It is also characterized by the transformation of the rural environment, the transformation of traditional architecture and the import of new, a low-quality architecture, as well as poor quality environment, which is contrasting to aspects of sustainable development. Real form of these changes was recorded during 3 mapping weekends during autumn 2009-2010 in the Kysuce region. Reference solutions and experiences are continuously searched in the literature concerning the rural areas and theories as well as in known endeavors influencing this negative spatial planning in specific planning documents in Czech and Slovak Republic and other European countries. The article focuses on the benefits or negatives of regulations, their sense and other forms of positive influence on built environment development.

Kolářová, Kateřina ; Hupková, Martina (referee) ; Perlín, Radim (advisor)
Ability to obtain grant titles in selected rural municipalities Abstract An important theme of the Member States of the European Union is rural development. For the Czech Republic, this topic became current after accession to the EU in 2004. In previous years, the Czech Republic had the opportunity to benefit from pre-accession programs (e.g. PHARE, SAPARD) in the period 2004-2006 to use all the tools for the development of European countryside. The uniqueness of the programming period 2007-2013 is the ability to draw funds in the entire length of the programming period, and a wide range of support. The bachelor thesis deals with the cause of the success of profit grant titles of the Rural Development Programme, Operational Programme for Environment and Regional Operation Programme NUTS II Southwest. Its aim is to analyze the influence of the causes for profit grant titles of selected programs and determine whether appearance, geographic location, and civic and technical facilities of the municipalities affects the volume of money obtained from grant titles. Attention is focused on the municipalities district Klatovy in size of 500-999 people. Keywords: rural development, rural municipalities, grant titles, appearance, civic and technical facilities, geographic location

Diplomová práce Vztah obyvatel k místu 5 Abstract This thesis entitled "Relationship of inhabitants to their home place in Eastern and Western Ore Mountains (Krušné hory)" focuses on the issue of a relationship the current inhabitants have to the area they live in. This relationship is defined on the basis of several distinct theoretical areas. Presented diploma paper defines the phenomenon of school of rural renewal through four case studies that illustrate different approaches to this institution, and through their comparison. The empirical research is based on a theory development including definition of key words; rural areas, rural problems and rural renewal being among them. Analyzing interviews with the schools' representatives together with documentation study lead to conducting four examples of schools of rural renewal presenting four strategies for rural renewal. Despite having different approaches to the same topic, they correspond in several characteristics: they are a municipality project, they share the common idea of introducing further education to the regional politics and the target group is defined as the municipality officers. Major development of the phenomenon of schools of rural renewal was experienced in 1990's, when they meant a large contribution to the rural stakeholders' acquirements and capacity building. Bohemian lands and the War of 1813
Kessler, Vojtěch ; Bělina, Pavel (referee) ; Stellner, František (advisor)
In my work I try to analyze the war events of the year 1813, which took place on our land. I focused mostly on the reactions to the events from the inhabitants of the cities and the countryside. Therefore the key questions were - how did the inhabitants see and understand the major war events of their time. I also kept in mind the reflection about the economical difficulties caused by the military actions, or by a simple passing of the armies. For the obvious reasons I focused on the inhabitants of the north of the Bohemia region. It turned out that the war is still understood by a simple man of the beginning of the 19 century as a God's deal or as a caprice of the mighty. The people realized it's destructive potential only if it directly affected them. We could say that the level of the disagreement and the laments is inversely proportional to the distance between the places where the battles took place or where the armies were passing and the residences of the people manifesting them. Despite the sufferings of the war and the economic exhaustion, very soon after the battles had stopped, news about the natural cycles and the harvest started to reappear in the chronicles. Those were undoubtedly the events of a great importance for a person of that time.

Hejná, Šarlota ; Hejnák, Václav (advisor) ; Lubomír, Lubomír (referee)
As the name suggests, in my bachelor thesis, I was dealing with the inventory of memorable trees in the smallest Protected Landscape Area - CHKO Blaník. Functions of trees, located in the countryside and in the urban area, are defined in the introductory section. The part following deals with the historical development of tree protection, and is divided into forest conservation and trees outside forests. Wood plants growing outside of the forests are further described in terms of their protection, permitted felling and legally compulsory replacement planting, in accordance with applicable law. A substantial part of the thesis is dedicated to memorable trees. Firstly, the significance of memorable trees is presented and the current state is being compared with the past, further on, the record memorable trees in our country are mentioned. In accordance to legal rules, legal and contractual protection is specified, essential elements, concerning declaration of memorable trees, their registration and annulment. A tree care, also subjected to legislation, is aimed at preservative tree care, cut trees and tree ties. For each type of care, treatment methods or tools are described. In the context of protection of memorable trees, the project of rescuing the gene pool of memorable trees is also mentioned and then the memorable trees abroad are briefly described. The protected landscape, in which the revision took place, is briefly described in the context of its geological past and represented fauna and flora. Then the description of small protected areas of the region follows. Then the revision of memorable trees was performed, including measurements of dendrometic parameters, for example determining the height of the tree, its perimeter, width and height of the crown. Futhermore, the treatment of each tree was summerized according to Central list of nature protection, and photographic documentation of each individual at the time of foliage and without foliage was taken to understand the habitus of the tree. The results are used to update the parameters in the Central list of nature protection and suggested treatments are the basis for the future care of the memorable trees. The results showed that the the most common species is Tilia cordata. Trees are generally in a good health, but a regularity of treatment is necessary.

Knowledge of the crop yield with sufficient lead time prior to harvest is crucial for both the farm management and the agro-food sector policy. The aim of this study was to test feasibility of developing crop yield forecasting model in Czech Republic for winter wheat, spring barley and oilseed rape based on 2000-2014 database of vegetation indices Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI2) from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on Terra satellite in form of 16-days composites. An average yield data were collected for 14 selected districts in the Czech Republic that represent the regions with more intensive agricultural production among varying climate and topographic conditions. The viability of the concept was proven in years with significant yield decline i.e. 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2012, when yields of cereals were significantly affected by occurred drought periods. More stable regression results were achieved in the most productive areas such as Olomouc and Prerov, whilst models in highland regions were influenced by lower acreage of three modelled crops and higher prevalence of fodder crops. In most cases, EVI2 showed higher correlations to the crop yield together with using an average value of all composites during vegetation period.
