The diagnosis of Asperger syndrome: a pilot study of Czech version ASSQ and ASAS
Krejčířová, Helena ; Šturma, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Drlíková, Eva (referee)
In a theoretical part of the present study we describe history, epidemiology, ethiology, diagnostic classification, diagnostic criteria and clinical features of Asperger syndrome, comorbidity, theory of autism, differential diagnosis and diagnostic methods for the Asperger syndrome. A practical part of this study examines the validity and reliability of two diagnostic schedule - ASSQ - High-functioning Autism Spectrum Screening Questionnaire/Asperger Syndrome Screening Questionnaire - and ASAS - Australian Scale for Asperger Syndrome. ASSQ and ASAS are checklists for a completion on by lay informants when assessing symptoms characteristic of Asperger syndrome and other high-functioning autism spectrum disorders in children and adolescents with a normal intelligence. Data for the parent and teacher ratings in the samples (sample AUT comprised 42 6- to 16-years-old children (39 boys, 3 girls) with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism, the sample LMD comprised 143 cases (130 boys, 13 girls) with ADHD and leaming disorders and the control group of 163 participants (147 boys, 16 girls) from mainstream schools without any formal diagnosis) are presented along with various measures of reliability and validity. Optimal cut-off scores are estimated by the best ratio of the true positive rate (sensitivity) to...

Laboratory diagnostics of micrometastases in breast cancer patients
Mikulová, Veronika ; Zima, Tomáš (advisor) ; Svoboda, Marek (referee) ; Průša, Richard (referee)
Introduction: The presence of circulating tumor cells (CTC) in the peripheral blood has been associated with worse prognosis and early relapse in breast cancer patients. CTC determination in the peripheral blood has been considered as a liquid biopsy. The aim of this project was to analyze the presence of CTC followed by their molecular characterization with the potential use not only as a new biomarker for real-time monitoring of therapy efficacy but also as a suitable tool for patient's stratification and individualization of treatment for breast cancer. Methods: A total of 54 patients with diagnosed early breast cancer were enrolled into a prospective study. Ten millilitres of peripheral blood were sequentially collected to test for the presence and characterization of CTC during the follow-up of patients. CTC isolation and detection was performed by AdnaTest BreastCancer™ (AdnaGen AG, Germany), which is based on the detection of EpCAM, HER2 and MUC1 specific transcripts in enriched CTC- lysates. cDNA from isolated CTC has been further used for newly optimized qPCR assays for breast tumor and therapy resistance associated genes: TOP1, TOP2A, CSTD, ST6GAL, KRT19 and reference gene actin. qPCR results have been analyzed by Genex software (MultiD Analysis). Results: 195 blood samples have been...

Contribution of VS LSS projects for the knowledge development in an organization
Smolková, Petra ; Martínez, Felipe (advisor) ; Plášková, Alena (referee)

Students taking class in compulsory subject Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma Practical were participating in those projects. Mentors from participating organizations were interviewed. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history and selected tools of Lean Management. The significance of continuous improvement, as an integral part of Lean Management, is discussed. The thesis describes knowledge management and selected models of knowledge creation and transfer. The practical part includes a description of an employed methodology and interviews results. The thesis concludes a proposal of changes that can result in improvement of projects contribution for the knowledge development in the participating organizations.

Multilokusová charakteristika symbiontů entomopatogenních hlístovek rodu \kur{Steinernema}
FAKTOROVÁ, Lucie
During the evolution some groups of organisms have become coevolutionary associated with other groups, as is the case of host symbiont systems. To explore coevolutionary history of hosts and their associated symbionts, phylogenetic reconstruction of symbionts and phylogenetic reconstruction of hosts are usually compared. Coevolution is described by coevolutionary events (cospeciation, host switch, duplication, failure to diverge events and linage sorting events). The aim of this work was to test the suitability of MLST method for the complex of entomopathogenic nematodes from the genus Steinernema (with detailed analysis of Steinernema feltiae) and their symbiotic bacteria Xenorhabdus bovienii and subsequently use cophylogenetic comparative analysis to determine their level of cospeciation.

Costing and Preparing Quotations in the Transport Department Logistics Company
Ingeli, Maroš ; Kozáková, Petra (advisor) ; Stejskalová, Irena (referee)
Diploma Thesis deals with costing and preparation of bids in the transport department of Logistics Company. Analyzed company annually participates in a large numbers of tenders for logistics provider. The aim of diploma thesis is to find critical points and propose a possible method of calculations, which has been missing. Practical section is split into two parts. In first part is using modified calculation formula calculated cost per kilometer. Work continues with two case studies, where are described the most problematic issues and suggested solutions. In the end of work is proposed new methodology of preparing commercial studies which can company use in future.

Trends in labor migration in New Zealand
Nedbalová, Adriana ; Klosová, Anna (advisor) ; Gullová, Soňa (referee)
One of the most popular schemes of temporary migration in New Zealand is Working Holiday, which extensively has increased in the number of participants over the last 10 years. There were almost 20,000 participants in 2004 and it increased to 50,000 participants in 2014. This study researches a role of Czech participants in this scheme and i.a. looks into their financial situation. Finding out their role is based on comparison of conditions, wages, time of stay and time of working with other participants of different nationalities. Czechs cover just 2 % out of all the participants of WH but on average they work and stay in New Zealand longer than others. After they return back home, thanks to their satisfaction, they spread their overseas experience. This supports the growth of interest in overseas travel and a quota of 1200 visas issued for one year seems to be insufficient.

The Adaptation courses and their use in conditions of Hotel Schoul in Pilsen
KABÁTOVÁ, Marie

The opinions on importance and usefulness of these courses at High school of Gastronomy and Tourism in Pilsen are various even after twelve years of the courses existence. There is a large group of enthusiastic teachers supporting the courses but also a large group of their opponents. The theoretical part focuses on the summary of experiential learning, methods and its inclusion in the current school system. It deals with the scheme, objectives formulation and structure of the adaptation courses. It also provides a brief overview of organizations implementing the courses ?on request?. The research part is intended to find out the significance of these courses concerning the attitude of the participants, both the teachers and first grade students. It also focuses on the opinion of future students and it marginally detects the view of respondents outside the school. The results and findings from the research are summarized in the last section. Based on the synthesis the new, optimized procedure of the courses is proposed. At the same time one day programe is designed in case of cancelling the residential courses.

The Evaluation in Figure Skating from the View of the Decision Making Theory
Erbsová, Markéta ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Nečas, Dalibor (referee)
The evaluation methods of competitors in figure skating are the key problem of this sport. The 6.0 system of evaluation was in use until the year 2004. In such system referee compares competitors one by one and decides on the rank. The 6.0 system can be described by method of Expert Judgment and/or Group Participation. In year 2004 International Skating Union introduced the new system. In this new system is in the role of the decision maker mainly the competitor not the referee. The competitor chooses elements of his program which maximized the total point benefit. We can find out the point value of every element in SOV -- Scale of Values. Nowadays the skater can decide according to the Decision Making under Multiple Criteria theory, we use Weighted Sum Approach method which is sufficient for our purpose. In this thesis both systems are going to be explained on particular cases and linked with methods of decision making theory.
