Adamcová, Kristina ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Skokanová, Dagmar (referee)
The main topic of my Bachelor's thesis is to describe the influence that mass media has on the perception of the human body, especially in young women. Initially discussed here are the various kinds of media exposure including TV, newspapers, magazines and now the Internet. The paper also examines the influence of body image on politics and politicians' appearance. As well as the influence of body image on children's programming whose affects in many ways already shape future generations. Based on questionnaires the most attractive celebrities were selected and divided into categories. There are a total of seven categories each both for men and women. Furthermore, connections were derived between these celebrities and demographic data such as age, gender, education and the size of city in which they live. The paper then looks for a pattern between the skin tone of the celebrities chosen and the respondents preferred skin tone. Whether the respondent thought that young people are more attractive than old people and whether they thought that current society pressures people to be physically attractive is analyzed. The final question, whether people would support the promotion of "real beauty", along with all other questions were compared to the selection of celebrities.

Economic analysis of factors that influence women's decision of having children
Dušátková, Klára ; Svoboda, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kovanda, Lukáš (referee)
This thesis explores effects of chosen factors on fertility of women in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2010. Part of my thesis is brief description of legislative framework of fertility issues and also description of demographic course in our country. The choice of factors is based on economic articles and books from world's authors. It is tested by using the regression analysis, how the fertility rate is influenced by the number of married women, the number of university-educated women, the unemployment rate of women, the value of social benefits paid for one child and the number of years since 1989. It was find, that the fertility rate grows with increasing number of university-educated women and with decreasing unemployment rate of women. Effect of the social benefits seems to be insignificant. Remaining factors were left out from my model because of multicollinearity.

Tens of thousands of people, namely 25 % of men and 10 % of women suffer from alcohol addiction in the Czech Republic. The first part of the Bachelor Thesis characterizes general attributes of addiction and alcoholism as such. The main part of the work and the research are focused on women?s alcoholism. The research was performed in cooperation with 5 patients treated for alcohol addiction in the Psychiatric Clinic Červený Dvůr. The tested group of patients was monitored for less than 3 months. The aim of the work was to monitor the influence of therapeutic physical training on physical and mental health of women abstaining from alcohol. Three research questions were asked: Will the overall fitness of abstaining women improve after taking twenty training units? Will the women feel better after the training? Will regular exercise influence the sleep regime of the abstaining women? The exercises were focused on improvement of condition and balance, relaxation exercises. Semi-structured interview with the women and monitoring were involved to examine the effect. The data were processed by means of qualitative content analysis. Improvement of fitness depending on the number of the undertaken exercise units was seen in all the patients. The balance abilities, which also more or less improved, relate to the fitness. The results of the questionnaires filled in by the patients during the research to examine the effect of the exercises on sleep showed that the exercises within the research had no influence on the sleep regime. All the patients were instructed in home exercising followed by kinesiotherapy. A control group of five women treated from alcohol addiction not participating in the exercises was chosen for examination of the exercise effect. Upon positive replies to the first two research questions, and comparison of the values measured in the research group and those measured in the control group the positive influence of therapeutic physical training on physical and mental health of women abstaining from alcohol may be confirmed. This work will serve as an input for consideration of permanent integration of physiotherapy in complex therapy of women treated for alcoholism.

Perception of Ideal Beauty
Ticháková, Zuzana ; Zamazalová, Marcela (advisor) ; Skokanová, Dagmar (referee)
Media broadcast every day a huge number of signals and messages that affect us, without we are aware of them. In most cases it is about a distorted reality, which seems like real reality. This, from my point of view, affect the self-confidence of current women - with a different hair colour, skin colour, with different proportions. When they are facing perfection that the media present, they feel mean and unhappy with their bodies. By analyzing data from a marketing database and created questionnaire I will try to confirm this hypothesis. In conclusion then I will propose procedures that could reduce these negative impacts or at least reduce them. It is necessary to extend the idea of real beauty and displace untouchable perfection, on which responds still younger girls. Looking back to past, we discover that before Twiggy had become famous, was respected the exact opposite of female beauty. She was the one, who started an endless hunt for the extreme slimness, which brought problems with eating disorders.
