The style of parenting typologies and the juvenile delinquency
Cieslarová, Veronika ; Buriánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Podaná, Zuzana (referee)
The main aim of this work is to focus on the style of parenting from the child/juvenile and adult perspectives. The work focuses on the analysis between the style of parenting in typologies and its influence on the child development and the juvenile delinquency. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part summarizes the results and findings of other researchers about the problematic of style of parenting in typologies and its influence on the child development. The theoretical part is based on the studies of an American author Diana Baumrind and on the division of the parenting style proposed by authors Maccoby and Martins. They suggested four different styles: authoritarian, authoritative, indulgent and neglectful. The empirical part analyses following sets of data: One comes from the survey hold in the city of Pilsen in the year 1999 and was arranged by the department of Criminal Justice on the juveniles between the age 14 up to 17. The other set of data comes from a survey collected for the Department of Sociology in 2011 on the general population. Key words: Family, Style of parenting, Delinquency, Typology

The effect of information and communication technology on competitiveness of the Czech economy
Novák, Josef ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
The advance of information and communication technology speeds up year by year. At the same time, methodologies for objective measurement of the benefits of ICTs are still lacking behind. This difference then forms a void of unsatisfied information requirements about the state of ICTs from a business as well as national economy's point of view. This thesis summarizes theoretical background about possible ways of viewing and measuring ICT benefits (be that benefits for a person, society as a whole or economy as a whole). The practical part of the thesis analyzes data describing the state of ICT sector in the Czech economy. The first part looks at ways of measuring ICT benefits as they are seen by a number of other authors and described in many studies. This provides a summary of the possibilities to consider when looking at our topic. The second part uses conclusions from previous works on similar topics to set some recommendations for policy improvement as well as social development that will enable maximizing the achieved utility of ICTs. Third part evaluates the position of ICT sector in the Czech Republic by analyzing basic statistical data about the economic and employment impact of all ICT firms as a whole. This is compared to other sectors of the Czech economy. Last part provides a detailed description of the process to calculate output and employment multipliers for all the sectors of Czech economy and then calculates these values according to the process. In the end, there is a summary of the theoretical and practical findings described in all preceding chapters.

Proposition of implementation of knowledge of interdisciplinary branch of "nanotechnology" into high school curriculum
Hájková, Zdeňka ; Šmejkal, Petr (advisor) ; Němec, Ivan (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on possible ways how to implement interesting and important findings from the field called "nanoworld" into the curriculum of science subjects at secon-dary school. For this purpose following materials were prepared: an educational text (also serves as a theoretical base that summarises basic information about nanotechnology and nanoscience), a multimedia PowerPoint presentation, a concept of a project "When you say NANOTECHNOLOGY...", a concept of an excursion, motivational and developing interdis-ciplinary tasks with the theme "nano", two tests aimed at nanotechnology and advanced mi-croscopy techniques (electron microscopy and scanning probe microscopy). The proposed project was tested at two grammar schools in Prague. The excursion was also realized and evaluated. Both, the project as well as the excursion met with an average response from stu-dents. This thesis is accompanied by a CD with the presentation and print versions of the pro-ject, pretest, posttest and worksheets for the excursion, interdisciplinary tasks and test items. In addition, the CD contains photos and students' work from the realization of the project. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Chemiluminiscenční hodnocení celkové antioxidační kapacity potravin
Vlčková, Jitka ; Solich, Petr (referee) ; Polášek, Miroslav (advisor)
Diplomová práce 2009 Abstract_ENG Jitka Vlčková ABSTRACT An investigation presented was concern to measure and evaluate the total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in samples of red wine clarified with four fining agents (polyvinylpolypyrrolidone and three different types of gelatin). All wine samples were treated by concentrations of 10, 20 and 40 g/hL of finings. The main aim was to discover how the particular agents in different dosages influence the TAC. The second part describes relations between changes in TAC in content of single antioxidant components (total polyphenols, anthocyanins, gallic acid and simple phenols). Total antioxidant capacity in red wine samples was evaluated using the Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity assay (TEAC). A theoretical part of the thesis briefly summarizes basics about luminescence, focused on chemiluminescent reaction. Theory of free radicals and antioxidants, especially those included in red wine are also described. Process of winemaking aimed at fining is also contained in this part. An experimental part describes techniques of determination of the total antioxidant capacity, principle of chemiluminescent assay based on the luminol/peroxidase system. The results show the different behaviour of gelatin from the polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP). In general gelatin tends to...

OSS and Provisioning in Telecom practise.
Dufek, Jaroslav ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šaršon, Jindřich (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with Telco specialized software and its specific software focusing on OSS (Operational Support Systems) and ordering. The introductory chapter describes IT background of an average telecommunications provider and offers complex view to the relations with BSS (Business Support System). The thesis also mentions integration of individual parts from provider's IT background to a whole and describes the usual methods to achieve this goal. The second part deals with the issue of standardization of Telco software and its history. It describes the establishment of Telemanagement Forum and its program NGOSS (New Generation Operations Systems and Software). Then, OSS functionalities are described by way of an example case study for an important Czech telecommunications corporation. The last part deals with telecommunications market in European Union and basic characteristics of telecommunications providers and their supplier companies. In conclusion, the analyzed problems are summarized and the importance of telecommunications software and telecommunications in general is explained.

Comparison of the tax burden of employees in the Czech Republic and in Belgium
Hrubanová, Adéla ; Kubátová, Květa (advisor) ; Beneš, Jonáš (referee)
The thesis analyzes and compares tax burden on employees in the Czech Republic and Belgium. The first part summarizes the tax systems of the two countries, and describes how to proceed in the calculation of their tax burden. The second part deals with the comparison of effective tax rates for different types of taxpayers. The third part discusses the tax progressivity in terms of local progressivity, which is measured by using provided intervals and determines for which income categories is the progressivity most important. Lorenz curve in the last part shows graphically global tax progressivity and redistribution of income in society. The Gini coefficient measures it. Final evaluation highlights the important ties between the two countries, compares with other countries of the European Union and its future development especially in the area of taxation of wages.

Effect of plasma modified nanofiber surface on mesenchymal stem cell adhesion, viability and proliferation.
Lukášová, Věra ; Amler, Evžen (advisor) ; Svoboda, Ondřej (referee)
This work summarizes information about the interactions between the plasma modified nanofibres surfaces and mesenchymal stem cells. Knowledge of mechanisms of cell specific adhesion could be used for a development of artificial scaffolds which will support a growth of the particular cell type. Nanofibrous materials mimic the morphology of the extracellular matrix and serve as cell scaffolding materials. However, the cell adhesion to the material surface is often not sufficient for efficient tissue regeneration. Plasma modification of nanofiber scaffolds leads to an improvement of surface characteristics. Changes in wettability, surface energy, roughness and chemical composition occur in various extents according to the type of utilized plasma. Such modifications could lead to improvement of cell adhesion and could enhance the potential of scaffold application for biomedical use.
