Determination of osmotic active products of oligoester carriers degradation
Faukner, Antonín ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
This work deals with interaction of oligoester carriers based on DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid, with hydrophilic medium. The interaction results with phenomena of degradation, erosion and swelling of delivery system. The purpose of this work was to quantify water soluble, high osmotically active degradation products generated via hydrolysis in the matrices, and to find a connection between concentration of degradation products and changes of swelling in time. There were experiments with four types of branched polymers, which differ in branching unit and its concentration. There were chosen delivery systems, where in the three week observation outstanding maximum of swelling grade was expected. This method included gravimetric monitoring of erosion and swelling of matrices and alkalimetric quantifying of acid degradation products. The last parameter was obtained by the separation of hydrophilic and lipophilic fractions of matrices between organic and aqueous phase. Narrow correlation between matrices swelling and concentration of hydrophilic oligoesters generated in matrices was proven.

Period copies of Mozart's operas in the music collection of the Premonstratensian monastery in Prague in Strahov
Jonášová, Milada ; Volek, Tomislav (advisor) ; Ottlová, Marta (referee) ; Sehnal, Jiří (referee)
The present dissertation thesis is the result of a several years lasting research of Bohemical Mozart sources, which had been started after my discovery of a hitherto unknown set of scores of Mozart's works in the musical collection of the Premonstratensian monastery at Strahov in 2001. As this set of sources is of a surprising scope and processing them all in detail is going to require some more years of work, this dissertation thesis focuses on one of the key groups of sources, namely those to Mozart's operas. The examination of these sources had to be set into the current context of the international Mozart research. To do this, it was necessary to compare the Strahov copies page-by-page both with the autographs and other relevant period copies. The comparisons were made with autographs deposited in Berlin, Krakow and Paris as well as period copies in Berlin, Dresden, Munich, Karlsruhe, Vienna, Salzburg, Zurich, Brno and Prague. The outcome of this comparative work was then confronted with the latest critical edition, Neue Mozart Ausgabe as well as separately published critical commentaries to the relevant volumes.

The first chapter summarizes the known facts about the Strahov Monastery of the Premonstratensian Order as a cultural centre and its musical tradition. A description of the musical collection...

Tectonic evolution of the Mariánské Lázně Complex and of surrounding units
Hafoudh, Shumran ; Konopásek, Jiří (advisor) ; Franěk, Jan (referee)
Tectonic evolution of the western margin of the Bohemian Massif is the result of southeastward Devonian subduction of the Saxothuringian Ocean followed by collision of the Saxothuringian continental crust with the easterly lying Teplá-Barrandian Domain during early Carboniferous (e.g. Franke 2000). Northwestern flank of the Teplá Barrandian Domain is represented by mafic and ultramafic rocks of the Mariánské Lázně Complex usually considered as an ophiolite complex documenting the closure of the Saxothuringian Ocean (e.g. Kastl &Tonika, 1984, Beard et al., 1994). Mariánské Lázně Complex is in the NW thrust over medium-grade metabasites and metasediments of the Kladská Unit with suggested Saxothuringian affinity (Kachlík, 1993), and in the SE it is overthrust by medium- to highgrade metasediments of the Teplá Complex (Cháb & Žáček, 1994). Geochronological data show that the northwestern flank of the Teplá-Barrandian Domain was exhumed already during Upper Devonian (Dallmeyer & Urban, 1998) and suggest apparent lack of deformation and metamorphism associated with Carboniferous collision. Our study has concentrated on structural record along the profile from the Kladská Unit to the Teplá Complex in order to separate structures produced during Devonian subduction and exhumation from those developed during...

Application of novel stationary phases for HPLC determination of neopterine and other metabolites in urine.
Prokopová, Veronika ; Nováková, Lucie (referee) ; Solich, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to compare the separative options of different types of chromatographic columns for the determination of neopterin, kynurenine, creatinine and uric acid in urine samples with the method that is currently used in the Research laboratory of the Department of Methabolic Care and Gerontology, Teaching Hospital in Hradec Kralove. Basic, already developed and validated method was High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) on reversed-phase column Gemini 5 μm C18 110Ǻ, 150 x 3 mm, Phenomenex (Torrance, USA). Phosphate buffer with concentration of 15 mmol/l, pH 6,4 and flow rate 0,8 ml/min was used as a mobile phase. Diode array detector was used for detection of creatinine (235 nm ) , kynurenine (230 nm) and uric acid (290 nm) Neopterin was monitored using fluorescent detection at 353 nm excitation and 438 nm emission wavelength. All chromatographic systems were compared on the basis of the SST- System Suitability Test and were evaluated by the separation efficiency, peak resolution, asymmetry and other parameters. Columns with the best parameters were selected for further optimization and validation. The resulting new modern HPLC method should be suitable for clinical use.

Specifics of teaching of French as a foreign language of adolescents and adults students at the beginner level A1
Vlasatá, Adéla ; Machleidtová, Silva (advisor) ; Müllerová, Eva (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze, from general didactic perspective, specifics of French language teaching of adolescent as well as adult students at the beginner level. More specifically, socalled FLE teaching within informal educational environment of a particular language school in Prague is examined. In order to do so, this thesis is divided into two sections. In the first theoretical section, the compilation method is employed, resulting in detailed analysis of selected didactic themes related to the defined aim of the thesis. The second, supporting section consists of specially compiled survey analysis, which focuses on themes covered at the first theoretical part. It is worth noting that perspectives of students are captured as a result of the survey analysis. The major contribution of this thesis is a comprehensive theoretical and practical view on not yet separately compiled methodology of teaching of French language of beginning, predominantly adult students, in the context of Czech informal educational environment.

Problems of information search on the Internet
Janů, Tomáš ; Sklenák, Vilém (advisor) ; Šubrta, Václav (referee)
This thesis adverts to the inadequacies and impediments which can be met by an ordinary user of the internet when searching for information. The process of searching itself represents an interaction between the request given by a user and the result displayed by a search engine. The result might be in a form of URL address of a concrete web page, picture, product, location etc. Some of the problems, which are described in detail in the thesis, are for example relevance and freshness of the search result, separation of global and local result, spam in the results or problems connected to the searching in the online maps. There is an emphasis on the local market, respectively on the Czech user, in the thesis. Furthermore, it focuses on the freshness of all data and on a practical sample in a picture form. The important data and statistics are recorded in the well-arranged tables and graphs. Among others, many interesting information and observations can be found in the thesis. These information and observations are marked with the blue arrow (->).

Multifunctional agriculture in Czechia after accesion to the European Union: conceptualisation, development and regional differentiation
Hrabák, Jiří ; Jančák, Vít (advisor) ; Spišiak, Peter (referee) ; Novotná, Marie (referee)
8 Abstract The dissertation deals with the concepts of multifunctional agriculture in the context of transformations of Czech agriculture in the post-communist era. In general, the study mainly wanted to discuss the concepts of multifunctional agriculture, known for over three decades, especially from the Anglo-Saxon environment, and to analyse the development of Czech agriculture as well as application of multifunctional agriculture especially in the period after Czechia's joining the European Union, including the perception of multifunctional activities by farmers. The initial part of the study discusses the concepts of multifunctional agriculture as non- commodity production (OECD 2001) and an integral part of rural development (Van der Ploeg, Roep 2003) on the one hand and of agricultural multifunctionality (Wilson 2007), on the other. The empirical part of the work was based on a quantitative assessment of regional differentiation of multifunctional agriculture in Czechia, the territorial concentration of multifunctional activities and dependence between the variables that influence its implementation. The evaluation of the perception of multifunctional activities by farmers has resulted from a field survey, or interviews conducted with farmers in three areas of interest of various types (municipality...

Czech grammatography and cultural reflection of Czech language in the years 1533-1672
