Project of a non-profit organisation providing social-active service for families with children
GARAIOVÁ, Veronika
I described topics related to the title of the thesis in its theoretical part and in that way I made a comprehensive survey focused on the social fieldwork in families. The first target of the thesis was - to learn the experience of some chosen non-profit-making organizations which deliver socially activating services to families with children. The qualitative research, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-standardized interview were used for achieving my objective. The same kinds of research, method and technique were used for achieving my second objective, i.e. - to map the status of delivering socially activating services to families with children in the South Bohemia region which realize saving of families. I carried out two kinds of interviews; the first one - in non-profit-making organizations; the second one - with some OSPOD{\crq}s women-workers in České Budějovice. The set aims were fulfilled. Then, on the base of the detected data, I formulated my findings. My findings confirmed that the experience of organizations which deliver socially activating services to families with children is consistent. Employees of non-governmental non-profit-making organizations indicated that the functioning of their organizations is successful and that they cope with their purposes and aims. The women-workers of OSPOD concurred in their statements that the kind of work with families seemed beneficial and the women-workers were open for cooperation with organizations in that field, which is an important aspect for those organizations. The current situation in delivering socially activating services to families with children in the South Bohemia region is not unsatisfactory, but it is not fully cowered yet. There is no organization fully focused on the saving of families, especially in some border areas of the region. My interviews contributed to the creation of my project design of a non-governmental, non-profit-making organization. On the base of the project design socially activating services (fieldwork form) for families with children in the South Bohemia region could be realized (under the law No. 108/2008 of Collection of Law {--} Social Services Act). In this way the project is the practical output of my thesis and it can be used for the creating of an organization focused on the saving of families in the South Bohemia region. The project and its implementation expect cooperation with experts qualified in that field. If the project is realized, the number of socially activating services in the South Bohemia region will increase and the only organization focused wholly on the saving of families will be created.

Epidural anesthesia during labour nowadays
LAŠTOVKOVÁ, Aneta
Current Obstetric Epidural Analgesia Labour pain belongs to every physiological childbirth. Enormous pain, however, was proved to affect a woman in labour and a child negatively so satisfactory pain relief should be provided. Current obstetric analgesia aims at/seeks for/strives after observing a physiological childbirth process. Epidural analgesia is the safest and most effective method of labour pain relief available today. Epidural analgesia is used in case of pain in labour and delivery, on request of the woman in labour and in prolonged delivery. Epidural analgesia could be also provided in preeclampsy, breech delivery, multiple pregnancy, premature delivery and cardiotocographic abnormalities. Although epidural analgesia is very popular and safe, no complication should be omitted. Good hospital care provided by obstetricians, anesthesiologists and nurse midwives could prevent most complications. Obviously, professional care in labour with epidural analgesia can only be provided by well-educated and experienced obstetric staff. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with information concerning delivery pain and pain relief methods. Together with epidural method, its indication, contraindication and complications, also spinal anatomy is mentioned in this part. All professional and communicative steps of midwife care about the woman in labour with epidural analgesia are described here. To fulfil the aim of the thesis, qualitative and quantitative research strategies were used. The women in labour with and without epidural analgesia were observed for collecting data in qualitative method. The same clients were consequently asked about their information and attitudes to epidural analgesia. Altogether eight casualties were formed. To collect data for quantitative method, the questionnaire of thirteen questions was prepared and send out to maternity hospitals. Eighty-six questionnaires were sent out and twenty- eight (25, 7 %) were sent back. The main aim of the thesis was to find out how available the epidural analgesia in labour is in our maternity hospitals. The next aim was to monitor the women in labour with and without epidural analgesia. The aims were accomplished through the research questions: How available is epidural analgesia used in labour in Czech maternity hospitals? What diffferences are there in labour with and without epidural analgesia? This work can be applied as a source of information for midwife students and nurses.

The attitude of the expert and the lay public towards institut of alternative punishments.
TURKOVÁ, Petra
Globally, the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries has been a period of major reforms in criminal law which are connected with the effort to find new methods to deal with crime and to replace or at least complement some inflexible procedures in administration of criminal cases. More and more attention is being paid to alternative proceedings before the court and alternative punishments in criminal cases. The Czech Republic has not fallen behind in the developments. My work seeks to map the options of alternative punishments, with a focus on community service. My work also deals with the legal framework for punishments in form of community service in selected countries. I will also mention the institute of Probation and Mediation Service. The work also points to the prepared amendment to the Criminal Code in connection with community service punishments. The research in my work is divided into two parts. The first part is a quantitative survey of opinions of the general public and the other part is a qualitative survey of opinions of professionals, such as judges, policemen and officers of the Probation and Mediation Service. The main objective of the work is to learn about the general public attitudes to and awareness of application and implementation of alternative punishments. I tried to find out which punishments would be preferred by the general public. Another objective of this work has been to survey opinions of professionals in respect to application and implementation of alternative punishments. In the first survey three of my hypotheses have been confirmed and two have been disconfirmed. Based on results of the secod part of the survey I have devised three hypotheses. The results of my work have shown that although the general public has a certain level of awareness of the issue, the knowledge is very superficial. The general public has demonstrated a significant degree of tolerance and benevolence to persons with alternative punishments. Professionals mostly approve the existing legal framework for the alternative punishments. They find the definition of these punishments in the Criminal Code adequate and they believe that alternative punishments have been used sufficiently. The work will serve as a general overview of the issue.

Title: Swimming level of pupils from primary school with private swimming pool. Work objectives: The aim is to identify assess level of swimming of pupils from first to ninth grade of primary school with a private pool in Chomutov district using continuous swimming test with regular swimming lessons, which is started in the first grade and persists until the ninth grade. The condition was organizing a school swimming lessons once a week for 45 minutes in all grades. Methodology: Swimming level was measured quantitatively based on a distance test at 200 m of continuous swimming. Qualitative assessment of swimming level was carried out by observing the course of the test situation and was applied to swimming skills of jump into water, realization of swimming breathing and swimming locomotion. In total, 738 probands were surveyed of which 356 boys and 382 girls. Results: We noted that 53% of surveyed probands with regular swimming lessons are able to swim 200m without interruption of continuous swimming test. We also noted that surveyed pupils who swam less than 200m had acquired less swimming skills (swimming breath and jump into water) than students who can swim 200m. Another finding is that students chose crawl as the first swimming style and that it was more preferred by boys. Girls swimming style...

A topic of bachelor thesis is "Children nutrition in hospitals - the specific needs and real ensuring". The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and the second is practical. The theoretical part is main unit of this thesis. It's divided into five points. First point is about man needs and especially about child needs. In the next chapters of this thesis are mentioned basic principles of child nutrition followed by hospitalization and its impact on child's psyche. The next chapter contains a list of essential nutrients which man needs for his daily life (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, etc.). In the next chapters are mentioned the food pyramid and the decalogue of child nutrition. The penultimate chapter is about the anthropometric parameters like body weight, stature or measurement of skinfold thickness. These parameters are important indicator of child nutritional status. The fifth and last chapter is devoted to pathophysiology of child nutrition. These are a disease that threaten the child development. These include obesity, diabetes mellitus, celiac disease, etc. The theoretical part is complemented by practical part. The practical part is based on qualitative research. It was processed on the basis of interviews with hospitalized children, their observation and...

Applications of chiral and achiral chromatography in pharmacology and toxicology
Chytil, Lukáš ; Slanař, Ondřej (advisor) ; Bultas, Jan (referee) ; Coufal, Pavel (referee)
Development and validation of methods for analysis of several drugs or their metabolites are decribed in this thesis. The document is presented as a commentary to the original papers, which were published in peer reviewed journals. Discussion on the optimization of each method is presented and covers also method development and influence of preanalytical aspects. Additionally, examples of the application of the developed methods in clinical pharmacology and toxicology are shown. This dissertation consists of three parts: enantiomeric determination of tramadol and its metabolite, determination of some antihypertensive drugs, and qualitative analysis of benzodiazepines. Development of a method for chiral analysis of tramadol and its desmethylated metabolite O- desmethyltramadol (ODT) in human urine and plasma is described in the first part of the thesis. Tramadol is a centrally acting analgetic drug, which is used as racemate in clinical practise. Each enantiomer displays different binding properties for various receptors: (+)-tramadol preferentially inhibits serotonin reuptake while (-)-tramadol mainly inhibits noradrenalin reuptake. (+)-tramadol is considered 10-times more potent than (-)-tramadol. Major active metabolite (ODT), which is considered to be the main agent responsible for the...

Present system of nurse's education and nurse's competention in the health education area (in intensive care units).
Povolná, Pavla ; Haškovcová, Helena (advisor) ; Holmerová, Iva (referee)
Autor highlights present situation of health education providing by nurses and thinking about nurse's competentions and knowledges in the education and information area as well. Transmission of information in health care is difficult, irritable, unclearly task, perceiving by nurse's often as potentionally danger. There are descripted different contexts of the problem in each part of theoretical view of the graduation thesis (legal, historical, social, relational, educational). Practice part gives an overview of quantitative research and explanation of some tasks by confirmation or negation of hypothesis generated by qualitative research. Results of questionnaire investigation shows, that nurse's competentions to educate are uncrearly area neither nor nurses, nor for experts in health care or public. Recognizing of present situation is a first step to the future improvement. Frame 0standardization of providing health education by nurses could be a way out of the maze. This way must be announced, consisted, commemorated and continually evaluated on each care unit.

The media presentment of Václav Havel in the selected periods 2003-2008
Hudečková, Martina ; Vochocová, Lenka (referee) ; Wolák, Radim (advisor)
Diploma thesis "The media presentment oj Vaclav Havel in the selected periods 2003-2008" tries to delineate constructions of media presentment of the late president of Czech Republic Václav Havel after leaving presidency. We will analyze two selected periods in two czech journals - Lidové noviny and Právo. The periods are defined: a) 1.2. - 31.3.2003 and b) 1.2. 31.3.2008. The first period covers two months after the end of Havel"s president function, the second period contents the same two months five years later, so we could make a comparison what has changed during those five years in the media presentment of Havel. We will describe textual matter as well as photographies, using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The basic theoretic resource is the theory of the social construction of reality and the basic methodological resource will be the quantitative analysis. The diploma thesis will try to discover, how the selected medias go in making the media presentment of a famous person; if they use some repeating procedures or habits. The main aim is to intimate constructions of media presentments: if selected media will construct positive or negative presentments of Václav Havel, if they will try to be objective or they will have inclinations to use some emotive and subjective valuations. Because we will...

Methods of molecular and cell biology in the frame of secondary school education
Blaha, Milan ; Ehler, Edvard (advisor) ; Pavlasová, Lenka (referee)
Teaching of cell and molecular biology is often restricted by financial and material limitations as well as a lack of expertise. These problems may be overcome by cooperation with scientific institutions and universities. Some scientists teach select courses under the auspices of high school. Others allow students to fulfill internships at their workplaces. The first aim of this thesis is to describe the characteristics of summer school, wherein the participants are integral for providing feedback on what matters most to them. The second goal of the study is to perform four molecular biology lab lessons in the advanced placement genetics course. The results of a qualitative research conducted among summer school participants have shown the benefits present due to contact that occurs between people of the same genuine interest. Student evaluation of molecular biology lessons performed in the advanced placement course revealed that the lab lessons are feasible and positively accepted by students. The thesis also highlights the importance of cooperation between high school and academia. Key words: molecular biology, DNA, secondary schools, gifted students
