Placing the patient after total hip replacement and nursing care.
KUBEŠOVÁ, Hana
Today, a total hip replacement is often the only way for millions of people around the world how to return to normal life and live a full life without pain. To returning to a full life after a total hip replacement it is needed, however, sufficient information provided by nurses, given not only to patients but also to their relatives. A nurse plays an important role in giving information, because she accompanies a patient not only during the entire hospitalization period, but also during the whole preoperative period, related to a patient´s visits to the outpatient section. A nurse should not only be fully aware of the nursing care before and after surgery, but should be able to adequately inform patients before the hospital admission and to ensure patients´ smooth return to normal life. The survey was carried out through in-depth interviews with ten randomly selected patients after a total hip replacement. The patients were hospitalized in the orthopedic department of the hospital in Tábor. The research group consisted of five women and five men. The patients were asked several additional questions to determine how and when they had been informed about the total hip replacement. It was also necessary to find out how they had been informed about the movement regimen before the hospital admission, and if there had been any problems during hospitalization that might have been associated with the discharge to home care. The main objective of this study was to methodically determine the patients´ awareness before the total hip replacement, to identify the most frequent problems of patients after the hip surgery and to analyze the needs of patients after the total hip replacement before the hospital discharge. The research survey has found that patients had been given information by the nurses in a sufficient extent, but only at the time of hospitalization, which in some cases proved to be inadequate. Some patients did not manage to adequately prepare their domestic environment, including compensation aids facilitating the movement after the hip joint replacement and had to deal with this issue through the mediation of their family during their hospitalization. Owing to the information submitted late, for example, the period of hospitalization may be prolonged unplannedly because the patient is not sufficiently prepared to be discharged to home care. The investigation has shown that it would be desirable to enhance the awareness of patients before the hospital admission to the hip surgery, e.g. through the form of information meetings. Then patients would have the opportunity to get ready both compensation aids suitable for the movement regimen after the total hip replacement and the home environment before the surgery so that they could be discharged to home care at any time. Patients´ awareness before the surgery is an important part of quality nursing care provided to patients and leads to patients´ satisfaction.

The Movement of 68' and the Catholic Church in Germany
Bratinka, Ondřej ; Suchánek, Drahomír (advisor) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
The first part of the thesis focuses on the history of the student movement of 68ers in West Germany and its Marxist ideological fundaments. The second part explores the development, within the German Catholic Church, of the most significant ideological currents which survived the regime of National Socialism and have continued to influence the society of post-war Germany. The author then analyzes the ideological clash of the modern neo-Marxist movement and modern secular society with social teachings of the Catholic Church as formulated by the Second Vatican Council. The aim of the thesis is to probe the diverse ideological world in Germany of the nineteen sixties, mainly its extreme left versus its conservative opposition. In the final part the author reviews the societal consequences of the dramatic late sixties and the influence of the most relevant societal institutions and ideological movements in the last 150 years of German history. A summary of some of the problems which the current German secular and Church historiographies face, whose most recent findings were the study material for the thesis, is presented.

The effectiveness of aids for incontinence patients in aftercare
MUSILOVÁ, Jana
This thesis deals with the effectiveness of use of aids intended for incontinent ill people in subsequent care. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and experience part. The experience part of the thesis has been implemented by means of qualitative research. The data have been obtained on the basis of two different half pen and paper interviews with patients/clients who are using incontinence aids prescribed by a doctor on a coupon or by a matron or a ward sister from the subsequent care department in hospitals with the state-funded organization and in hospitals with the joint-stock company organization. The result of the qualitative research showed, that both groups of respondents use mostly only plastic pants or nappies out of the whole assortment of aids. For patients/clients living at home the reason is that on the basis of anamnesis the general doctors prescribe the incontinence aids only in the most serious incontinence cases. At the subsequent care department the situation is caused by a big number of immobile fully incontinent patients/clients. The results show, that the quantity of absorb aids prescribed by general doctors is insufficient. It does not reach the quantity limits given in the documents by VZP (Public Health Insurance Company). Taking into consideration the low income of seniors, the respondents have to pay considerable amounts of money for incontinence aids which are necessary for them. There is an absolute lack of absorption aids in the hospital with the state funded organization. The incontinence aids are financed by three different ways. Patients/clients themselves have to get and pay the absorption aids at the Geriatrics department I and subsequent care department 2. The hospital provides them only with one-off mats and hygienic aids free of charge. The reason for this is a low limit of material. The respondents regard this system of financing negatively. It burdens patients/clients and nurses too. If patients/clients do not have the aids, the hospital has to lend the aids, make a list of debts and collects them back. On this account conflict situations often arise in families. At these departments there are reserved five social beds which enable patients/clients the prescription of aids by a doctor on a coupon likewise the patients who are ill and cure at home. At the stopgap department patients/clients pay a monthly fee; this includes the costs on incontinence aids too. At the subsequent care department 2A, B of the hospital with the join-stock company organization the aids are fully paid by the hospital. There is available a sufficient assortment and quantity of absorb and hygienic aids, which enable an individual attitude.

Factors important for Cajal body formation
Roithová, Adriana ; Staněk, David (advisor) ; Valentová, Anna (referee)
This research describes the structure and function of nuclear domains called Cajal bodies (CB). CB contain proteins and factors involved in assembly and modification of snRNPs. These bodies are found in vertebrates and invertebrates and even plants. Not all cell types contain CB. Their number and size depends on the transcription activity of cell and cell cycle phase. This paper discusses the factors that affect the CB formation. One of the most important factors is the level of snRNPs and transcription activity. Recently shows that an important role in CB formation has coilin and other components phosphorylation. Other works show the influence of the environment. There is also discussion regulation of CB biogenesis, witch is not yet fully understood. Key words: Cajal bodies, coilin, cell nucleus, snRNP, pre-mRNA splicing, transcription

10 years with grey literature at Tomas Bata University in Zlín
Budínský, Lukáš ; Fabián, Ondřej
The Library of Tomas Bata University in Zlín has been working on accessioning academic grey literature systematically for the last 10 years. During this time, one of the first information systems storing theses and dissertations changed from a closed, manually updated system into a fully automated and fully open repository with a number of integrations with both internal and external systems. New types of documents were added and several services were introduced for working with grey literature effectively. This contribution will describe its current state and outline the hurdles encountered getting there.

Performance of Anchor-Free Localization in Wireless Sensor Network
Nováček, Aleš ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
Many applications that use senzor data from a wireless senzor network require corresponding node position information as well, information from the senzors is useful only if node location information is also available. There are many ways to get information about location of senzor, but some are expensive and inefficient. My work presents fully decentralized algorithm AFL (anchor-free localization) for localization of wireless sensors. Aim of my master´s thesis is to describe main features and advantages of AFL and to create program that simulates localization process.

Measuring team effectivenes
Kočí, Ondřej ; Pavlica, Karel (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee) ; Bedrnová, Eva (referee)
The thesis is aimed at hot topic discussed among company managers nearly all over the world. The managers are concerned whether the team work is as efficient as it can be, whether the potential of team is fully used and how to train or develop teams to be more compatible and more effective. It is easy to measure the performance of operations teams. But this thesis focuses on teams where the hard measurements like time/pieced measures are not applicable. Method described in the thesis is more likely based on team communication analysis, effectiveness of team decision-making process in different stages of team development cycle. The methods describing the social interaction, team work and effective leaderships are the theoretical background of study in the thesis. The data used in study were collected in related research, where author was part of small research team. The conclusions are clearly presented and supplemented by ideas for further studies.

Their effect has been assessed not only to people who are registered on an official address, but also to other citizens and public administration.

Procurement of Transportation Services in Anheuser-Busch InBev
Ivashkevich, Alexandra ; Vinš, Marek (advisor) ; Kolář, Petr (referee)
Nowadays, companies involved in the international trade and production of goods in order to retain customers and increase market share are forced to assure excellence in the performance at all stages of their supply chains. Transportation plays critical role and can be argued to be the most crucial link in the supply chain determining its success or failure. However, regardless of such high importance, this process is very often outsourced as companies do not possess sufficient expertise and resources to deploy this function in-house. Thus, companies have to develop effective strategies and plan their procurement activities accordingly and then manage the outcome. There is not a lot of studies that would take a narrow look at the development of procurement strategy for transportation services in particular. This work is aimed to get the insight and discuss strategic, planning level and post operational evaluation of the procurement of transportation services and explore practical implication on the example of AB InBev through in-depth interviews with company employees. As an outcome this work is aimed to provide an outline of the company performance, value added or negative aspects as a result of application of previously discussed strategies.
