The psychosocial characteristics of children who committed a violent crime
Schwabová, Michaela ; Boukalová, Hedvika (referee) ; Gillernová, Ilona (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with psychosocial characteristics of children under 15 who are engaged in violent criminal activity, in the present case particularly in robbery, but also in assault and battery or extortion. Violent criminal activity is considered to be any activity sanctioned by criminal law providing it is necessary to resort to or threaten violence in order to commit it. The reason why the author of this thesis focused on children under 15 is due to the fact that the combination of a pubescent individual and a violent criminal activity is highly alarming and raises concern about future development of such a person. Resorting to such intense violence at such a young age can indicate especially a serious disturbance in personality development and its socialization, i.e. the process of integrating people into society and interiorizing social norms. However, it is also necessary to take into consideration a relatively big space for "manipulating" an individual and guiding his/her development in a desirable way, although there are certain limits to it. Even though an adolescent individual is in the process of development, which can be influenced through targeted intervention, it may not be possible to reverse certain facts, especially if these originate e.g. in early childhood and are of fundamental...

This master thesis deals with management request towards informatics department within front company that provides wide range of financial services. Demand refers to client contact data, particularly correspondence addresses and calls for possibility to mass change such records. There are several relatively separated tasks which need to be discussed in order to fulfill the request. First part introduces the company and analyze current situation. Then continue by describing correspondence addresses issue and supports with reasons for the inevitable change. Company's information system architecture is outlined with emphasis on central database that is being formed. This part also further describes options how data can be stored. Middle part contains reason--based choice where correspondence records should be maintained in company's data architecture. Implementation plan with chosen storage pattern is formed here and connected changes in system are highlighted. As a last processes connected to correspondence addresses mass modification are described and drawn with selected notation. After that user graphic interface is designed as a place where the self request will be served.

Creating of PPP in Czech republic
Šarochová, Petra ; Vyskočil, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Oleksiak, Ivan (referee)
PPP is a generally accepted way of ensuring public services or public infrastructure on the basis of long-term contractual relationship, where public and private sectors share mutual benefits and risks resulting from the effort to secure the public infrastructure or public services . According to the current financial crisis, I think that the issue of PPP projects will be more important not only in the area of the Czech republic, but also in the whole world. The public sector is for the private partner reliable contractual partner. In a situation where is a lack of orders, we can expect that implementation of PPP projects will increase. Any PPP project was successfully completed in the Czech republic, the reason can be insufficient information, political and legislative support.

Buildings of the representative offices of Czechoslovakia during the interwar period; strategy of their selection and acquirement
Jaroš, Jan ; Čechurová, Jana (advisor) ; Kuklík jun., Jan (referee)
Czechoslovak Embassy and Consulate Buildings During the Inter-war Period: Selection and Acquisition Strategies In the Diplomatic Service of Austro-Hungarian empíre worked only few Czechs and Slovaks. For this reason the new established Czechoslovakia had to educate many diplomats and also to create its own network of embassies and consulates. This involved also the buildings. When choosing the right estates were above all important the following factors: representativness, security and costs. Own buildings provided better presentation opportunities and it was easier to adapt them for diplomatic function. Thanks to the stability of Czech currency in the interwar period were the costs for the buildings reasonable. For building, adaptations and equipping the buildings was used stable group of professionals. The critisism of purchase of some particular objects and its equipment was mostly sourcing from the relationships among some diplomats and political situation in Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia had its own buildings, which were used as embassies, consulates or official apartments of ambassadors or consuls, in this important cities or capitals of European states (in alphabetical order): Ankara, Belgrade, Berlín, Bern, Budapest, Bucharest, Galati, Hague, Hamburg, London, Paris, Rome, Sofia, Tirana ( only the...

Interface-Based Software Development
Rais, Aziz ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Lacko, Branislav (referee) ; Merunka, Vojtěch (referee)
Even though there are many software development and project management methodologies available, research and practice both show that IT software development projects still fail, and that the quality of software products does not always meet customers' expectations. There might be multiple causes for such failures, but some of these reasons can be seen to influence or create others. Therefore, the larger the project is, the higher its risk of failure, especially if the teams involved work remotely (distributed and outsourced). This increase in project complexity is considered the motivation for this paper. Similarly, there are other factors that can result in a project's failure and customers' dissatisfaction regarding software quality. All such factors identified by research conducted by organizations specializing in this area are analyzed in order to identify a common root of IT project failures. Once the root causes of these failures have been identified and analyzed, the goal of the Interface based software development methodology is to solve them. The solution offered by an Interface based software development methodology is to improve understanding of software requirements and to describe these requirements with interfaces in an object-oriented way. Interface based software development will support and drive development towards service-oriented architecture (SOA) and component-based development (CBD). The goal of interface based software development is to increase software testability and maintainability and to make it more easily feasible to execute various software development processes in parallel.

Implementation of the channel equalization algorithms used in FMT modulation
Krejča, Libor ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
The objective of Diploma thesis is design of analysis tool for equalizers used in FMT modulation. The model of transmission channel was designed for simulations with FMT. The transmission path is modeled by test loop, which corresponds to DSL line. For this reason, some principles of DSL technology is described in the thesis. The principles of multicarrier modulation are introduced in first part. The multicarrier modulation with filter bank (FMT) is described in detail. The different methods of design the fiter bank are given and compared. Channel equalization are introduced in second part. The attention was focused on minimum mean square error filtering (MMSE). Decision feedback channel equalizer (DFE) is extended from linear MMSE equalizer. DFE equalizers were programmed in analysis tool. For computation of equalizer coeficients was used also equalizers based on adaptive algorithms and MMSE. The last part describes the results of DFE equalizers used in communication system with FMT modulation. Analysis tool was programmed in MATLAB with a graphical user interface. It allows to show mean square error, signal-to-noise ratio and transmission speed dependence on delay between original and distorted signal. Signal-to-noise ration is displayed also in individual subchannels and users can display mean square error dependence on different orders of DFE filters.
