Mertlíková, Veronika ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Doleželová, Eva (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Veronika Mertlíková Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The study of VCAM-1 expression in experimental atherogenesis. The aim of the thesis is to describe the expression of VCAM-1 in the vessel wall of normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J mice, which were fed standard laboratory diet, and hypercholesterolemic apoE-deficient mice. As an experimental model normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J male mice and apoE-deficient mice at the age of 6 weeks were used. The C57BL/6J male mice were fed standard laboratory diet and apoE-deficient mice were fed cholesterol diet for 8 weeks. After this procedure a biochemical analysis of blood and immunohistochemical analysis of segments taken from aortic sinus and aortal arch were made. In comparison with the control C57BL/6J mice a large level of cholesterol was found in the blood of the apoE-deficient mice. Atherosclerotic lesions are thus generated only by the hypercholesterolemic mice. We were monitoring the expression of VCAM-1 in aortas of the normocholesterolemic C57BL/6J mice without atherosclerotic lesions by immunohistochemical methods, and the same methods were used for monitoring of the areas with and without...

Europeanization of Czech labour law
Němcová, Magda ; Hůrka, Petr (advisor) ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyse not only the general topic of the europeanisation but also the topic of the legal europeanisation as such. This thesis is divided into eight parts. Chapter I provides a general introduction of the europeanisation and it also sets down the goals of this thesis. Chapter II aims at the general overview of the labour law. Chapter III deals with the European Union and the European law. This chapter is divided into two subchapters. The first subchapter goes in mainly for the development of the European Union. This is followed by the second subchapter dealing with the development of the labour law in the European Union. European labour law has been developing long time and can be divided into three time lines. Chapter IV engages with the topic of the europeanisation. Firstly, the terminology is reconciled and afterwards it continues with the europeanisation in common sense. Also some definitions and opinions from authors dealing with the Europeanisation are taken into consideration and pointed out. Then, the legal europeanisation introduction come after with regard to reasons which lead the member states of the European Union to harmonize their own legal order or which tools are used to harmonize the legal orders. The following Chapter V targets the europeanisation...

The number and the age structure of physicians in the Czech health system
Dostálová, Eva ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Kurtinová, Olga (referee)
This study deals with the development of the number and the age and sex structure of Czech physicians according their medical specialty in the period 2000-2010. The aim of the study is to identify which medical specialties are already problematic or could face the lack of physicians and demographic ageing in the future and on the other hand which medical specialties are popular among young physicians. Firstly, the Czech health system and particular groups of health workforce are introduced. After that follows the analysis of the number and the sex and age structure according their medical specialty. The cluster analysis which produces groups of medical specialties with similar characteristics of development of the number and the structure was used for schematic overview. The second part of the study is focused on the most numerous fourteen medical specialties. The number of medical school graduates, the number of attestations and the development of workload of physicians regarding the number of ambulant treatment and hospitalization is taken into account.

Title: Frobenius primality tests Author: Jan Hora Department: Department of algebra Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Aleš Drápal, CSc. Dsc. Supervisor's e-mail address: drapal@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: In the present work we study Extended Quadratic Frobenius primality test. We study its functionality, error probability and taken time. We will define ring R(n, c), in which the test works. We will describe its structure depending up primality of tested number n, and algorithm of Frobenius test. We will show, that test succeeds anytime the tested number n is prime. We will study the upper bound for error probability of the test. We will show that test fails iff certain elements of set R(n, c) are chosen, Set of that elements will be denoted G(n, c). We will find conditions that G(n, c) must fulfil, and with them we will discover, that Frobenius test eroor probability is at most 1 24 . We will analyse individual parts of algorithm and discover, that one cyclus of Frobenius test can be done with approximately 2 log n multiplications in Zn. Finaly the teoretical estimates will be compared with practical results. Keywords: primality test, Frobenius automorfism, cyklic group, roots of one 1

Changes of the town of Ceska Kamenice beetwen the years 1945-1951
Müllerová, Vanda ; Václavů, Lubor (advisor) ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (referee)
As it results from the title, the work is focused on the historical evolution of Ceska Kamenice in the period of years from 1945 to 1951. May 1945 seems to be the turning point of the further development of Ceska Kamenice. The German inhabitants, who had represented the majority population so far, were at once qualified as political unreliable and in light of important changes that were expected, discriminating regulations started to be carried out against them. In the meantime the Czech from various parts of the Republic began to come there. Some of them beholded their arrival just as an oportunity to feather their nests, but of course there were those too, who decided to stay and settle down in the town. They gained the national stewardship and started their new lives. However, some of the new settlers had to leave the town again because the stewardship was not always taken over by people who were the most competent and qualified. Assigning to this office as well as being resigned from, often became the demonstration of potencial power. The first months in Ceska Kamenice were accompanied by injustice and tyrany. Units of troops and guerrilla forces that settled in the town tyrannized both, Czech and German inhabitants and the endeavour to stop it was suppressed. These events were only revealed in 1947...

Sample Preparation for Determination of Alpha-tocopherol in Erytrocyte Membrane by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Denková, Barbora ; Šatínský, Dalibor (referee) ; Solich, Petr (advisor)
In this thesis, a new method for isolation of α-tocopherol from human erythrocyte membranes, using ultracentrifugation and solid phase extraction (SPE), for next HPLC analysis, was developed. Rightly SPE is nowadays one of the most effective and reliable modern methods permitting appropriate preparation of biological material sample before HPLC analysis. The developed SPE procedure is the following: 1) Washing of taken erythrocytes: 2,5 ml of blood is centrifugated 10 min at 1300×g, 4žC and the upper layer of plasma is separated. 0.01% saline BHT solution is added to the erythrocytes to a final volume of 2.5 ml and the centrifugation is repeated. The supernatant is removed and the whole operation is repeated three times. Washed erythrocytes are stored at a temperature of -86žC. 2) Proper α-tocopherol extraction from washed erythrocytes: 500 μl of 50 mmol/l D-mannitol solution and 500 μl of 5 mmol/l HEPES are introduced in the ultracentrifuge cuvette. Next, 100 μl of defrost washed erythrocytes are taken using a piston pipette. The pipette is carefully cleaned using cellulose and erythrocytes are introduced into the cuvette. 11 μl of 1 mol/l CaCl2 solution are then added and the sample is centrifugated for 3 min, at 90 000 rpm (288 000×g, rAV = 31,8 mm), at 4žC. Afterwards, 500 μl of supernatant is...

The cost of equity, we have identified using the CAPM. Followed by the actual valuation and the final statement of the value of the company Hilti, Ltd.

The Impact of Quantitative Easing on USA, Eurozone and Japan in 2001 - 2015
Odložilová, Andrea ; Štěpánek, Pavel (advisor) ; Loužek, Marek (referee)
The objective of this master thesis is to appraise quantitative easing on markets in the USA, Eurozone and Japan. The emphasis in the analysis is on evaluation of monetary policy, appraisal of measures taken and their impact on the main macroeconomic indicators. Quantitative easing belongs to the unconventional tools of central banks. Bank of Japan was the first bank which used QE, than Bank of England and the Fed. ECB set the final round of quantitative easing in March 2015 and it is still a highly debated monetary policy instrument.
