The analysis of the introduction of cash registers to the business environment and the state budget
Zubíčková, Aneta ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Hudík, Marek (referee)
The issue of cash registers has recently been updated in the Czech Republic. Their introduction assumes the elimination of the shadow economy through an increase in reported sales for business entites, who are forced to use it. Regression analysis has not demonstrated a direct effect of the cash registers on the level of reported revenues. Cash registers represent an additional burden on businesses and make conditions for doing a business more difficult. In the year of introduction of cash registers the number of business entities has decreased, while the number of civil servants has increased. The direct effect of cash registers on the development of tax revenue of the state budget could not be demonstrated due to lack of relevant data.

Covariance extension of Chain-ladder method
Žváčková, Lenka ; Marek, Luboš (advisor) ; Hasil, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with technical reserves in non-life insurance, in particular with provisions for future claim payments for damages that have occurred, but has not yet been reported to the insurance company. This type of provision is known by the acronym IBNR. After the introductory section containing a general introduction to the issue of claims reserving in non-life insurance different approaches to modeling of IBNR reserves are briefly presented. Subsequently, full attention is given to Chain-ladder method, which is most frequently used in the actuarial practise for the purpose of claims reserving. This method is then presented progressively from its simplest form of a simple computing algorithm followed by Mack's stochastic model to the last theoretical part of this part describing extended form of Chain-ladder method with relations between different groups of insurance portfolio included. In the very last section, all the lessons are demonstrated on real data to give readers an idea of how the process of claims reserving works is in the common actuarial practice.

Use of Business Intelligence with web analysis of an electronic store
Erlebach, Jakub ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Maryška, Miloš (referee)
In the time of recent economic crisis is more than ever difficult to keep old and find new customers. Along with the growth of sales on the Internet there are also a growing number of competitors, which want their share of the market pie. The aim of this thesis is to use technologies and processes of Business Intelligence with web analysis of an electronic store in order to get new information and knowledge that should later on help with overcoming the two mentioned problems most companies running an internet business are today dealing with. In the first, theoretical part of this thesis there are described basic principles and processes of search engine optimization in term of both users and search engines. Next chapter follows the theory of web analysis. There are also described general as well as own selection criteria of the web analysis tool. Upon these criteria there are these tools described and evaluated. Last theoretical chapter deals with Business Intelligence, in particular with a data warehouse theory and with a process of a BI project. Introduction to the practical part is formed by a description of a current e-shop situation. In this part there is also mentioned current architecture solution, standing of the firm and its future vision. On the basis of selected web analysis tool and theoretical knowledge described in previous chapters there is than designed concrete solution and described process of its implementation, some of its outputs and also its costs. The main contribution of this thesis I see in gaining new and otherwise hardly accessible reports about the visit rate, which should ease and improve the process of website optimization and therefore help the company to strengthen its market position. Another contribution would be in demonstration of the BI implementation on a small business scale also with its cost accounting.

"Is it Rational to Believe in God?". Epistemology, Metaphysics and Method in the Works of Bernard Lonergan
Nevrkla, Svatopluk ; Noble, Ivana (advisor) ; Kranát, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate interrelatedness between various concepts of God and metaphysical assumptions from which they have been derived. This will be done with special attention paid to philosophical work of Bernard Lonergan. On Lonergan's case I will show his solution of problematic presuppositions of scholastic understanding of God. In introduction I will summarize reasons that made me to choose this topic, goals of the thesis and methods I will use. First chapter will be dedicated to brief introduction of selected proofs of God's existence and their metaphysical premises on which they rest. Enlightenment critique of metaphysics will be described and its consequences for metaphysical proofs demonstrated. Second chapter will introduce context and goals of works of modern Canadian Jesuit theologian Bernard Joseph Francis Lonergan and his concepts of judgement and selfXaffirmation. Third chapter will be concerned with description of Lonergan's metaphysics and finally with some criticism of Lonergan's approach from perspective of postXmodern, hermeneutic, and linguistic philosophies. In conclusion I will confront Lonergan's results with older philosophies mentioned. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Kociánová, Natálie ; Sovová, Olga (advisor) ; Císařová, Dagmar (referee)
Thesis title: CRIMINAL LIABILITY OF PHYSICIANS IN GYNECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS The purpose of my diploma thesis is to analyse the issue of criminal liability of physicians, especially physicians in Gynecology and Obstetrics. The thesis is divided into five main chapters and many subchapters. The first chapter serves as an introduction to the legal liability in general. I mention the categories of liability- civil and labour liability are just noticed in this task, while administrative and disciplinary liability are discussed and defined. The aim is to compare these liability in healthcare and emphasize the ultima ratio principle of criminal liability. Chapter Two defines relevant concepts of medical law. This chapter deals with the concept of acting lege artis, acting non lege artis, informed consent of patient and advance directives. These concepts are demonstrated on examples from practice and related jurisprudence. I also define the specilization of Gynecology and Obstetrics and its legislation. The third chapter explains basic terms and concepts connected with criminal liability and define the necessary conditions and circumstances for physicians to commit a crime. The second section of this chapter focuses on circumstances under which some normally unlawful acting might not be considered illegal....

Taxation of employment income in the Czech republic and Great Britain
Zemanová, Tereza ; Tepperová, Jana (advisor) ; Trgiňa, Gejza (referee)
The aim of this thesis within the theoretical and comparative part to identify the similarities and differences in the taxation of income from employment in the Czech Republic and Great Britain in the context of structural components and on the basis of facts to determine any recommendations for the Czech Republic, whose introduction could have positive impact on the resulting tax burden or, conversely, find and highlight solutions that are applied in the Czech tax system. The application will demonstrate these differences and specifics on examples aimed to seek lower tax liability for a selected amount of income tax and show the way of taxation of income from employment.

Cost-effectiveness of vaccination against the bacteria Neisseria meningitidis B in children aged 0-4 years
Kříž, David ; Pažitný, Peter (advisor) ; Kandilaki, Daniela (referee)
After many years of research have been developed, and then in January 2013 approved by the European Medicines Agency new multicomponent vaccine against meningococcal disease Group B Bexsero from Novartis. Meningococcal disease, because of its rapid progression and tragic consequences, a very dangerous disease. The aim of my thesis was to try to quantify the impact on the costs and benefits of the introduction of vaccination for the most vulnerable groups, namely children after birth to 4 years of age, by comparing the hypothetical vaccinated and unvaccinated cohorts. The work itself has not demonstrated at today's prices and epidemiological data Bexsero vaccines, cost efficiency. However, at a reduced cost or increased incidence of cases appear to vaccination Bexsero as well utilized resources.
