Integration of cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work into educational system in economic fields of education

The dissertation is focused on cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work in economic fields of education and its integration into the educational system. The theoretical part is devoted to information on the general and school education programs, cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work, its history and its inclusion in school curricula and teaching. The practical part is aimed to analyze the completed achievement tests and questionnaires by students of business academies and interpretation of the results with subsequent own proposals for the integration of cross-curricular curriculum Man and the world of work into the educational system in economic fields of education.

Contribution of VS LSS projects for the knowledge development in an organization

The thesis studies the potential contribution of projects of Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma Specialization for the knowledge development in the participating organizations. Students taking class in compulsory subject Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma Practical were participating in those projects. Mentors from participating organizations were interviewed. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history and selected tools of Lean Management. The significance of continuous improvement, as an integral part of Lean Management, is discussed. The thesis describes knowledge management and selected models of knowledge creation and transfer. The practical part includes a description of an employed methodology and interviews results. The thesis concludes a proposal of changes that can result in improvement of projects contribution for the knowledge development in the participating organizations.

Taxation of Dividends

The thesis deals with taxation of dividend income that is being paid out from or to the Czech Republic. It gives an insight into the international tax regulations and their impact on the Czech legislation. The thesis focuses on the definition of dividends and relevant tax procedures. Furthermore, it makes an assessment based on practical scenarios, on the extent of tax burden of persons, Czech tax residents that receive dividends; and the impact on Czech tax revenues in connection with dividend payout to different countries.

Goodwill in mergers

The diploma thesis is focused on goodwill, which can occur during mergers of companies in the Czech Republic. The beginning of the theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the term goodwill, summary of the history of that accounting item and explanation of the types of business transformations. It is followed by comprehensive description of recognition and reporting of goodwill and valuation difference on acquired assets in accounting during domestic mergers. The thesis is supplemented by references to specific statutory regulations relating to the manner and timing of the recognition of these items. The whole thesis is focused exclusively on mergers in the Czech Republic. The application part contains information about research and analysis of selected domestic mergers realized in years 2012 and 2013. The most important conclusion of the analysis is that goodwill occurs very rarely during mergers in the Czech Republic.

Acting in theater and in front of camera

This thesis is about acting in theater or in front of camera. At the beginning it is focused to these directions individually and later summarizes their differences, which include: what function the audience has; what options of movement the performer has; what style direction the actor uses; what the difference of collaborations between actors on the stage or in front of the camera have.It talks about the different approach of directors and self-expressions of actors and analyzes the different effects that each actor during their performance. It doesn’t only talk about the differences, but also includes the inter-connections of both styles. The next part is focused on creating a character and comparison of current and passed actors that were acting in theater as well as in movies. The conclusion is about my personal acting experience in film and in theater. It evaluates my work at the school theater DISK and also asses the transition to my advanced work.

Social networks and new media

This bachelor thesis shares light on new media in the world we live in today, while focusing specifically on social networks. The theoretical part of the thesis is meant to describe selected networks from the most common types of social networks. This portion also includes their history of creation and development up to present days. Attention is primarily given to existing advertising formats and marketing strategies. The practical part of this thesis is concentrated on the effectiveness and advertisement of a particular organization who advertises through social networking sites. It also includes an advertising campaign proposals and recommendations for the other selected network sites.

Foreigns nationals interned in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis describes foreign nationals imprisoned in the Czech Republic with more detailed focus on the characteristics of the selected groups. Based on the analysis, characterization and expert examination gives a comprehensive view on this issue and to help you navigate not only the interested persons. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the Prison service of the Czech Republic as an institution, its role, structure and organization system. It also deals with the history and its evolution to the present time. It provides a comprehensive insight into the issue of foreigners in the Czech Republic, legislative regulation and crime. For purposes of this research work have been selected group of foreign nationals imprisoned in the Czech Republic, which are closer to the theoretical part, characterized, distributed and investigated. Analytical part is focused on analysis of selected data, and layout (for clarity) into several sections, which always include one area of research interest of the issue. This section is arranged graphs providing an overview on the development of individual indicators. In conclusion there is summary assessment and recommendations to individual areas of research.

Potential of Technical Monuments of South Bohemia in Tourism

This thesis is focused on tourism and especially on technical monuments and their possible use in tourism. In the thesis there are mentioned some definition of tourism from different world's writers. Following part is focused on typology of tourism. Potential of turism with factors is described in next chapter. Following chapter is about monuments and care of the monuments. Next chapter is about technical monuments and about form of their possible use in tourism. The opening chapter of the second part of the thesis introduces the most important places with regard to tourism in the Czech republic and Southern Bohemia in the last few years. Another part deals with significant monuments of technical history in Southern Bohemia. The last few chapters are dedicated to technical monuments that can be visited during two suggested three-day trips in Southern Bohemia. Both trips are described in details including the cost calculation.

The influence of Asian culture on business- case study of Chinese culture

Topic of the thesis is to explain the influence of Asia culture on doing business, specifically focused on Chinese market. It analyses cultural differences and points out the importance of culture in business. In the theoretical part, the most important factors as well as all cultural influential factors are mentioned. Definition of culture itself is presented together with basic cultural elements and differeces among cultures. Further on, cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede, one of the eminent world culture-scientist, are described, specifically focused on interaction among different cultures and organisational cultures. Practical part then puts more emphasis on the Chinese business culture itself. Topics such as business negotiation differences are starting the practical part, followed by behaviour patterns after coming to China and meeting future business partners with Chinese roots. After explanation of all the basic differences " on the first sight", author goes more into details and explains detailed differences connected with traditions, rules and all other necessary information about how to behave in the Chinese business enviroment. Thesiś focuses on all formal collective behaviour concepts, which are very important in the Chinese culture as well as its history and philosophy, which influences both their personal and professional life every day.

Costs and benefits of the privatization process in a period of transition economy in the Czech Republic since 1990

The Czech Republic went through transformation of economy in the 90s. The key part of this proces was privatisation. It became the most important political economy proces in the history of the Czech Republic. The privatisation proces especially the nonstandard voucher privatisation is still important topic of public, politics and economic discussion. Purpose of this thesis is to evaulate the privatisation proces in the terms of its revenues and costs. The first chapter is focused on the economic history of privatisation ideas and its use in political practice. The main part is devoted to the analysis of the privatization process in the Czech Republic. Evaluated are the various methods of privatisation and the process as a whole. The final two chapters are focused on the comparison of the Czech privatization processes with the same processes in Hungary and Poland. Evaluated is the speed of the privatization process, the fiscal impacts and impact on the development of selected macroeconomic indicators. The working hypothesis was confirmed: The proceeds of the privatization process exceeded its costs.
