An in vitro cultivation technique has been developed that allows to reproducibly obtain and propagate a heterogenous population of epithelial cells from samples of normal mammary glands, breast tumours and subcutaneous metastases of breast cancer. The epithelial origin of cultured cells was proved by their cytokeratin profile, and EMA and ESA protein expression. The technique uses a feeder layer of irradiated NIH 3T3 cells to support clonal growth of even single isolated cells. Cultures were successfully established from 96% of surgical tumour biopsy specimens (69 out of 72, volume of sample about 1 cm3) and 67% of true-cut biopsy specimens (28 out of 42, volume 0.01 cm3). Two and more in vitro passages were obtained with 74% (53 out of 72) of surgical specimens and 31% (13 out of 42) of truecut biopsy specimens. This is the first report of successful in vitro propagation of cells obtained from breast cancer via true-cut biopsy. In cell populations analyzed for the growth properties, the culture lifetime, related to the number of colony-forming cells, varied for cells from benign tumours between 22 and 40 cell populations and for malignant tumours between 21 and 51. Tax policy of municipalities

This thesis deals with tax on immovable property and local taxes in Cesky Krumlov, Jindrichuv Hradec, Prachatice a Strakonice. The main objective is to evaluate the development of tax income from real estate tax and selected local taxes. Work identifies the reasons for significant changes between these revenues in the years 2002-2015. The greatest differences in revenues of tax on immovable assets in the years 2002-2015 were caused by two major changes in this tax. Specifically, the Law no. 261/2007 Coll., which introduced the possibility to provide the local coefficient of 2, 3, 4 or 5, and thus significantly increase its revenues and the city budget. The most local municipalities have begun to apply the coefficients since 2009. Another significant intervention in the real estate tax was Law no. 362/2009, which doubled tax rates, with effect from January 1st, 2010. The most noticeable growth in the revenues from local tax on dogs appeared between 2003 and 2004, when the city increased local tax rate of dogs because the Law no. 229/2003 Coll., changed maximum tax rate from CZK 1,000 to CZK 1,500. The most significant change in local taxes on waste brought Law no. 174/2012 Coll., which doubled the maximum rate, with effect from January 1st, 2013. But the municipalities were not affected by this change because the cities kept the level of rates to the level of previous years.

Možnosti týmové práce ve výuce na FM VŠE

Pro týmovou práci je nezbytné zajistit prostředí, ve kterém ji bude možné realizovat, a které ji bude podporovat. Podpora vychází jak z prostředí sociálního, tak fyzického. Je velice důležité, aby byly podmínky pro týmovou práci v obou prostředích dostatečně zajištěny. Sociální a fyzické prostředí se navíc ovlivňují a podporují navzájem a jedno bez druhého nedovolí realizaci týmové práce na vysoké úrovni. I zde by se dala dokázat platnost synergického efektu, který může způsobit, že týmová práce bude mít následky mnohem pozitivnější, než by se dalo čekat.

Náplní práce je komplexní příručka pro zájemce o granty v oblasti sportu, popřípadě napomáhá žadatelům v postupu podávání této žádosti, obsahuje důležitá fakta a podmínky, které musí být v jednotlivých dotačních programech splněny.

Diplomová práce se zabývá úlohou transferu technologie ve světovém hospodářství. Ve své první části obsahuje shrnutí nejdůležitějších pojmů z oblasti nehmotných statků, práva průmyslového a duševního vlastnictví, včetně odkazů na příslušné zákony. Je vysvětleno, co je to patent na vynález, užitný vzor, průmyslový vzor a některé další výsledky tvůrčí činnosti v hospodářské oblasti, mimo jiné i podmínky jejich registrace. Následuje pasáž o institutu národní ochranné známky, označení původu výrobků, obchodní firmy a podnikových průmyslových práv. Další kapitoly jsou zaměřeny na samotnou směnu průmyslového vlastnictví, jednotlivé licenční smlouvy a jejich obchodní a cenovou problematiku. Druhá část je věnována ochraně průmyslového vlastnictví na mezinárodní scéně, jednotlivým úmluvám v této oblasti a zápisu mezinárodní ochranné známky dle Madridské dohody. Práce řeší též otázku harmonizace práva členských států Evropské unie s právem komunitárním a vytváření práv na úrovni Společenství v oblasti ochrany průmyslového vlastnictví, především se zaměřením na problematiku ochranné známky Společenství, včetně jejího zápisu a režimu právní ochrany.

Economic evaluation of selected agricultural company with a focus on vegetable production

This thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic situation and performance data of selected agricultural company, economic evaluation of the level of its operations in the area of crop production with a focus on vegetable production for the period 2011 - 2015. The work includes a theoretical part, in which the definition of an agriculture, its functions and properties, as well as factors affecting results of operations, basic accounting documents, indicators and methods of financial analysis is described.
The practical part contains an analysis of management and economic evaluation of selected agricultural society Agrokomplex Ohře Inc. in the period 2011 - 2015. Based on the results of the analysis of the company and the assortment of vegetables the recommendations for improving of the efficiency of management in the chosen company are given.

Cross-border cooperation as a Factor of Development of Czech - Poland Borderland

The subject of the diploma thesis is the possibilities of the cross-border cooperation situated in micro-regions of the Czech-Polish border. Generally, the border areas are locally disadvantaged and determined by both geographical and administrative structure. In a relation of joining the Czech Republic the European Union, the euro-regions has gained the importance of their unique position with the cross.border cooperation on the regional level.
The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical introduction in this isuue. It covers the description of the historical development of the cooperation and the reason for the establishment of the region cooperation across the state borders in Europe.
The second part is practical and it deals with an analysis of the real implemented project of the cross-border cooperation in Euro-region Glacensis. Subsequently, it concerns the review and the evalution of their contribution to the development of the euro-region.
The practical part is particulary based on the analysis of the scientific literature, documants as well as on the semi-structured interiews with the main participants of the presented projects.

Analysis of chosen stock company economy established by municipality

This thesis deals with the analysis of management joint stock company incorporated Prague 11 for the period since inception of the company from 2008 to 2014. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the basic concepts of solved problems. Here is the characterization
of financial analysis, its sources and methods to implement it, the most commonly used indicators and methods of their calculation. In this part also describes the structure of income and expenditures stock company. In the practical part of the thesis is first introduced
and analyzed by proprietary Jihoměstská Inc. Analysis of the company's property Jihoměstská Inc. was performed using methods that are described in the theoretical part. All calculations and graphs were performed and analyzed using MS Excel.

Output-Inflation Trade-off After a Quarter of a Century of Inflation Targeting

This thesis estimates the treatment effect of inflation targeting adoption on inflation, inflation variability, output, and output variability for 25 explicit inflation targeting countries. I implement the propensity score matching methodology that takes into account the problems of non-experimental nature, such as selection bias or selection on observable, and allows me to effectively mimic properties of randomized experiment and compute unbiased treatment effect estimates. I introduce a variety of propensity score matching methods that were recently developed in the treatment effect literature, including Nearest Neighbor, Radius matching, Kernel matching, and Inverse Probability Weighting. The results indicate that both industrial and developing inflation targeting countries exhibit lower inflation levels and at the same time higher output growth than non-targeting countries. The estimates are however in most cases statistically insignificant. Moreover, it appears that both industrial and developing countries achieve combination of lower inflation variability and output variability compared to non-targeting countries. Nonetheless, majority of the estimates are again statistically insignificant. The results are to a small extent sensitive to the choice of propensity score matching method. Radius matching with tight calipers (r=0.005, r=0.001) tends to provide the most reliable estimates. Balancing properties of the models are reasonable and compared to the previous research the standardised biases are quantitatively better.
