Tisová, Markéta ; Mellanová, Alena (advisor) ; Marková, Eva (referee)
This theoretical and empirical work addresses experience with anxiety and fear during pregnancy of primiparae. In the theoretical part the pregnancy is defined. Physical, psychical and social changes are described as well as adjustment of women to pregnancy. Further on there are general characteristics of the concept of anxiety and fear with their demonstrations and results. In the next part there is the description of anxiety and fear in pregnancy, their reasons, possible demonstrations and results of anxiety and fear in pregnancy. The research project of my graduation work was focused at the detection of how far the primiparae experience fear and anxiety during pregnancy and what reasons and cause are indicated. We tried to find out if there are any correlations between fear and anxiety in pregnant women and if there is any possibility to estimate in advance which group of women would experience fear and anxiety more. We also tried to find out what helps the pregnant women to get rid of these fears and anxiety or how can these feelings be reduced and if there is any possibility to prevent these feelings. Next we wanted to know how the primiparae get the information about pregnancy and which information is considered most appropriate.

Pragmatism and humanism in nursing
HAUSEROVÁ, Ester
?Pragmatism and Humanism in Nursing?; it is the key subject of this thesis. It is trying to analyse both philosophical trends reflecting current situation of nursing. The academic part deals with philosophy such as humanism and pragmatism, followed by phenomenology and ethics. The following part refers to assisting careers, nursing, its history and philosophy, and the nursing rights. The final issue of this academic part is dedicated to the nurse chores, difficult tasks, burnout syndrome and hygiene of mind. The empiric part is aimed at receiving and processing of information through quality and quantity research. All respondents were general nurses and nursing students. The main focus of this thesis was to find the balance scale between nursing pragmatism and humanism and view the opinion of nurse while bringing those philosophical opinions into practice. Regarding to the results of this thesis it is obvious that there is a space for both of these philosophical trends though it is not particularly easy to mark which of these trends may currently prevail. At the same time there is not a clear opinion of participating nurses about bringing these trends into use. It proves that the exploitation of humanism and pragmatism elements is quite individual regarding the time and circumstances. Hypothesis and questions of research are evaluated within the final chapters. The results of this thesis reflect the constant problems which are generally recognised by both the nurses and the students of the nursing. Among the main problems of nurses are too much work and the lack of time. The last part of this thesis contains the attachments, which are related to the empiric part (such as questionnaires and question topics) and they present an idea of thematic supervisory plan, which would be aimed at solving the current problematic situation of a nursing practice.

Analysis and models of Czech balance of trade
Čása, Tomáš ; Benáček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Semerák, Vilém (referee)
The thesis starts with the identification of balance of trade within the general theoretical framework of the balance of payments. In the environment of the transition economy, balance of trade has especially large influence on the external balance and we try to point out that trade flows should always be evaluated in this broader perspective. Factors that influenced the creation of positive trade balance in the 2000-2005 period are summed up and discussed in the next part. Empirical verification of great impact of income and price elasticities on the Czech trade balance is presented using simple OLS framework and data for trade flows with EU. Second aim of the thesis is to explore more closely the microeconomic supply-side-based approach to trade balance. Analysis of sectoral structure of the trade balance using the classical comparative advantage concept as the main determining factor is presented. We attempt to verify that the exchange of goods in manufacturing industry is carried out at least to some degree in accordance with this classical theory. We also use analytical method by calculating different revealed comparative advantage indices for disaggregated manufacturing industries as a demonstration of a more dynamic and heterogenous approach to sectoral competitiveness.

Ing. Oldřich Dědek, CSc Academic Year: 2011/2012 Abstract This thesis focuses on proper credit risk identification with respect to macroprudential policies, which should mitigate systemic risk accumulation and contribute to higher financial stability of the financial sector. We present a derivation of the formula for expected LGD and show its sensitivity analysis with respect to other company structural parameters. Finally, we estimate the five-year expected LGDs for companies listed on Prague Stock Exchange and find that the average LGD for the analyzed sample is around 20-50%. The second essay examines the issue of how to determine whether the observed level of private sector credit is excessive in the context of the "countercyclical capital buffer", a macroprudential tool proposed in the new regulatory framework of Basel III by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
