Strategic Analysis of an Enterprise
Petrová, Alena ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Martenek, Milan (referee)
I chose the topic: Strategic Analysis of the Firm for my diploma work. In this work, I devote myself to the hotel of Atom***, which has its seat in the street of Velkomeziříčská in Třebíč. I chose this firm, especially because I have been working here as a waitress and receptionist for a part-time job; I have access to information, and I know the environment in which the hotel is situated. The main purpose of the work was to analyze an external environment and mainly to focus on the competition being situated in this town. My alternate purpose was to find out whether potential customers are aware of the hotel and whether existing customers are satisfied with the services being offered. To reach these purposes, I used an internal and external analysis from whose results I made a SWOT analysis. I used the PEST analysis, industry analysis and Porter's five competitive forces model for the external analysis. Further, I used marketing research that helped to reach the alternative purpose and to complete previous analyses in particular. Since the hotel of Atom has no strategy, being apparently defined, I can tell that as a matter of fact, the strategy in itself does not exist. In the final chapter, I therefore suppose a certain strategy and specific operative measurements that will lead to the fulfilment of the vision existing only in subconsciousness of the hotel keeper.

Legal Development of the Slovak Republic 1939-1945
Poslední kapitola zachycuje jednu z nejsmutnějších a nejostudnějších skutečností slovenských dějin, protižidovské...

Letáčková, Tereza ; Rovná, Lenka (advisor) ; Studničná, lenka (referee)
Turkey is a country lying on the frontier of Europe and Asia. Its borders reached to Europe for many centuries in the past, however, then as a frontiers of hostile intruder. Nowadays, Turkey intentions are different. Turkey wants to become full-fledged member state of the EU and contribute to the development of the European society. Have we overcome the prejudice of the past? Is our society advanced enough to accept a country with distinct culture and religion? This question is very topical today. It has been discussed in media on daily basis, either on governmental or European level. Discussion shows, however, certain helplessness or apprehension, mainly regarding to the general public. Will politicians succeed in convincing the European public opinion about the rightness of such a step? There are many exceptions coming either from politicians or European citizens. It is necessary to answer following questions; is Turkey ready for entering the EU? Is the European Union ready for Turkey? This thesis focuses on investigating stances, which are both pro and con the Turkish EU membership. It characterizes and analyses the major reservations of general public, opinions of supporters and opponents; and it should help to create own attitude toward this topic. The thesis aims to analyze the sources of...

I chose only the taxes, which significantly influence the business decision. In the third chapter, I realized the comparison of all described facts and tried to find relations between the investigated countries each other, as well as between the every single indicator (e. g. if the business environment depends on the macroeconomic environment, etc.).

Described methods include study of mosses and liverworts; hornworts are not included due to the fact that their epiphytic form is not known. There are five chapters in this thesis, all of them are primarily focused on description of basic or most useful methods for studying phenology, growth, bioindication and environmental conditions, e.g. light and water relationship measurement as well as bark pH measurement. The last one, "Forms and Strategies", is only terminological and it includes terms of life and growth forms and life strategy which are used in studying colonies of bryophytes.

Czech Jesuit friary abolishment. Collective biography of the former elite (1773-1800).
Šotola, Jaroslav ; Maur, Eduard (advisor) ; Svatoš, Martin (referee) ; Mikulec, Jiří (referee)
This doctoral thesis deals with the suppression of the old Society of Jesus and its consequences. While the Czech historiography has either marginalised or approached the issue of the status of religious order in the early modern society rather schematically, focusing on pure facts and figures, this dissertation attempts to overcome this methodological inadequacy by employing the "theory of practice" introduced by Pierre Bourdieu, a French sociologist and anthropologist.

The sea theme in modern Greek literature
Frontzová, Kateřina ; Dostálová, Růžena (advisor) ; Čapková, Sylvi (referee)
The purpose of my Bachelor thesis is to analyze the motif of the sea in Modern Greek literature, particularly in prose. I have chosen this topic for it combines linguistics with literature. The sea plays a great part in the life of the Greeks and I find it very interesting how Greek writers reflect this fact in their works. The thesis is composed of three chapters. Introductory chapter outlines historical development of sea-voyage and summarizes appearance of the sea theme in the Ancient and Byzantine literature. Chapter Two illustrates motifs of the sea voyages and nautical theme in realistic works of Modern Greek writers of the 20th century. Chapter Three deals with two novels written by authors of the Generation of 30's and influenced by the Asia Minor Disaster. This chapter consists of four parts. Part One examines The Mermaid Madonna by Stratis Myrivilis. Part Three investigates Elias Venezis' Aeolian Earth. Both of them used in their novels legends of mermaids. Part Two provides a comparison between their different approaches to the particular legend. In those three parts I focus on figurative language and distinctive style of these authors in selected passages closely connected with the sea theme. The last part of the third chapter is dedicated to Greek fairytales which had great impact on...
