KISS: Interpreter's strategy during the interpreting into the mother tongue and into the B language

This thesis focuses on the topic of the KISS strategy ("Keep it short and simple") as a hypothetical ideal solution for simultaneous interpreting into the active language. The purpose of this theoretical and empirical study is to describe the issue of interpreting into the active language (B language) and the strategies used in simultaneous interpreting, with emphasis on the KISS strategy. The paper is divided into two parts: theoretical part and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we set up the working hypothesis that we will confirm or disprove in the empirical part. We suppose that the KISS strategy is the ideal and predominant mechanism used for interpreting into the B language. The "retour" or interpretation into the active foreign language presents one of the most discussed topics on the field of interpretation theory. For a long time, Western Europe has been under the influence of the Interpretive Theory of Translation based at the ESIT in Paris. The Interpretive Theory of Translation was followed by many theoreticians and practicians who considered the "retour" to be a non-standard or even inadmissible direction of interpreting. The situation changed after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the onset of the globalization, and the interpretation into the B language has gradually become an everyday...

The Russia's entry into the World Trade Organization and its effects

This work treats of the Russia's entry into the World Trade Organization. The first section is focusing on the purposes, the entry's objectives and its effects on the Russian economy. This section also takes a close look on all aspects of the Russia's entry process. The second section analyzes the Russian foreign trade with the main business partners, its development, its structure and the countries positions on the Russia's entry into the World Trade Organization. The last section is about the entry's problems and perspectives. At the end I summarized all the sections and outlined the possible future.

Japan and new regionalism

Japan is one of the most developed and strongest countries in the world. It is a member of many international organizations and it is becoming more and more active within regional integrations, too. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to follow the evolution of Japanese attitude towards regionalism, based on an analysis of its foreign policy and economic relations. The first chapter explains basic terms and theoretical background of regionalism and outlines the evolution of regionalism in Asia. The second chapter follows Japan in the stage of old regionalism, that is until the end of the 1980s. It concentrates on the post-war development of Japan and consolidation of mutual relations with its neighbours. The third chapter describes Japanese approach to regional integrations in the stage of new regionalism. It tries to explain the reasons for which Japan started to play a more active role in regional integrations and it outlines Japanese relations with several selected partners.

Switzerland and its attitude towards the european integration

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and to asses the reasons and causes of the Swiss attitude towards the european integration and to adumbrate the future development of this attitude with regard to the future development of the relations between EU and Switzerland during the economic crisis. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter characterises Switzerland politically a economically. It emphasises the influence of the direct democracy and political parties on government decisions. It describes the Swiss economy in light of macroeconomic indicators, then the sectors of economy, Swiss balance of payments and especially the foreign trade and the trading relations to the EU including the commodity structure. The second chapter deals with the main reasons of the negative attitude of Switzerland towards the regional integrations, characterises Switzerland as a member of the EFTA and focuses on the actual development of the bilateral relations to the EU. The third chapter describes the effects of the financial crisis on the Swiss economy and its impact on the future development of the relations to the EU.

Development of the state system of the Byzantine Empire

100 Resumé: This diploma paper discuss about development of the state system of the Byzantine Empire in context with many changes of the form and extension of its territory. Primary are analysed relations between basic powers of the state and changes of their positions. Basic powers are means emperor, army and Church. Secondary senate, demoi and civil and military aristocracy. First chapter talk about territory evolution and about changes of the foreign and political relations of the empire. It primary serves like a illustartion of compilcated standing of the empire and also many important chnages of the territory and its ethnical structure of the state. These circumstances constituted a big problem for state administration. Second chapter attend to development of the state administration with special intent on the "theme system". Especially on its origins and downfall. Author also try to find context between decline and fall of the empire and administration of the state. In the third chapter is analysed successional system of byzantine emperors, especially its negative aspects. Investment climate in Vietnam

My thesis focuses on the analysis of the investment climate in Vietnam. It includes seven chapters: legal environment of investment, institutional frame of investment, investment incentives and subsidies, procedures for the issue of investment certificate in Vietnam, foreign direct investment in Vietnam, efficiency of investment policy in Vietnam. My thesis is treated using descripvive and analytical method. The aim of my thesis is analyzing the investment climate in Vietnam completely. Its benefits lie on the evaluation of the efficiency of the vietnamese investment climate.

Monetary policy and exchange rate commitment of the Czech National Bank

The main goal of this thesis is to value the effect of the exchange rate policy of the Czech National Bank on the internal economy. In this case, exchange rate policy means the introduction of foreign exchange intervention, which was joined by the Czech National Bank in November 2013. In the theoretical part is the most attention paid to the foreign exchange market, foreign-exchange interventions, which are among the indirect monetary policy instruments. There are also described the functions and roles of the central bank. In the practical part of the thesis is an analysis of macroeconomic developments in the Czech Republic and other selected European countries. There is the comparation which allows to evaulate the realized exchange rate policy of the Czech National Bank. This part of the thesis are also discussed possibilities deadline for the completion of the exchange rate commitment and its form. The last chapter includes opinions of respected economists and organizations on exchange interventions.

Occupational relations with a foreign subject

The Master s thesis presents and summarizes problematic areas of the Czech legislation related to the occupational relations with a foreign subject. Essential literature used for this purpose were Employment of foreigners and sending employees and self-employed abroad. 2nd update. ed. written by P. Boušková and International employment, posting and hiring workers, 1st edition, written by L. Rytířová and J. Teperové. However it was necessary to draw on bilateral agreements and legislation, both Czech and international. The content has been structured into five main chapters, the first one is devoted to the legal regulation of occupational relations with a foreign subject, the second chapter contains analysis of labor migration and its problems. The third and fourth delineated a structure of employment and social security. Final chapter is devoted to the migration of Czech citizens abroad. The various major chapters have been divided into subchapters which followed the different parts of the main topic in detail.

Potential of trade between the Czech Republic and India – possibilities of its promotion

In the diploma thesis, author focuses on the state of the Indian economy and the position of India in the foreign trade of the Czech Republic. Firstly, local specifics and current changes (after 2014 elections) are outlined. Afterwards, an analysis of the India's position in international relations, its foreign trade relations and the intensity of mutual trade with the Czech Republic is propounded. The third chapter deals with the Czech system of trade promotion, including a description of its institutional structure and relation to the Czech export destined to India. In the last part of the thesis, author provides readers with a case study of selected Czech companies operating in the Indian market. The aim is to evaluate the possibilities and limits of bilateral trade and investment exchange promotion.
