Effect of weak magnetic fields on animal physiology and behavior
Štefanská, Lucie ; Němec, Pavel (advisor) ; Vácha, Martin (referee)
Weak magnetic fields from different sources constitute a part of the environment, in which animals live. Therefore one can suppose their effect on animal behavior and physiology, including ontogenetic development. The geomagnetic field is ubiquitous and life on Earth has been accompanied by it from the very beginning. Therefore it seems not to be surprising, that diverse animals are able to detect the geomagnetic field and use it as a cue for orientation and navigation, the ability referred to as magnetoreception. Despite being phylogenetically widespread, the transduction mechanisms and the neural basis of magnetoreception and magnetic orientation remain largely unclear. Three major hypotheses are gaining experimental support: mechanisms based on electromagnetic induction, biogenic magnetite and radical pair reactions. In addition to magnetoreception, various other effects of week magnetic fields on organisms have been reported. Most notably, irregular changes of the geomagnetic field (especially geomagnetic storms) and alternating artificial magnetic fields, which have appeared in the environment due to electrification, are considered to have an effect on locomotor activity, learning and memory, nociception, melatonin synthesis and circadian rhythms, cardiovascular system, gene expression and...

To become a member of a first class: the child's adaptation to rules valid in the first class
Hončíková, Lucie ; Štětovská, Iva (referee) ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor)
Beginning of a school atlendance creates one of very important moments in the chilď s life. Changes, which appear in this period, refer to aU parts of a chilď s life and mean an interference to a family life as well. In our diploma project we have aimed on a process of adaptation of a child to rules valid at school, which she/he meets in the first term of a school year. We have focused expeciaUy on the running ofthis process and on mechanisms it is determined by. In the theoretical part we have explained the problematics of the life at school in the first class and we have defined the basic concepts related to the early beginning of the school atlendance which we have worked later with. In a practical part we have firstly classified and then described every rule and the categories of rules and norms. Then we have observed the running of the process of adaptation of children to school norms separately in every month of the first term. After that we have compared the results. We have created the global picture of the process of adaptation as we have noticed it in our research. To reach our goal we have decided to choose mostly a technigue of observation of pupils in the chosen class. This technigue we have completed by directed interviews with pupils as weU as with their trachet and by other materials.

In-plant logistics optimalization
Maroušek, Jan ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
In a theoretical part of this work there is introduced a general view on logistics and its development, than a view on creating value for customer, basics of lean production, lean thinking and following methods as Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping. At the end of the theoretical part there is mentioned outsourcing of logistics services and view on relationship between logistics provider and a client. In a practical part there is introduced a project of in-plant logistics optimalization in a factory producing steel pannels for MINI Cooper production. At the beginning there is introduced the factory itself, logistics services provider and a background of the project birth. Than there is a step by step description of a work on the project respecting a DMAIC methodology, it means that it's a classical example of a Six Sigma project using a Value stream mapping tool.

Similarly as a legal ground of this contractual type the directive 90/314 EEC is also being examined. Finally, this thesis evaluates whether implementation of this directive to czech legal order has been done correctly and whether czech laws comply with the basic rules this directive is based on. The thesis is composed of nine chapters, each of them dedicated to individual issue. In the introduction I define basic objective of this thesis. The following chapter focuses on the basic definiton, purpose, basic concepts and character of this contractual relationship. In the third most comprehensive chapter I analyse concrete requirements of package tour contract, individual rights and duties...

The goal of this work is to give a comprehensive picture of the evolution and nature of corruption in Italy in the post-war period and closer to the action "Clean hands" and "Revolution of judges" as an example of anti-corruption efforts. These actions, aimed against political corruption, caused the principal changes of the political system in Italy in the beginning of 1992 (end of the so-called First Republic).
