but also in other features: embellished clippings have more often an adjectival base, they are more often stylistically marked, more often slang, more often regionally specific and less often specific for a subject field. This shows that embellished clippings are trendy, created to attract attention, part of the substandard language and that the ingroup status is even intensified in embellished clippings. Medial clipping, as a minor type of clipping is established alongside...
