The influence of Gothic art on tourism industry of Normandy

This bachelor thesis discourses about Gothic art in Normandy and its impact on tourism industry of that region. The first chapter describes the tourism of France, focusing on the region of Normandy. The second chapter is a description of Gothic art. The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the Gothic monuments of Normandy, an analysis of offer of Czech travel agencies and travel agents and finally on the proposal of cognitive tour focused on the Gothic heritage of this region.

Kitchen Design

The Diploma thesis documents the making of a series of ceramics objects designed for serving and holding foods, as well as those suiteble for raising the standards in food serving. The documentation also contains details of a tiled stove and suggested interior modifications of a new single-family house. The thesisfocuses on the presentation of the concepts of the individual ceramic objects sets. However, it also contains a brief intro giving information on how the Feng shui systém of aesthetics influenced this project. Based on the findings acquired from literature and research, it offers ways of how to carry out my first compact set of design objects.

Defence and protection of halls of justice against terrorist attacks

Summary Critical infrastructure is a new concept in protection of the state, people{\crq}s lives, health and property. This policy is being developed at EU level as well as in the Czech Republic. One of the most significant threats for critical infrastructure is terrorism. In the first part I describe the history of terrorism, its manifestations, strategy and tactics and also the weapons used in terrorist attacks. I give the reasons for protection of district court-houses as part of critical infrastructure. In the next part I examine measures taken to protect and guard the buildings of district court-houses against particular terrorist attacks. Based on these findings I then evaluate the readiness of these buildings in case of possible attacks. I conclude by offering possible solutions to improve security and protection of these buildings.

Transport accessability related to second home tourism in peripheral regions

This diploma thesis focuses on accessibility and serviceability second homes in the inner periphery, respectively, in the model region "Hranice krajů-Středozápad" as well as analysis and assessment of the second homes with the possibility of a future transformation to permanent housing. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of the second homes, transport accessibility and public transport not only in the Czech Republic. Analyzes commuting to recreation in various fields and further acquainted with the problems of peripheral areas. The empirical part is based on the data obtained from the analysis of public transport, statistical yearbooks and survey, which took place in the model region "Hranice krajů- Středozápad". The area is monitored to determine what kinds of vehicles are used by second homes owners for leisure travel and the transport infrastructure facilities. Also is detecting the demand for public transport and its offer for owners of second homes. In this paper, public transport is studied in the long-term viewpoint since the mid-70th the 20th century and the observation are directed to the needs of second homes users on Friday, Sunday and "recreational" link. - 1 - 9. Abstract Forensic ballistics The goal of this thesis is to initiate readers into the branch of criminalistic or forensic ballistics and to its basic terminology. It is not possible to compile this theme at full length, there is no sufficient space for it, therefore I offer professional minimum of criminalistic ballistics. The fundamental purpose of my thesis is to afford the complex view of problems of modern forensic ballistics. The thesis is composed of introduction, six chapters, conclusion and supplements. Introduction defines short acquaintance with theme and with reasons why I decided on the subject of criminalistic ballistics. The following chapter "Historic development of fire arms" features history of weapons or fire arms. The subchapter "Historical development of forensic ballistics" includes the development of the branch abroad and in the territory of late Czechoslovakia too, including the well-known case of manslaughter of countess Windischgrätz. The chapter "Conception of forensic ballistics and its signification" illustrates basic division of criminalistic ballistics, then illustrates objects of investigation and occurrence of ballistics clues. "New" role of an object in "object art" and "art of instalation"

Submitted graduation theses offer different views of questions relating to an object (thing) in the "object art". The foundation of the "object art" brought a "new" role of an object. It does mean that the border of an art types are no more close, as well as life and art are now transparent. We can find qualitative changes in a various ways of treatment of an object. I saw these changes in according to four basic criteria: meaning, material, form and function. Another centre line of the text are overlaps of fine art and applied art, which detects common tendences in both spheres.

Marketing Strategy of a Company

This work deals with the marketing strategy of company Saparia, which manages Trade Centre Sapa in Prague. There are two objectives of the work. The first one is to acquiant reader with the complex description of the trade centre and the other is to analyse the marketing strategy of the company with a final proposal of a new marketing strategy. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical basis, the definition of marketing strategy. The second chapter gives the comprehensive description of the trade centre as the object of marketing strategy. Individual subsections describe company Saparia, the location of the trade centre, its history, the offer and its functions. The third chapter is devoted to analysis of the marketing environment. This strategic analysis involves the description of a typical customer and seller of the trade centre, competitive environment, media monitoring and analysis of the current marketing strategy. SWOT analysis summarizes the results of these partial analyses, providing the basis for the formulation of a new marketing strategy, which is the subject of the last fourth chapter.

Cycle - metamorphoses of stone

The thesis explains the metamorphoses of stone seen in different contexts both natural and social. The metamorphosis of stone properties and its shape is presented on the basis of the natural processes taking place in the nature. The change of the relevance and function of the stone is seen in parallels of stone perception in the past and today. The core of the whole thesis is an effort to defend the place and values of the natural forms - stones for a human being in the present world. The thesis further deals with the use of "metamorphoses of stone" in fine art. The practical part contains a collection of "stone" objects created from different materials, completed by photos of objects in natural context of the present time. The didactic part is offering a possible application of the theme in art education.

Access to data sources in Zend Framework.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to give a description of architecture of access to data sources in Zend Framework and its creation based on design patterns described by Martin Fowler. The first part introduces the creation of fundamental components of architecture for access to data sources; there are four possibilities offered by Martin Fowler: Table Data Gateway, Row Data Gateway, Active Record and Data Mapper. The first part also describes the implementation in Zend Framework and selection of patterns Table Data Gateway and Row Data Gateway. The posibility of their cooperation with domain objects is also discussed. The second part is about extending the architecture's structure and behavior of its objects. Pattern Query Object and its likeness with class Zend_Db_Select follows. There is also presented Lazy load pattern and the posibility of its implemetation with Zend Framework and domain objects. Lastly, the implementation of Identity Map pattern is described.
